Really enjoyed this video as a durablack X-Pro 3 owner myself. I enjoyed your images as well! Definitely agree about the sub-monitor, it's quite annoying that it only works in single point mode. I use it in the fully-zoomed out settings 100% of the time anyways, so it's really a shame it doesn't work on the other modes. But like you, I love it for all the same reasons.

Great video mate, I hope you had a great time with your olds whilst producing this content.
I am an XT2 shooter but looking to downscale & shoot at a more minimalist approach as I am finding the XT series is almost as heavy as Full Frame with hefty Fujinon Glass zooms attached (NOT that anything is too wrong with that as Fuji weight equals high quality)
The XT series has solved the problem of being a little less bored in the digital space with a slowed down process via it's mechanical dials, it's the main reason I jumped ship from a Canon EOS system of close to 20 years (way too many menus and sub menus via their complex buttons process)
Coming ACROS to FujiFILM has brought me back to my 'happy' place in Photography as it's FILM based fundamentals via both the camera design and excitedly it's Film simulations transports me directly back to my days as a lab rat (Pro Lab printer & dip n dunk film processor)
I too shoot 120mm Film on a Mamiya 645 ProTL to really slow down my thought process yet it is VERY bulky hence why I tend to just shoot landscape work with a tripod & spring cable release (I suspect you know that 'feeling' all to well enough to relate as to why I do)
It's a real shame young people getting into Photography now days skip this traditional process and head directly to a digital format.
Where I am heading with this is I LOVE the Xpro Line and is why I am eagerly awaiting IF Fujifilm are releasing an Xpro 4 and if so if it will be much different in design on the outer shell YET obviously come with upgraded internals such as 40 Megapixel and better EVF, as for AF system I tend to have shot most my subjects using Peak via EVF in manual mode on both XT1 & 2 to again slow down my thought process in compersition, etc. It wouldn't hurt though to have an improved AF for fast moving subjects when required. Anyway having an Xpro 3 or 4 should it come out is where I am now heading rather than upgrading to a XT5 or XH2 only due to having a smaller kit when travelling or street work. I LOVE the XH2 for attaching larger zooms & teles (such as my 100-400) purely for the ergonomics in particular when shooting Weddings / Portraits but those days are getting much closer to being left behind at my spritely age of 47, I just cannot convert to the FULL digital space of Post production. Another reason why I love Fujifilm is no need for much Post work if at all when Fuji's Jpegs are so good dam good! One doesn't need to spend countless hours in Post if wishing to shoot in raw.
Again as you'll appreciate coming from shooting film getting it right 'in camera' there is no need for over compensating in Post.
Anyway just some thoughts I'd share on my love of the Fujifilm eco system.

Hi David, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and practises. Glad that you enjoy Fuji system. Your next upgrades sound exciting, especially XH2 with its bigger grip. Wish you the best! And thanks a lot for watching and taking the time to comment. Have a great day 😊

I bought mine (Used) 5 months ago and I enjoy using it however I have stopped folding out the screen now (or only to 90 degrees if I have to) since becoming aware of the issue with the weak connection ribbon btn camera and screen 🤦‍♂️
I haven’t had a problem with the screen ( although I have registered the camera with Fuji in case I need to send it for repair) but
I did encounter the (other) issue with the shutter release becoming sticky (will it fire once, twice or not at all?) however, I ‘Scienced the shit out of that problem’ and the shutter release is now ‘good as new’.

    • @SathyaPeacock
      @SathyaPeacock  7 месяцев назад

Hi Colin, Didn’t realise there was a sticky shutter button issue. Glad you were able to fix. Are you willing to share how you did it? So if someone else watching this has a similar issue they can fix it too :) thanks in advance!
And thank you so much for watching and commenting :)

    • @colinthecameraguy

@@SathyaPeacock Alas there appears to be an issue with the shutter release button sticking (according to several Threads)
Fujifilm’s solution is to replace the entire Top Plate, mine was less expensive:
Firstly I tried a few squirts of Servisol Super 10 (electrical switch cleaner) which is what every Ricoh GR user should own a can of!
I allowed it to dry but now the switch was depressed and not moving at all so I concluded that a Dry Lubricant was required:
So I used small amounts of Graphite Powder (courtesy of a pencil and a modelling knife to shave the exposed ‘lead’ onto the top of the shutter button). I used a tiny paint brush to coax the powder to the edges of the button and then screwed in one of the Red/Black accessory buttons and used this to push n pull the shutter release (brush more graphite in place) and generally agitate the button by tapping sides of the plastic button with my finger nail.
10 minutes later I have a freely moving shutter release and I can clearly feel the two stages (half press and full press) of operation.
That was about 6 weeks ago and it has been used for at least four full days of street photography since then and still works like new.
I cannot say if the initial cleaning (with switch spray) was integral to the operation (perhaps if there was some kind of lubricant from the factory which had deteriorated ? Then it might have been a key step!
