Hi Matthew I still have 2 puncture marks on my wrist from when I threw my rucksack over and the weight impaled my wrist on the fence, did show it hurt though, all the best Pat
Hi Paul, have tried a tarp occasionally, must admit I tend to only use my bivvy bag when I know it is not going to rain especially if cooking outside etc. I tend not to use a tarp because when I look at all the gear, poles etc I might as well take a lightweight tent.I use the bivvy bag when dry forecast and sleep with to unzipped, like you say gets a bit damp if closed in. Interesting comments thanks Pat
Plus the idea is to be as low profile and inconspicuous as possible. A tarp (often bright blue, though yes of course you can get military greens) would have been like having a giant flag on the hilltop saying "Heeey look at me up here" Then there's the fact that the slightest amount of wind will turn a tarp into a sail :O

This was one of the first of Pat Dickenson's videos that I watched. It was very worthwhile to re-watch this production, due to the concentration of information contained. In fact, rather than pacing back and forth waiting for Pat's upcoming masterpiece, I have been watching many of Pat's adventures again. Now that I know the outcome of the storyline, so to speak, I can focus on the information and details that Pat has selected to present. I realize that among his skillset are focus, splendid editing and willingness to make the required effort. The world simply does not have enough of this, these days. In this video I had a good laugh over the pub commentary, beginning around the 2:45 minute mark, and the description of the state one may achieve for twenty Quid in a good Chesterfield pub. Marvelous, Pat.
Thanks I really appreciate comments like this makes making the vidio all worth while. I love researching the history of my great city and then actually making a vidio out of it, thanks Pat
Hi i,am about same distance so not far to walk, alot of uphill as you can expect in Sheffield but at least you get a view. thanks for comments and watching Pat
the traffic noise at the beginning ks quite loud but I could still understand you. Sheffiend looks like a very nice city. watching from the other side of the pond
Hi Kaylynn, yes very noisy to start with rush hour traffic on the way home from work. as you can see Sheffield is a very green city with many trees and a lot of Parks and green areas, thanks for your comments and watching Pat
I used to play in that quarry when I was a kid in the early 60's there was a very small pond down the bottom we used to frequent 'fishing' for sticklebacks and frogs with nets on a length of cane and a jar...…didn't need apps and smart phones in those days...
Yeah did the same myself in the ponds on the Porter valley great times and I,am sure we learnt a lot in those early adventurous days, great to hear from someone local to the area, thanks Pat
Hey an American yankee here wondering if you could find historical place of a viking war or settlement near your house and camp there explaining everything you learned about I'm reading benard Cornwell historical fiction books called the last kingdom and my ancestors are from Ireland so really interested in your history there well please consider this idea love all your videos, thanks!
I'm a bit too much of a nervous Nelly to try "urban stealth camping" in this part of the Georgia "C.S.R.A". its the 2 legged predators that worry me more than the four legged verity, though we do have a bear or 2 and Alligators and feral hogs a plenty... not to mention several verities of venomous snakes and spiders.
I visited Georgia a couple of years ago (from the UK) and, although I loved it, it made me realise just what an easy time we have of it in this country. I particularly remember going to Home Depot and the first isle was just full of pest control items - snakes, bears, termites, coyotes, lizards and god knows what else! Not to mention the guns :-O We don't know we're born in this country!
That's a great spot Patrick. I'm not massively familiar with that part of city, I lived in Stockbridge for a year in my teens. I recognise the quarry from my many drives to GoOutdoors from Chesterfield along that road. Some nice cafes around where you live too, The Rude Shipyard being one of my favs :-) Thanks for sharing
Hi Dean, nice to hear from you, you can get some great bargains at Gooutdoors now they price match and knock 10% off, got some new boots recently a bargain. The west of Sheffield heavily populated difficult to find a nice site with a view, many I looked at had a public path running nearby. This site above Homebase was perfect as it was secluded and had a view. thanks for your comments all the best Pat
Interesting video, brought back many memories. As a teenager I hitchhiked every where Yorkshire,Derbyshire ,Wales, Scotland, Lakes including Ireland. Two of us.Our overnights on all our trips in towns and villages was always their local graveyards.Generally good grass.Generally a water tap always a quiet night. Great days and nights. Enjoy your trips on the moors too. Waldo.

Great video Pat, brilliant camera work and editing, oh my, didn't half want a pint when I seen you Suping the first pint and then the cod and chips , about finished me , true, could smell.em and the beer , 😂🤣, really good idea for camping , do like your style of humoure , thanks Pat forward some great , excellent entertainment 👍
Beltin' video Pat. You're a proper authentic character. Found your videos yesterday and now I can't stop watching them. :) They're both interesting and entertaining.
Hi Kieran, great spot this, often drive past and look up there. Have thoughts of a similar camp to this so enjoyable. Hope to keep you entertained through. 2019 Pat
I reckon I might get in to this wild camping didn't realize you start with a pub crawl makes sense really get pissed then don't mind were you sleep 😆😅😄😃😂
Thoroughly enjoyed this film Pat as I have the rest of your videos. I am genuine when I say that you are an inspiration! The effort you go to in making your films is tremendous. I’ve always been an outdoors persons after a scouting start but have ended a little soft in that we moved from camping to caravaning. Well, that was until I stumbled across you! I’ve ordered a small back packing tent and starting to put my kit together for some wild camping. Please keep doing what you’re doing! You’re s star!
Bram Booth Hi Bram like you my love of the outdoors started early then continued with joining the scouts, had some fantastic camps as a teenager. Hope you get out camping soon I ,m sure you will enjoy it, all the best Pat
red rum hi could not agree more, we have some great beers up here, just don t know what they do to it down there apart from pull it flat, all the best Pat
I’m from Woodseats Pat 😂born on Derbyshire Lane. You were looking over my old childhood playground on Tadcaster 🙌🏻 I watched this a few years ago, had to revisit 😊 I played in the quarry before Homebase was built in the 1980’s-90’s building dens so effectively I got there before you (for once) 😁Sarah
Hi Sarah, yes know the area well, read about the quarry while trying to find the history of the Homebase camp, great childhood back then when you could roam about, playing in the woods etc, probably sowing the seeds for the future.. I think 2024 is going to be a great year for future adventures for both of us.....all the best Pat
Haha..i do believe you are getting a sense of humour Patrick....as for Southern Ale in Kent..i get my discounts..Well i am a Pub Signwriter! See you in the Autumn.
Hi steve sounds a interesting job and you must get to visit a few pubs I dare say. I suppose we all get used to the type of ale we were brought up with. a few of my older friends still drink electric John Smiths, can ,t stand the stuff but each to there own, nice to talk to you all the best Pat
Hi Pat..old trade been at it for 38yrs...writing chalkboards more these days...check out my facebook..Steve Chalk(Field). Really enjoy your vids..i try to go camping once a month like you..just for a one nighter. It reminds me of when we were kids in the seventies..we would sleep under hedgerows with our dads old army blankets. Luckily i have more comfortable equipment now..cheers Pat.
Patrick you needed your trekking poles coming out of those pubs, don't want you loosing your footing mate.... By the way good foraging, will have to try that on Kinder next time I'm up. Different but interesting video, atb Bill.
Hi Bill I know what you mean at least I did manage to get out and carry on with the camp was,nt easy though. Looking forward to being up on Kinder next time, all the best Pat
Hi Patrick. Because you film everything yourself I was wondering if you find it annoying that when you film yourself climbing up the rocks of a stream or climbing the fence in this video ,that you then have to come back to get your camera and climb back again. By the way I've now caught up on all your previous videos. Keep up the good work. Very entertaining :-)
NOSMO king Hi yes it is a pain going back for the camera each time especially when you need up of forget to press the record button. At the end of the da y I ,am only happy when my filming is just how I want it . I could not put a video on which is no good got to be as good as possible. Thanks for your interest and comments , all the best Pat
Hi Gary, thanks for watching I know a couple of blokes that do fly Yorkshire Airways , go by the name of Hale and Pace you,ll find them on You tube, thanks again Pat
Thanks Patrick. Appreciate that you appreciated the subtlety of the comment :-) my old stomping ground as a student at sheffield hallam uni so really enjoying your videos. Lived on cliffefield road around the corner from the your wild camp. Old walking / mountain biking and drinking establishments memories. Originally from Hull but live in New Zealand now and off sick for a couple of days having passed my time watching your videos around ringinglow etc. Your Yorkshire whit and dry sense of humour cant beat it. Subscribed.
thanks Gary, was in Hull couple of seeks ago, visiting your old town pubs like the Black Boy, Sailmakers and Lion and key etc, all got some nice real ale, Pat
You reallllly realllly should get a walking stick ! I don't go anywhere without one...Aluminum ski poles work great... light weight ..they help sooooo much with balance... " not falling" I've dozens of custom wood ones I've made over the years too
Yes never liked walking sticks unless exploring a river or culvert. always feel its something extra to carry, thanks anyway, appreciate your comments, thanks Pat
Fantastic videos Patrick, your videos are so interesting and informative you certainly know Sheffield and the surounding areas.....keep up the great videos. You should approach a local T.v company and they could show your videos to all of Sheffields people. A.T.B Adrian
I still love watching your short very entertaining videos love your wild camps. I do the Ridgeway about every 2 years it’s about 87 miles but I do about 120 miles I wild camp along the way mostly woods, I used first few time a Jack Wolfskin stargazer tent lovely little solo tent but now I’ve gone for a lighter more expensive Hilleberg Enan lovely tent comes in at 1.1kg weight. Thank you for the enjoyment you bring. By the way yes I could smell those Fish n chips 🤤all best GARY
Hey Patrick, I notice your about page has no art. You should put a picture of the food you make in the wild camps, that reflects your passion perfectly. Like the Chinese cuisine with the stir fry peppers.
Hi Pat, If thats what you can find when forraging then I'm off right now to find some dinner!! It dreads me to think what the price of a pint is today in the UK. Here in Spain the volume of alcohol isnt regulated as such you usually ask for a caña (normally a small glass - I used to think it was akin to a thimble!!) or a tubo (maybe half a pint). In the Granada area they have a lovely custom of provided a tapa (a small snack) with the drink, in some places you can choose from a menu. If you go and do a wild camp in the New Forest then dont forget to go forraging in Ringwood at Price's Fish and Chip shop (Its my nephews shop!). Good luck from Spain!!
Yes you don,t always get as tasty food as this when foraging, pity I had to eat them in a grave yard, but it was a stealth camp. Price of a pint of hand pulled ale is around £3-50 to 4-00 a pint in Sheffield while lager a bit more, one plus point is we have a great choice now with many pubs having 4 or more hand pulls as it's popularity increases... . thanks Pat
Great vid as usual Pat,I know London is very pricey for a pint,Butlins holiday camps are pricey as well,£4.50 for a pint of pisswater,Farmers blond looks like a good pint, will have to find it somewhere.
Hogan t hi Hogan yes 4.50 at buttons is a rip off when they have a captive audience most likely with kids and you just want a couple of pints at night, hate to think what the soft drink prices are. We are spoilt for different ales in Sheffield, usually all served well, I might as well stay here. Thanks for comments and watching, Pat
Haha brilliant, camping above homebase ! Just goes to show you can have an adventure anywhere. I lived on Valley Rd and my local was the White Lion, 20 years ago before I emigrated to New Zealand. A trip down memory lane. Good work.👍
Hi Matt yes was a great location to camp, a little bit different. White Lion will not have changed, not as busy only seems to open after $-00pm and that was before lockdown. I understand it has not re-opened yet, like a lot of other pubs in last couple of weeks due to easing of lockdown, enjoy New Zealand, all the best Pat
I was going though £80\£100 quid a night at butlins(my mates 50th birthday),was an 80's weekend(no kids) and i dont know the soft drink prices lol,but yeah just as well it was just a 3 day break otherwise i would of ended up as a skint alcoholic(well maybe not as an alcoholic as the beer is so watered down anyway, but defo broke)
Yeah cost a fortune, we often have a day out drinking in York, train fare, breakfast and meal later and beer, not much change out of £100, but a great day out, Pat
Very interesting to watch, thank you Patrick. Glad that you were not disturbed by any locals, especially teenagers. ...There again, in this day and age they'd be all tucked-up by that time with their ipads. ...Would have been very different in the '70s.
Hi Claire had a nice undisturbed night, always aware that somebody could disturb me so I kept a low profile, can,t compete with mobiles etc, I,am glad I was brought up through the seventies, thanks Pat
Hi Pat. I really would not like to try and climb over that fence. There is lots of space above Beauchief Abbey, that looks far more appealing. But very entertaining.
Hi took me eges to find this site everywhere seem near a path or too open. I know round Beauchief abbey so might go and have look. I ,am back on the high moorlands above Sheffield for my next camp, all the best Pat
Below your camp location was an old brick quarry, where my Boss Walter used to have me burning PVC cable to weigh in for scrap copper. I was an apprentice spark. This was in the mid to late nineteen sixties. Nice documentary Pat-take care on your adventures.
Hi Alfred yes I had read about the brickworks, although I never saw it. Always nice to hear local stories like this, I was born in 1955 so just a child when you were a apprentice, nice to talk to you, all the best Pat
First pub was my grans favourite Love your Videos My uncle Ike Wardley early 1900s Worked at Woodside Brick yard Often the men who unloaded the freshly made steaming bricks would shoot Whose shit int opper ex pat
Hi Ann, yes a lot of history when you look around, did,nt realise it was a brickworks untill I read up on the history, great spot to spent the night, thanks Pat
Yes time flies by, every time I go to homebase I look up there, thinking perhaps a different camp I could do with my portaledge ...... all the best Pat 👍
Hi Joakim exactly what I think carry water weighs a ton , so bottles of beer even more, apart from that the hand pulled beer is far superior than bottled or canned, thanks for comments all the best Pat
Hi lee not a bad area up there but always a bit wary when I do leave it, sometimes if I have a camera on a selfie stick always aware someone could just grab it and run of, thanks for comments Pat
Just subbed to your channel very interesting videos Patrick you were brave to camp out in that area in this video you sure that was safe?anyway hats off to you for trying it btw just out of interest what amount of money did you get stinged in Sheffield now for a nice piece of Cod and Chips?just comparing to London prices as regards the pint price you mentioned in Victoria London very steep price as I used to live London but now live on East Coast all the best Mike
Hi Mike, I had rec,d the campsite before and new I was safe, nice area really so did not expect any problems. Fish and Chips round here vary,s a bit but fish is about £4 and £1 for chips is probably average but if you pick a good un then its a tasty and filling meal. When you buy for a family of 4 and few extras, then that's £25 gone like that, all the best Pat
Well done pat really good video I have another channel urban lad “Yorkshire “ I do explorering abandoned places I have camped out at places because after the help I got from you channel. Thanks
Ha ha.. I paid £6.75 for a pint of Brew dog IPA in Carnaby Street London... rip off.. although I live down south near Gatwick Normal pints are around £4.75. Great vid. Lee
Hi Lee, £6-75 is pushing it a bit especially if you were buying a round. £4-75 is not bad I payed that in York couple of weeks ago and I bet its that price in Sheffield town centre , thanks for comments and watching Pat
Always enjoy your vids Pat, interesting, and you make a great deal of effort to get the shot, not sure I would of filmed going over the fence then having to go back to get your camera and tripod and climb it again. :-0 cheers mate. Lee
The issue I would have with urban camping is local idiots. What happens if it rains during the night in a bivvy bag? Can I also ask about going to the loo. with wild camping I assume the only method if digging a hole?
Hi Andy yes I was bothered about local idiots but picked a secluded spot in nice area, I pick my night when I use a bivvy bag, I only use it if no rain is forecast. On this camp I was only a mile from home, there would of been toilets in Homebase etc. Normal wildcamping , like you say just dig a hole, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick Han a look at your urban camp site found it went with my partner we did not climb over fence but found your site must admit what a view on way back called at Abbydale brewary for a mini keg of black lurcher thanks for your info cheers bob
wow something a bit different Pat..your'e braver than me i wouldn't have wanted to kip so close to that drop.had a bit of a stagger on there after a "few" pints lol..i must learn how to be able to forage for fish & chips i could almost smell those...nice one pat,not something i'd do but enjoyed watching.tfs & atb..Andy.
Hi Andy yep something a bit different, bivvying at Alport Tower gave me the idea of somewhere high up and had been planning a urban trip for a while , just a matter of finding the right location, and those fish and chips were beautiful, all the best Pat
great vid pat ,get thee sen upto nagshead@ loxley all farmers beers are just £2 apint and tha dont need a camra card.some good camping spots too just down road at bradfield.
When we were kids there were newts in a pond where Homebase is. Good watch Patrick, my legs went a bit wobbly when you were close to the edge. The council will probably be out now to chop down that tree!
Hi i can ,t remember what was there, read about the brickworks which I guessed must of closed around the 50,s, pretty safe on the edge sometimes looks worst that it is, thanks for comments and watching Pat
Hi Malcom yes know both thoses areas, but i don,t think I would feel safe wild camping there even though there are great views as you say, thanks for comments Pat
Fish and chips looked lovely, shame you couldn't find a mushy pea plant to go along with them.
Hi yes when your hungry food outdoors taste so nice, no cooking and no washing up, thanks for comments and watching Pat
What a top bloke! More people like Pat in the world be a far nicer place. Keep the vidz comin!
Thanks for kind comments much appreciated made my day thanks again Pat
And in local news: Sheffield man impales himself on fence, following a lengthy pub crawl and a final feast of fish & chips.
Brilliant video, Patrick you deserve your own telly show, really good presenting style.
Hi and thanks for those kind comments, much appreciated hope to be out camping in October away from the city next time, all the best Pat
Patrick Dickinson any places you know off to wild camp in skegness ?
I find this with a lot of you tubers. Then put on the tv and you’ve got the most obnoxious cold egotistical twats being paid a fortune. Don’t know what these tv executives are thinking of
Distraught Sheffield man was talked off of a cliff when authorities agreed to give him 2 sausage rolls and 4 pints of bitters.
Hi abe I would have the beer not sure about the sausage rolls though, like the comments, thanks Pat
The north face of the Homebase, epic stuff. Chips and ale too.
😀😀
I prefer the new lights as you can see the stars and the moon better.
Yes agree with you there seemed to be less light pollution with the new LED lighting, thanks Pat
Great video Patrick, very enjoyable. I was half expecting you to get legless and sleep in the gutter.
British Coastline Hi yes it could of gone that way if I had not got out them pub, still a great adventure, thanks for watching and comments Pat

Bullshit. Lies and deceit I say.

I’m a Sheffield lad through and through it’s a shit hole it is, but it’s the best shit hole on earth
I've seen a few urban wild campers in Sheffield. Both were asking for money and smelled like shit though
Hi i may of asked you for money or a pint but not the other thanks Pat

I know what i'm doing this weekend. A nice spot of wild camping :-)
I suppose the neighbours the other side of the fence would think you were homeless and bring you a pot of tea.
that would of been very nice of them, hopefully they did not see me, thanks Pat
Always feel good after watching Pat's videos, a true inspiration. If I lived in your part of the world I would have a pint with you!

The effort you go to in making your films is tremendous.
I’ve always been an outdoors persons after a scouting start but have ended a little soft in that we moved from camping to caravaning.
Well, that was until
I stumbled across you!
Now this is the best kind of wild camping. Couple of beers before hand 👍
Crap beer down south, southern softies. Great vid!
red rum hi could not agree more, we have some great beers up here, just don t know what they do to it down there apart from pull it flat, all the best Pat
I’m from Woodseats Pat 😂born on Derbyshire Lane. You were looking over my old childhood playground on Tadcaster 🙌🏻 I watched this a few years ago, had to revisit 😊
I played in the quarry before Homebase was built in the 1980’s-90’s building dens so effectively I got there before you (for once) 😁Sarah
The part when you kept saying DEFINITELY A URBAN CAMPING VIDEO....😂😂😂😂
Yes great camp and very urban, some many places you could camp in a city, thanks Pat
4:47- Those eyes! Are you sure you had a 'couple'. haha
DEUS VULT when I said a couple that could be anywhere between 2 and 4 honest, I think my eyes are showing signs of age, all the best Pat
I go there with my terrier. The place is crawling with Rats. Good Luck. Brush your teeth or the rats will chew your lips during the night.
Jeez, that's just a bit close for comfort, take care
Totally 100% safe, and nice beer as well, all the best Pat
Your wild camp foraging skills are astounding, Patrick. All I ever found were a few old mushrooms. Fish and chips WITH salt and vinegar. WOW!,
Surprising what you can come across in the wilds of Sheffield, thanks Pat
I've driven past there too many times to count being an S2 lad, never thought of a wildcamp up there though. You're nuts. Love it. :D
twighiker Hi yes a great spot once you've got over the fence, took ages to find anywhere secluded and hidden, but with a view, thanks for watching Pat
Looking forward to being up on Kinder next time, all the best Pat
fish & chips with salt & vinager .....in a grave yard........BRILLIANT !!
They were lovely, best camping food out there, thanks Pat
09:45 - Guffaw! Love this guy..
Yeah was a bit more lighthearted this video, but still a bit of a adventure, all the best Pat
Good stuff Pat. Interesting Entertaining nicely balance with humor and precarious places.
Great location, certainly a bit different love to try another one of these next year, thanks Pat
Great video. Do you fly Yorkshire Airways?
" not falling"
I've dozens of custom wood ones I've made over the years too
Yes never liked walking sticks unless exploring a river or culvert. always feel its something extra to carry, thanks anyway, appreciate your comments, thanks Pat
Urban stealth camping! Brilliant!! 👍🏼
Thanks Andrew, fantastic location, and fantastic, fish and chips, thanks Pat
Fantastic videos Patrick, your videos are so interesting and informative you certainly know Sheffield and the surounding areas.....keep up the great videos. You should approach a local T.v company and they could show your videos to all of Sheffields people.
A.T.B
Adrian
Thanks Adrian, I love Sheffield and it's adjoining hills in Derbyshire, love making the videos, all the best Pat
Thanks Gary for the comments, the Ridgeway is one LDFP I would love to do, maybe one day, thanks Pat
Hey Patrick, I notice your about page has no art. You should put a picture of the food you make in the wild camps, that reflects your passion perfectly. Like the Chinese cuisine with the stir fry peppers.
I, ll have to look into this page art, not too knowledgable about all these things so thanks for the info, Pat
Price of a pint of hand pulled ale is around £3-50 to 4-00 a pint in Sheffield while lager a bit more, one plus point is we have a great choice now with many pubs having 4 or more hand pulls as it's popularity increases...
. thanks Pat
Watching you walk near the edge of that cliff made me nervous. That fish n chips made me hungry.
Thanks for sharing Pat.
A great location felt very safe and secure..... all the best Pat
Can't believe I've only just watched this video.......and so close to Woodseats where I work. :)
Yes I drive through Woodseats often, always look up to where I camped, thanks Pat
My cousin fell off the edge up there when he was younger. He was lucky he got caught on a ledge halfway down and 'only' broke his leg.
Yes it is quite a drop, need a saftey like to beup there.
Hope your cousin recovery Ok,thanks Pat
Very interesting to watch, thank you Patrick. Glad that you were not disturbed by any locals, especially teenagers. ...There again, in this day and age they'd be all tucked-up by that time with their ipads. ...Would have been very different in the '70s.
Hi Claire had a nice undisturbed night, always aware that somebody could disturb me so I kept a low profile, can,t compete with mobiles etc, I,am glad I was brought up through the seventies, thanks Pat
I really enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing. Regards from México.
Thanks for watching!....and great to hear from Mexico.....thanks Pat
Wild camp + chips 💣💥 yes my man !
Patrick, you sir are an absolute legend! Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing 👍
Loved making this video Benny..... all the best Pat 👍
First pub was my grans favourite
Love your Videos My uncle Ike Wardley early 1900s Worked at Woodside Brick yard Often the men who unloaded the freshly made steaming bricks would shoot Whose shit int opper ex pat
Hi Ann, yes a lot of history when you look around, did,nt realise it was a brickworks untill I read up on the history, great spot to spent the night, thanks Pat
imagine @ 10:15 .. the corpses strarted rising from the graves singing " cos this is ....cod aaaaaand.........cod and chips.."
I,d of been running I think, thanks Pat
finally got to view every video.awesome sir.
love the pub crawl & homebase camp. ime inspired...
Glad you like them!...they were two of my favourites, both very enjoyable to make and film ......thanks Pat
I prefer your later videos of comfortable camping and delicious eating/drinking. Just my opinion
I like to vary the content, keeps me interested, and throws up new challenges.... thanks Pat
God ,Pat can’t believe this is 5 yr ago , I was working near there at the time ,and fancied having a go ! 👍🏻👍🏻🍺🍺🍺
Yes time flies by, every time I go to homebase I look up there, thinking perhaps a different camp I could do with my portaledge ...... all the best Pat 👍
Nothing wrong with a couple of beers before wildcamp, To bad they're to heavy to carry on a hike though. 😂
Hi Joakim exactly what I think carry water weighs a ton , so bottles of beer even more, apart from that the hand pulled beer is far superior than bottled or canned, thanks for comments all the best Pat
I also think that you have 'alcoholic constipation'. I.E. 'can't pass a pub!' Cheers'n'beers mate.
Yes definitely got that, how can anyone walk past a lovely inviting pub, thanks Pat
I'm surprised no one nicked your camera when you turned your back lol .... Xpeacex
When you buy for a family of 4 and few extras, then that's £25 gone like that, all the best Pat
look on the bright side, its downhill coming back
Excellent video but regret I have to deduct 1 point for eating fish and chips with a plastic fork must be a Yorkshire perversion.
We do have the wooden ones, but I thought I would treat myself to a posh plastic one, thanks Pat
I went to a couple of pubs in Wales and ended up on top of a mountain! Luckily I had remembered my tent!
It is easy to forget something, believe me I,ve done it, not my tent though, Thanks Pat
Well done pat really good video I have another channel urban lad “Yorkshire “ I do explorering abandoned places I have camped out at places because after the help I got from you channel. Thanks
Thanks Marcus I,ll have a look and thanks for looking at my videos, all the best Pat
Lee
Hi Matt, was that your house next door to the pub, LoL, Another great video. keep them coming.
Hi David, if so I would never be out the pub, I could see my house from where I bivvyed though, all the best Pat
Just brilliant would never of thought of urban camping
One of the exciting types of camping, your sences are very alert, all the night.....thanks Pat
Hi Patrick Han a look at your urban camp site found it went with my partner we did not climb over fence but found your site must admit what a view on way back called at Abbydale brewary for a mini keg of black lurcher thanks for your info cheers bob
Hi Robert, yes great location, and some great views, glad the fence was there, somewhere to anchor myself to, thanks Pat
That's hobo glamping
Jeeze, spent 30 quid for 8pts....thought that was cheap..........
Price does vary across city, down town a small bottle of lager can be £5, but that,s in the trendy town pubs, would,nt get me in there, thanks Pat
wow something a bit different Pat..your'e braver than me i wouldn't have wanted to kip so close to that drop.had a bit of a stagger on there after a "few" pints lol..i must learn how to be able to forage for fish & chips i could almost smell those...nice one pat,not something i'd do but enjoyed watching.tfs & atb..Andy.
Hi Andy yep something a bit different, bivvying at Alport Tower gave me the idea of somewhere high up and had been planning a urban trip for a while , just a matter of finding the right location, and those fish and chips were beautiful, all the best Pat
keep trucking patrick, thats why wages in london are higher, if wages were less, they would have to charge less, or find another business
WOLFROY47 Yeah I can see that, higher wages to attract people and hence higher cost of living, thanks Pat
good fun! nice to stop at some pubs along the way. and i hear Television’s song “Marquee Moon” at 5:18
Yes may of been in the background in the White Lion, great locations, both the pubs and the camp site.....all the best Pat
I used to live on mreesbrook avenue and my childhood was playing on the quarry used to play army and alsorts
Sounds a wonderful childhood Clare.....thanks Pat
As I write 58 thumbs down ! Strange people ! Great vid.
Yes always get them Paul, some sad people out there, mind you they still count as a view.... thanks Pat
great vid pat ,get thee sen upto nagshead@ loxley all farmers beers are just £2 apint and tha dont need a camra card.some good camping spots too just down road at bradfield.
Hi I know that pub just below Damflask, £2-00 a pint a good price will have to call in if my wife will drive!!, thanks for comments Pat
that fish and chips how dare you scoff that in front of us that was an interesting camp site patrick and glad you were safe cheers trev and chris
Hi those fish and chips were beautiful. Starting to feel hungry now. Great site with a view, all the best Pat
Fish & chips in graveyard, not wrong with that I've spent many hour working them
Very peaceful places Digger, and a great place to enjoy my fish and chips hidden away, thanks Pat
John Smith's and Magnet bitters... £2.20p George in Eckington.
Yes I have,my drunk John Smith's since the ,70s and do not want to, haha, Pst
Urban trespass in the city of Sheffield and your encouraging people to do it?
What are you doing here mate? I bet you vote Conservative.
Nice one have you thought of camping in norfolk park or cholera gardens fab views across the city
Hi Malcom yes know both thoses areas, but i don,t think I would feel safe wild camping there even though there are great views as you say, thanks for comments Pat
At 7.10 graves park bottom entrance at woodseats would be a nice spot. Could have had a few beers at the Big Tree boozer.
Could've had a few beers with the kids that hang out in the bottom park before going to the tree. Haha. Only if he like cider anyway.
