If you go 30 days you have nailed it. Shitty phase go's after a month. Y out just get odd crave to smoke now n the. But the urge go's after about a minute. Always praise yourself for quitting and never go back. I once quit for three years and went back biggest mistake of my life took me ages to quit again.

Jan 25th 2015 was my first day without tobacco after 40 freakin' years! in 21 days I'll have two years. YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND! Address each trigger or craving. Think about and talk about each one. Count each hour, day, week and month. Keep your mind occupied. You can do it!!!

I stopped smoking more than one year ago. That was after 52 years and 40 pd over the last 15 years or so. However, it doesn't bother me that others smoke. I am often in the company of friends and relatives who smoke. Only thing is that I really can't take it now if lots of people are smoking at a party. I get a headache. I am of the view that if you want to stop you'll find a way. There's no point preaching.
Anyway, well done for stopping, and staying stopped.

I think each one of us has his own reason for quitting smoking lol.. those damn cigs were messing up my teeth, i got tired so i quit.. that reason might be funny but it's the truth.. there is nothing positive at all coming out from smoking, really, there is none.. i wish i knew it 15 years ago when i light my first cig to brag in front of girls..

This addiction, doesn’t need input from others, as it’s passed off.
YOU make the decision to quit, if you want to.. you will. You’ll fail, having a smoke here and then, that’s not failure! Reduction, and then complete elimination.
Hate it or love it, i vape to transition... I want to be COMPLETELY nicotine free.
I’ve smoked 13 years, I KNOW I’m already feeling better after 2 days! I can take a HUGE breath!
Thank you for the video! You’ve brought up EVERYTHING that keeps us going, it WORKS! :) Miss my hair, nails, no heartburn, fresh hair, skin and clothes.
I’ll recommend your video to others!!

There are several factors in giving up smoking including eg motivation and support from peers.
One place I discovered that successfully combines these is the Quit Smoking Crusher (see the website QuitSmokingCrusher.com) without a doubt the most useful method i've heard of.
Check out all the website QuitSmokingCrusher.com and awesome reviews.

I smoked for 10 years and quit 8 years ago. I totally agree about how disgusting it seems to me now. Any time I smell it I have to get away. It is just so vile! I could never be with a smoker! I dated a non smoker too when I was one and I cannot imagine how he put up with it.

      Serclf s
Oky doky. Still doesn't change the fact that smoking is disgusting. It smells like death and causes illness and death. I used to do it, yes. When I did I was a worse human being, for forcing others to smell it and inhale my second hand smoke. I feel that as a non-smoker I am a slightly improved person. I would not want to be friends with my old self, and I do not want to be involved with anyone who does something so harmful, to themselves and to those around them. I do not care if you think I am a shit human being for that. At least I get to breathe clean air and do not subject my children to those kind of poisons.

Hidemi Ine Oh yes. I was addicted. I had tried to quit half heartedly a few times in the year prior to my success, but always failed because I just could not imagine life without those "comforting" cigarettes.
My rate of smoking changed depending on what was going on in my life, but it was often about a half pack a day, sometimes a full pack.
During the last year or so of smoking I really just started getting disgusted with the physical affects. I started experiencing some kind of really terrible chest pain sometimes when I smoked. The first few times I thought it was a heart attack. It was like a squeezing pressure in my chest, and it only happened when I smoked. Not every time I smoked, but every time it did happen, I was smoking. Also I was getting tired of my lungs feeling like they were full of gunk all the time, especially in the morning when I would wake up wheezing, practically every day. I started to imagine what life would be like with clear lungs, and therefor better oxygen absorption, and therefor, more energy.
I finally had a strong desire to quite for something like 6 months before I really succeeded. What finally did it for me was Christmas break from my first year of college. I lived in an out of the way house out in the woods up a mountain. There was a big snow storm that had me stranded there for about three days. During the first day, I ran out of cigarettes. I did have some weed on me though, and some Dutchie cigars that I used to roll the weed. So, for a couple of days, if I wanted a smoke, I would take a few puffs off of a blunt. Not only did it give me the experience of smoking a cigarette like object, but I also got a small dose if nicotine from the cigar papar. Finally once the roads were clear, I had the option of going out to buy cigarettes, but I decided that since the blunts have gotten me this far, I may as well go a little farther. And I just stayed in for about a full week and a half. Occasionally puffing a blunt to curb my desire for a cigarette. Each day I did it less, till finally one day, I realized that I had not smoked anything at all, and had not even really thought about it.
A short time later I was at work and a coworker who I occasionally went out for smoke breaks with was outside smoking, while I was doing work outside. I smelled his cigarette and thought it smelled really disgusting. I realized that I had no desire for it. Still out of curiosity, I wanted to see how I would feel about smoking and I asked him for a puff. I took one puff and it was just so nasty, I could have thrown up. I gave it back to him and said "well, I guess I am done with that shit."
Never touched it again. Never ever will.
And no. I am not a regular stoner either. I only smoked it that much during that weeks and half because I was using it as a crutch to get over cigarettes. The few times a year I do indulge in weed these days I vaporize it. No more blunts.

***** I kind of see a pattern in the comments here, April. Just a quick reminder. You smoked for a decade but because you quit, you seem kind of cocky. It isn't you, personally, that's cocky, it's your ego. Often newly quit smokers go one or two ways. Your way, "Look at me! Look at me!" or they put the cigarettes down and they move on. Non-smokers like myself would tell you that you shouldn't have smoked cigarettes at all. Life isn't fair, and in that we find nobody will ever care you quit smoking cigarettes as much as you. It's almost like asking for a standing ovation from a room full of just... you. That's great you quit smoking! Bravo! That's wonderful! Now pay attention to your ego a bit more. Cigarettes are disgusting, true, but I'd leave that kind of rant to someone who was always a non-smoker. "I quit smoking after a decade. Cigarettes are this... that... this...etc." coming from someone who smoked for so long sounds kind of weird to someone like me who has never smoked. Good luck.

Personally as a person that been a smoker and a non smoker went without one for 17 years. Like you I declared I never smoke again. Well lost my dad and then my mum sequentially in under 6 months. Watching their lives being stolen by cancer. The stress of it all I busted. On process now of getting off then again now. However I think you lost touch with smokers reality. I bet when you smoked you would been annoyed by a reformed smoker. Nothing worse than a reform smoker shoving it down someone neck you love. It only drives a wedge between your mateship as there is only one way a person quits inside them makes the decision they can do it. Until that point your just nagging not being helpful. Only person who can decide their ready to quit is inside the persons heart. I am glad you have done two years you deserve to give yourself kudos for that. And as for your wrinkles you need to realise see your beautiful. Please stop looking for flaws in your appeara

To all those wanting to quit smoking, buy the book "Allen Carr's Easy Way To Quit Smoking." I had recently quit 5 days before buying the book and read it within 2 days, but started up again, because I had quit for the wrong reasons and I was in the wrong mindset. Plus I still had my rolling machine with pipe tobacco and tubes sitting on my table for the almost 7 days I didn't smoke. I spent over $40 on the machine and didn't want to throw away such an investment to save money smoking. That was one of the downfalls as to why I lit up, because I hadn't gotten rid of it. Today, I gave that machine away with the half pack of pipe tobacco and tubes and drove around for around an hour searching for the last pack I'll ever smoke, because I knew that no other brand would do except for that one "special brand" that I always "loved" but wouldn't regularly buy because it's $8-$9 a pack. This was a necessary step in order for me quit. I've read half way through the book tonight with the right mindset and saving the other half for tomorrow 10-1-19, because that's my quit day. I've got 15 cigarettes left of the pack and it is super hard to smoke them from how disgusting they are now; I don't think I'll be able to go through the rest of the pack tomorrow by noon, but I'm gonna smoke as many as I can until then and just give them away if there's still any left. But in saying all this, the point I'm getting at is I'm very excited to be a nonsmoker and enjoy life and you can too. Get your hands on this book, because it'll open your eyes and you'll be just as excited as I am in no longer having to be a smoker. "Allen Carr's Easy Way To Quit Smoking." Go buy a copy and rid yourself of the enslavement many want to be out of, just as I am already and you'll understand what I mean :]

I must have tried to stop over 50 times in 8 years smoking and I learn
    Something new each time
    I
Research and today what im focused on is why I do it. What am
I tying to hide feelings anxiety wise. I smoke because I'm anxious and worrisome when I don't even want to be. I need to face the music of recovery and deal directly with my
Feelings and share them as I've been learning to share my feelings as for most
    Of
    My life I kept them
    To
    Myself expecting
Others to see me as a hero
    Who
Is always bubbly subconsciously of course. I hate the lethargy in the morning and daytime and want
    To be free. I
    Didn't smoke when pregnant
I went on patches and now
    He is
    One i
    Don't want
    Him to
Understand what mommy n daddy does but this
    Is about me accepting
It's ok to feel happier and healthier. Who's
With me!!! Don't ask why my phone has started sentences randomly lol all the best all who
    Are stopping Tabacco and nicotine!

I became horribly depressed in my late teens and through my early, mid, and even somewhat into my late 20's and early 30's. I use to be a health nut and really into healthy eating/exercising and hated cigarettes, but the fact that cigarettes kill people is kind of what sold me on them. These days I'm 80lbs over weight, I smoke and drink heavily all in the goal to hasten my demise. Yesterday I got drunk, smoked half a pack of menthol cigarettes with a menthol ball, and ate 7/8's of a large Little Caesars pizza for my "dinner" (mom had 1 slice). I think it was realizing that I will never, under any circumstances, ever, find a significant other, that made me start smoking, at least in a way.

You really are an attractive woman and it's good that you quit smoking. I see so many young attractive women who smoke who don't realize just how much smoking ruins their skin. Women with soft and beautiful skin really turns men on, while smoking does not. My sister quit smoking when she got pregnant because she could not tolerate the awful smell.

Please note after the successful quit......... RELAPSE IS USUALLY PUNISHED BY DEATH OR TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS. (Since after the successful quit our mind become complacent and we forget the monumental efforts and achievements we had in quit process, We forget the insurmountable difficulties we faced in quitting process and we start thinking that it is quite easy to quit . and this dangerous thought causes the replaces) .
After the relapse , when we again try to quit , it is found extremely difficult and till the time we muster all strength to quit , its already too late.
So to prevent from relapse, Think one day at a time.

acid reflux stops when you stop smoking! And It depends how long youve smoked and how old you are! If you smoked under 5 years and stop before your turn 30 then the skin can recover and doesnt really show signs. Especially if you you speed up the recovery by collagen, anti oxidant suplements , good kinc care, chemiecal peelings and my favourite derma needling which boost collagen production tremendously......lab results conformed that derma needling produced more collagen in the skin then laser or any other skin treatment. ps: you can derma needle/roll at home

i have smoked for 7 years and i quit 2 months ago but really for me its getting harder i just want to smoke again for some reason like i actually started smoking at a really young age since i was 10 years old and i stopped when i moved to united states at the age of 17 2 months ago and the problem is that here its harder than where i used to live to buy tobacco if you are under 18 but still i can buy it but after 4 months i'm gonna be 18 and i'm thinking of going back to smoking again because i just feel bored all time and i used to smoke in good and bad times so now i feel like i can't do nothing like most things that was good in my life like moments i was a smoker but really i don't want to get back to smoking but at the same time something inside me tells me that i'm gonna smoke again when i'm 18 but really i don't want to do that...

I wanna quit so bad so I can become a marathon runner and have a healthy pregnancy. I quit for 1 year after about 6 months I was running 4 miles a day! then I started again about 14 months ago haven't really been able to quit still it's causing me health problems too like I was told I have high iron and high hemoglobin which is basically having thick blood which worries me and I have arrhythmias from smoking too much and caffeine. I wanna quit so bad it's so hard especially worrying about my health makes me anxious when I'm anxious I smoke but then I get depressed thinking about how I used to be a marathon runner and my partner I've been living with for a year wants kids really bad I'm only 21 so I think I'll heal up fast
