This guy just oozes cool - lots of talent, drive, intelligence, good looks, humility, and a great sense of humor. Chris is the perfect "ambassador" for the motorcycle industry and motorcycle racing. He is someone who can relate equally well to motorcycle fans of every stripe - from casual riders to top tier racers and everybody in between. It's no wonder Kawasaki like working with him. I've been a fan since seeing him for the first time testing the H2R. It doesn't matter if you're a hooligan street racer, adventure rider, weekend warrior, motorcycle commuter, or trail rider - with Chris' unique blend of technical understanding, hooligan tendencies, relatable personality, and sense of humor, there's always something to look forward to in his next video. Well done, Chris, as usual!
Congrats with the comeback Chris. And you’re right about the Z900 - it’s easy to discard it beforehand because it’s very much built to be a roadbike, but Kawasaki got a lot of things right when they designed the chassis.
I'm a big fan of the 948cc engine in this bike. Melted-butter smooth everywhere, fat torque right out of the hole, no dips in power development, very easily controllable throttle, chassis is very confidence inspiring and wheels give great feedback about traction and balance. It does need cartridges and a shock for serious work, but what bike under 11k doesn't? In my mind there's no better bang for buck on in the naked class than the GSX-S1000 or Z900.
What a great video 👍. A story to tell, anticipation, action, acceleration all to finish with a great result 🏁🏆. I hope Chris continues to chronicle his racing journey 🤞. Love watching any motorcycle racing from the pits to the chequered 👍. AWESOME!!!
This bike always had a good chassis and good motor. The budget standard suspension and brakes work well on the road but obviously needed an upgrade for the track. Now if only Team Green would produce an R version with said upgraded goodies and a wicked paint scheme then, I would be seriously be tempted to get one. And well done Chris. You sir are a talent. More please.
My mans , i loved that, can't get any more entertaining than one of my most favourite and enthusiastic reviewers goes racing, that's awesome, and i also love that you chose the kawasaki naked for racing ! Great approach!
Listen, Chris - you really come across as a genuinely great guy and I wish you best of luck and success in all of your endeavors! If you're ever in the US, specifically Colorado, I'll give you a place to stay and I'll take you out on some awesome rides, good food and great drinks here in the Rocky Mountains - you have my word on that!
What a pilot that lad is, he’s the best on You Tube to watch ripping a bike a new you no what in reviews and this, epic stuff Chris, onwards and upwards lad 🕺👌🙌🏼
Late response, but that's ok. Impressive that a few upgrades makes a Z900 competitive. I've owned many bikes through the years, and this thing is a blast. Excellent power delivery. Brakes aren't Brembos, but still get the job done. Super smooth and even with stock exhaust, sounds excellent with the wicked intake roar. All in all, have no plans to part with this fine machine.
That was awesome to see what the Z900 is capable of. I recently purchased a 2023 model, only thing I feel need upgrading is the suspension, other than that its the perfect bike
Just like you, i used to race my beloved race prepped yamaha R1 at the VIR, even raced a few times against AMA racers (against josh herrin too), and I've sold it now, now I'm back in my home country (india) looking for a relaxed do it all bike, mainly a street bike.
Love your content and always watch (from the USA) when I see it. Looked like a riot, glad it worked out and went your way-we all need those small victories and bits of incredulous luck when things go our way in life! Really cool bike, wish the nakeds would come racier like that out of the box, it's a shame that you have to spend $$,$$$ to get decent suspension on a stock naked bike. I've got a garage full of superbikes, some really exotic kit in fact.... but the bike I seem to want to ride the most anymore is my fiance's Street Triple 765 RS. Great time to be a motorcyclist with all of the options available these days but they don't all have to be heart attack serious with a heart attack serious price. Just give me a decent, basically competent bike with good suspension and I'll line up to buy.
This. More of this. Such a brilliant video, such a brilliant rider. Love this sort of content alongside the usual brilliant reviews too. I'm helping JHS at Aberdare this weekend so I will definitely come and say hi (read: Fanboy 😂)
Chris and Bike World team, come to Indonesia - Mandalika International Circuit next year! It`s the new circuit for us. Hopefully, we`ll be hosting MotoGP in 2022.
"Never meant to be a race bike" Memories of MiniTwins 2007 😊 Easily won the warm-down wheelie contest, too... unsurprisingly 😉 Only shocked that you'd never sampled Anglesey before now!
A few brands offer cartridges for installation inside the forks, essentially converting them to full supersport forks (compression & rebound damping adjustment, also spring preload adjustment). Rear shocks on most things in this class are very budget and basic. Replace those with a good 3-way adjustable. Front and rear coil springs need to be set to your body weight. When a bike is carving high-G curves on a track, the force will compress suspensions and effectively reduce ground clearance in corners. Also when leaned over, a suspension is naturally less able to battle bumps due to telescoping at 45-50° angle to the bump, that's when chassis flex is important to maintain traction.
Out of the blue you got a call to race a 900 Kawasaki. I hate it when that happens. I'm always too busy doing charity work. Still well done . WHEELIES on the slow down lap should be compulsory .

Well said, sir.
And a ponytail.
Chris is a real flesh-and - blood guy, the motorcycle industry in one finger...
Brilliant! Well done Chris, great to see the Z900 taking some wins!
My favourite bike reviewer is now my favourite bike racer as well! The world is now officially perfect. Well done lad! 🏆
The channel is just getting better and better. Chris' antics are utterly entertaining and unmissable.
He's the "hardworking" hero of this channel. Hardworking in quotes because, damn, what a job
Congrats with the comeback Chris.
And you’re right about the Z900 - it’s easy to discard it beforehand because it’s very much built to be a roadbike, but Kawasaki got a lot of things right when they designed the chassis.
Top work Chris. Great to see you buzzing for this, and can't wait to follow your progress as the season progresses.
You did the z900 proud mate. Now that Rossi is retiring and you're getting back into it, you now move up to my favorite racer. 🍻
Way to go Chris! Just goes to show you are never out of racing, loved the video and congrats on the wins!
You are far too modest Chris. On a new bike, an unfamiliar track & from the back of the grid. You are all class. Great work mate. 😊

Love watching any motorcycle racing from the pits to the chequered 👍.
AWESOME!!!
Congrats on the win, Chris! Now I wonder what future product will come from this Z900 experiment. Kudos to Kawasaki for putting this on.
Love my Z9. Full exhaust ,air filter, mapped. ZOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
Every time I see Chris on a video I watch it , never met the bloke but feel like he’s my mate , Keep up the good work
Fantastic comeback Chris, made for great viewing 👍🇬🇧🏍

I had a smile the entire time, great job. You’re charismatic and humble, and I love Kawasaki so it doesn’t hurt either.
Congrats Chris! Great video… more, please!
Totally agree - more please!
Absolutely brilliant video lads proper genuine ear to ear grin on Chris’s face
Can’t wait for more
Chris you are the man! On road, off road and on the track you are outstanding, even a bit of wheelie action can't wait for the next instalment 👍
Bloody awesome, Chris! Amazing performances. Looking forward to the future 😀👍
Racers must hate it when Chris turns up lol crazy talent
I took a Z900 for a test ride a couple of years back. Great bike. Settled on a KTM 690R Duke, but if the Z900 had looked like this one…
Shoulda got the Z

Mad results after a 7-year hiatus. The man has skills!
Awesome stuff to Chris, Kawasaki and No Limits. I'll get some penguins in the post for your next run at Anglesey ;)
Well done! What lap times did you manage round there?
200 kg bike beat almost those supersport, what a machine, what a rider 🎉

The Z900 is very very underestimated bike on the market!
I agree.
Great result.
If Kawasaki or MSS made a Z900 with that suspension and kit, people would buy them.
"21" Great race number, go for it 👍

Simply unbeleavable. That much fun with a z900 on the track. How did you improve shock and fork?

What did you put on the Z900 to make it to a race bike, I have a Z900 too I want to make it like that
What class are you racing this in?
Brilliant 👍

Good on ya Chris

You rock. Now go racing on that FTR1200 😎 haven't seen that one evolve.
