Seeing you ride through Ellicott makes a piece of my soul hurt. I miss that little city sometimes, and wish I could ride the twisties one day. Thanks for the review
Kawi silky smooth and fast ASF 🤘 owned a zx6r that was a tasty bike they also feel lighter and turn in better then most . I want one of these now . Nothing compares to the Heavy Industries Team Green for life 💚
I got 48 mpg the first 600 miles then 59 mpg after my next oil filter change with Amzoil. Had to cut the mirrors in half so I could add a 3:00 inch extension tube so I could see around my shoulders.
The passion for riding really comes through in your video. You showed features that actually matter. You got me considering the Z900 again. You have ny sub and I look forward to seeing more content 👍 Only question I have is how the weight feels with slow speed maneuvers.
Honestly slow speed maneuvers the weight feels light to me. Also at slow speeds the motor is super smooth which helps with being able to complete the maneuvers with confidence
v nice presentation thanks.. be safe, have fun everyone. ps i'm not sure if the new manuals state this for the break-in period, but on the older kawasakis, from sport to cruisers, it said that alternating the engine RPM is key... meaning don't keep it at the max 'allowed' range for the entire ride. it has to do w/ heat cycling the parts: heat them up, let them cool down, as each metal alloy presents different thermal characteristics..
I got my zx4rr last Friday as well! The break in period is so tedious with the lil 400cc only running 40mph at 4K rpm in 6th 😅at least you have some power down low- mine feels like an anemic moped during break in! Kawasaki is really killing it with their motorcycle lineup these days. Hope your z900 brings you much moto joy!
Very nice! I test rode the Kawasaki z and ninja line up, and the take away was their inline 4's are very smooth, especially in 1st gear in traffic. My favorite was the 900rs, it had a really nice exhaust note for a stock pipe.
Trying to decide between the Z or the Ducati streetfighter v2. Gotta admit, the Kawasaki I'm fond of because I had a 1976 kz900 bought brand new that year. I'm not really into looking back, hence I would prefer the Z se. As far as the Duc goes, yeah I'm an old f**k but I can afford it. Nice, informative video. Appreciate it. Subbed.
That’s a hard one. The ducati will probably have lot more tech and higher end components. But the z has that smooth inline 4 and should be super reliable long term and cheaper maintenance.
@pitbikemike1331 Not to mention less than half the cost for insurance where I live. I do love the feeling of sitting in the bike on the Z but, the fit & finish as well as the top notch componentry of the V2, just wow. Both beautiful machines. It'll be a tough call but, if one doesn't work out the other is always an option 😉👍
Yeah I’m getting one tomorrow, the same colour black and red because it’s such a bargain , I’m removing the red stickers also , tail tidy and bar end mirrors . I’m guna keep the red tape around the rims and get a scorpion exhaust that has red in it , but the red stickers on the bike look tacky
My tip to you is if you take a passenger on that motorcycle make sure you do not have to hit the brakes hard because she will go over your shoulders. The rear seat is very high.
Hi Mike, I just picked my new 2023 Z900, out of curiosity does yours make a noise when you turn the key from ignition to off? Mine makes a funny sound for about 3sec that sounds like an old fax or printer under the front of the tank.
Yes mine does make that noise too. I'm not sure what it is but I'm sure it isn't anything wrong with the bike. I've put over 2k miles on it so far and it's been absolutely amazing so I personally wouldn't be worried.
Congrats to all you that have this bike, or getting in the future. I just bought the 23 Z900 SE and where I live it's currently winter. I have had it out for only 20 km (Canada). Talk about delayed gratification. I can tell I'm going to love it even at that small spin. Anyway, I think that sound, it's the same as the 2010 Ninja 650 I have, is the fuel pump priming and then turning off but I may also be way off base. But if I am, then what else could it be? Doesn't seem to be anything else that would make that sound. It's certainly not a fan, especially when the bike is cold.
@gregroland7220 Congrats on the new bike, the SE is awesome, we dont get the SE in Australia however the standard Z900 is such a fantastic bike. It's one of those bikes you have a great experience every time you ride it. I mainly ride mine in the twistie mountain roads & its always performed perfectly.
Hi, I also have the '23 Z900, I got it about a week or so and rode it for about 30ish miles due to cold weather. I'm not a cold weather rider lol but if temps reaches about 50 or more is good for me. Anyway the time I rode my bike it felt so awesome in all kinds of ways. Bty good vid. Have fun and ride safe.
How does your girlfriend like riding on the back, I just bought a z900 and it has a wayyy smaller passenger seat than my recent bike (2000 Suzuki katana 750) and that thought didn’t pass my mind so I hope mine isn’t pissed 😅
Short distance (25 min or less) she is normally good with it, but on longer rides…… she is less than thrilled unfortunately lol. Hopefully you enjoy the z900 though!
My man you made it look better by getting rid of cheesy stickers. 👏
Just put a deposit on a 2024 model 😍
Just got mine last week

That they are! I test rode a zx6r and even though I'm not big sports bike guy I would own one of those.
Nice video mate! Learned a few new things about the Z900 I haven’t seen on other reviews. Stay safe bro!
I got 48 mpg the first 600 miles then 59 mpg after my next oil filter change with Amzoil. Had to cut the mirrors in half so I could add a 3:00 inch extension tube so I could see around my shoulders.
Seems like you found the bike you were looking for! Great choice! I’m looking forward to the videos
Yeppp so far I definitely enjoy it a lot more than the duke. So many pluses about this bike over the ktm
Great choice. I am getting one too around end of this year.

Yea I hope so too! So far it has, and that zx4rr probably be a lot of fun once that is broken in also

@@austonboston4361Ducati has something kawi don’t unreliability and high maintenance. You’ll wrench on a Ducati more then ride it.
Looks soooo much better without those tacky stickers.
You should raise the handlebars with 30mm.. makes the bike alot more comfortable and fun to ride

Gotta make sure to do full exhaust or breadbox delete for the full sound. If you just do a slip on it doesn’t make really any difference
Sweet lookin bike! 👍🏽 That RAM Mount looks like u can fit a tablet on it.
Lol yeaaa but compared to the old ram mount I had, this one is so much easier and quicker to use
@@pitbikemike That's cool. Whatever works. 👍🏽 Really nice bike. Safe travels!
Great video...great bike...where is this town? It looks so European...🤩👌
Nice n pretty till you see stock exhaust still on.
Lol yeaaa that will be taken care of before to long

It is high, but my gf actually really likes it cause she is able to look around above my head lol

So what’s the bike you keep alluding to wanting to get but never goes your way?
Gsx-s750. That’s what I wanted. But so far the z900 is really making a good case
Wait, so the red is stickers not paint??? Dammit. Picking mine up on Saturday.
Yeaa tbh I’m glad it wasn’t paint cause I wasn’t fan of the red.. the bike looks much better gray and blk. But besides that the bike is fantastic
Mike my new 890 I got around the same time as you got yours already had 2 oil leaks, maybe you’re on to something lol
Dang sorry to hear that, yea I didn’t trust the reliability of the duke, final straw was when it failed to start three times cause of key failure.
Duke is garbage.
Ktm is junk, only get the 690 and 1290 ones, all others are chinese made..

Will not scream unless you change those headers idc what pipe you buy that break box and caty has to go then she’ll scream
