Its funny I made my first strudel a couple of weeks ago at 38. My family goes all the way back to Sicily in 1900 came to America all the food was made right, but I didn't get a chance to know them that well and understand how to cook from the old country, before we moved away for daddy's work when I was younger. So I had to learn it by school and experience and what I felt in my heart was the right way to cook. But today I saw this video and made my strudel almost like yours. I thought it was amusing and I needed to share it with you. I loved watching your shows the kid thank you sharing your kitchen with us and say hi to Joe

And the Oscar goeesssss to the Grandmaaaa :)))) How tasty and yummy strudel and how lovely and pretty lady she is.. I've always dreamed of a grandma like that.. But my grandma had passed away before i was born.. My God give health, peace and happiness to your lovely grandma..

And in Southeastern France where Armagnac comes from, they stretch the dough across a table and then _blowdry_ the dough till it's dry then layer big shards of the dough with melted butter, rusk and apple and then bake it. It's sublime but then _all_ well-made strudel is manna!
