    Good review! I've got about 2500 miles on my 23 Z900 and love it! I'm dying to get it tuned to really open it up some more, but even without it I'm 99% happy with the purchase. I completely agree with your pro/cons list! I picked up a Bagster seat and it's a huge game changer. I went with their cheaper option and the front/rear seat are a massive improvement over the OEM seats. I'm now able to ride for 5+ hours without being in pain. The stock seat would start to hurt me after about an hour

    I think im the only z900 owner that actually likes the antenna side mirrors 😂, to me it makes the bike look like an excited little puppy with its ears straight up and pointy.
    the exhaust had to go tho shit looks horrible 💀, put on the Yoshimura AT2 slip on and got the M4 headers but still waiting on delivery for that

      It sounds like you might be talking about the shift light you can turn on. It will make the rpm gauge flash when you get to a curtain rpm. If it’s that you should be able to turn off in the settings.

    this was nice, thanks, be safe have fun everyone :)
    most tires need to be pretty warm to achieve max grip but that being said both the grip and durability is as good as it's ever been when it comes to tires. today's tires are more the adequate for city use.. also, the center of the tire is optimized for durability and the edges for grip.
    funny story: of course there are always better tires but keep in mind that what kawasaki cruiser guys want to replace since the first forum was created, the trimph and harley people upgrade to, for the same reason: changing out the stock brand :)

    These bikes really wake up with a tune. Moore Mafia did a video, unrestricted and tuned he saw 6-11 whp gains throughout the rpm range, the 11 whp gains being like 6-8k rpm’s. Those massive mid range gains means in a rolling start/overtaking traffic this thing would be pretty insane… the torque curve is nice and flat, the power in super linear, plus the tune moves the rev limiter up 500 rpm as the bike continues to make power up that high…

    • @duroxkilo
      @duroxkilo Год назад +1

      wasted money and fuel, no disrespect... unless you're doing track times, but then again, this is not the proper bike for such things :)

    • @sleeper.simulant7327
      @sleeper.simulant7327 Год назад +2

      @@duroxkilo that’s subjective. In your eyes it’s wasted, to many it’s not. Extra power to overtake vehicles on secondary roads is always welcome in my eyes. Plus customizing is fun…

    • @duroxkilo
      @duroxkilo Год назад

      @@sleeper.simulant7327 it's fun knowing the engine got extra power... objectively it is not needed :), i use that money for an advance riding course, it always makes the riding more safe (=fun).
      this bike can accelerate in top gear from 40mph if needed, no problem, it's a beast.
      i have a 900cc v-twin with probably half the power of the z900 that does over-taking just as easily as my 1600cc v-twin. the difference is between 2/4 throttle and 1/4 throttle, none require 4/4 throttle :)
      anyways, be safe and always check tire pressure :)

    If you ride a new ‘21-up MT-09 AFTER riding this you’ll buy the Yamaha.
    The Z900 definitely does not have it all. It’s missing everything.
    MT-09 for $9499, packed with tech and actually built in Japan, not Thailand like the Z900, is a much better bang for your buck.
    Z900 needs updated badly. It’s bottom feeder sadly.

I’m pretty sure the US markets and euro markets are Japanese made but Australia, India, and some other Asian markets get the Thai made ones! I will be selling mine for this reason, and am trying to raise as much awareness as I can about Kawasaki doing this to its customers!
