ECU flash does wonders, regardless of what exhaust companies say. It's not about peak power. It's about removing all the factory garbage and allowing the air to flow through the motor at all rpm.
I found adjusting the shift lever height to suit how far up i can comfortably pull the lever helped false neutrals. I don't think I've hit a false neutral since.
I have had my z900 for 2 months and wish it had cruise control. I think all bikes shoukd have cruise control. Yeah, having an option to turn ABS off would be good too. I would be glad to pay extra for that feature and cruise control. When I ride mine I go a good distance on it.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2021 Z-900, and 24K miles on it. Been through two tire changes and upgraded the exhaust like you did. Replaced chain and sprocket. I also purchased the comfort seat from Kawasaki and it made a huge difference for comfort. I still love the bike. I often thought about going to a 1000, but honestly this bike has plenty of speed. By the way, the plastic parts you can replace if you don't like scratches.
Awesome to hear my man, I'm sure the bike feels better with all those goodies. Yeah I often think about it as well but it's really tough to justify the cost of the bike, insurance, maintenance etc. Yeah I haven't pulled the trigger on new aesthetic parts til' I can get a garage. I'm trying to get the red and black 50th anniversary one this weekend. Man it is so pretty. A little intimated after only ridden a 300 for a year but I think I can handle it. I love everything about this bike lol
Bro the 50th anniversary colors are siiiick! Congrats! I recommend motojitsu white belt/blue belt practice on your light 300 while you have it still, then apply those skills to the Z you'll be fine! Especially if you put it in low power mode, ride safe and thanks for watching😎🤙
@@GoGoober awesome thanks for the advice man! I hear a lot of people saying ride in rain mode until your comfortable on it. Love the end when you deadlift in the full track suit too btw hahaha
@@snop6176 Ayyy thanks man!! Gotta have fun or else what's the point! Let me know when you pick up that Z and read the manual about the modes, Trac control curs power if you try and power wheelie so I keep it off
Cool review. Nad leathers too. I test rode one and had a couple of missed upshifts. Same on a Ninja 650. It seems you need to really drop the gear shift down between gears to pick up the next gear. More than the Suzukis, Honda CBR500R and Street Triple which are more snick snick. Any feed back or observations?
Thanks for watching! Haven't experienced a missed upshift I can remember, I can remember many times on track on my DRZ 400 getting missed upshifts!! Happy riding🤙
Do you think this bike would be okay for a beginner rider? I heard you say it has different power modes, and my local dealer is trying to push me into a used 2022 50th-anniversary edition, saying I could just put it in one of those modes and be okay. I will say that I'm older (in my 30s) and most definitely would baby it around as I'm still nervous riding. So far, I don't have any confidence in taking twisties with any sort of speed and even slow below the speed limit for them I have noticed but would enjoy the pep in a straight line more than anything, I believe (big car nut that drag races). Currently I have a couple bikes that I'm riding, 2019 CRF250L, this one seems kinda fun if I want to do some trails but I don't feel safe when I take it on the highway. A 2020 Vulcan S I bought for my wife recently but have only ridden once so I don't have an opinion of it just yet other than I love how comfortable the seating is and the fact I can flat foot it (I'm shorter at 5'8" with a 30 1/2" inseam). Lastly a 2022 Tuareg 660 that I ride the most and absolutely love! my only complaint with it so far is the height, even with it being quite low for an ADV, it's still a little tall for me and I have to tip toe or slide to one side to get a solid foot down. I love the seating position on it as well as it seems really comfortable and I don't feel nervous with it on the highway like the 250L with it being bigger and having plenty of power for highway speeds. My worry other than the Z900 just being too much for me being a beginner is how comfortable the seating position would be? I sat on it for a brief moment and couldn't really tell if it would feel to aggressive as far as leaning forward or not but I did notice I wasn't that fond of how far back my feet had to sit underneath me. The guy at the dealership said that would be something I would get use to really quick. Sorry for the long ramble, but I would love to hear your thoughts! I will add one other bit to this, the dealer is trying to get me to trade the 250L back in and get that Z900 for around 6k out the door with the trade. I don't know if that makes you feel any different about the whole question or not. This is is the listing for the exact bike I'm talking about www.state8.com/inventory/2022-kawasaki-z900-abs-zr900f-peninsula-oh-44264-11903505i
Dude $6k for that beast is incredible! Also doesn't sound like you're too much of a begginner, I went from a DRZ400 to the Z900 and stayed really calm with it during the break in period. Never feel pressured to make that jump too quickly, but that deal is nice😂 I've let my friends ride it in lower power mode and my wife and it's still intimidating for them, but it might mostly be fear of dropping someone else's bike. Also I bet you can get way more for your CRF250, I was gonna do the same trade you are but ended up selling my DRZ later on my own time and got $4k (which is what I bought it for yeww). The Z900 is awesome and a little racey feeling with the seat position but the aftermarket seats could be good to raise the hips up a tad. I'm 6'1 190Ibs and it's a more comfortable ride compared to my DRZ. Less vibration, freeway is butter (besides the wind which isn't even that bad), suspension is better etc
@@GoGoober well I just left the dealership, they gave me I think 3,800 for the CRF and the Z came to 6,000 out the door with tags, tax, title. I pick it up first thing in the morning.
