I bought a house that has the same kitchen tile. The tile is in good shape so I dont want rip it out but it needs an update. I was looking at the biscuit color as well. Thank you so much for sharing. It gives me a great visual of how it will look
I bought this same product in the same color, and my floor grout is just as dark, so this was very helpful to watch before I start this tedious project!
Apply dots of this product every 3-4", run the grout line with your finger, allow to drive 3-4 hours, scrape excess with razor blade, sweep the mess, final scrub with a damp scouring pad with sponge backing. I just completed over 2,000 sqft job and this was the most efficient method.
Use a very slightly damp rag to take off the excess paint. Works 10x better then water bottle for anyone who’s about to try this. Great Job! Takes lot of trial and error but worth it, let’s see if it lasts!
You know it's easier if you wipe as you go , you will have to do multiple coats but you wont have to spend hours trying to take off the excess , & because this is sort of what i do for work so i know you're looking close to 5-10 years of life on this sealer. Also just a bit of advice, the color seal will stick better to the grout if it's cleaned and dried prior to applying product.
I tried both ways, for me it was 10x easier to let it dry for 1-2 hours on the tiles, then mist lightly with a spray bottle, then wait 2 min, then wipe excess with regular sponge. The excess peeled right off with near zero effort. I imagine it was so easy because my tiles were shiny glazed ceramic. When I tried wiping the excess while wet as I went, I found I was accidentally removing too much from the grout line.
I’m so grateful for this video. I know it’s been a while since you posted this but are you still liking the results? Turns out you and I have the same tile and even the same color grout refresh. Btw I love your kitchen. Your cabinets are gorgeous!!! Love that color!
First of all I didn't think the lady was wiping the grout lines very carefully BUT I have to say that the finished result is good. Even with the volume turned fully up I HAD to have subtitles on.
carlos cavazos I don’t think so.. if you’re trying to “fill” grout lines this isn’t the product you want to use..my grout was dirty and this product brought the color back to life. Hope that helps!
Margaret Frook My floors still look great and it’s been a year! I actually mop my floors by pouring boiling water on the floor and a little bit of Clorox and they still look the same as day 1.
Lily'sPad thanks for the follow up. My tile looks almost like yours - with the dark grout. And I just bought this product to refresh the grout but I think I’m going to take it back and get the lighter color. Thanks for the inspiration!
And you didn't have to use any haze remover or anything like that to get the white chalkyness out of the tiles? I have these 60 year old tiles in my bathroom and I'm scared to stain them with the Mapei grout...
Did you apply any grout sealer on top of the :"Refresh"? Glad to hear that you are still happy with the project results after a year. Hope mine will last as long.

Hi! How big was the room and how much of the paint did you use? I want to paint almost all of my 2,000sqft apt. Thanks!
10 x 10 and I only used 1 bottle
How did it hold up after 3 years? I'm looking to try this brand
Mine still looks great!
@@lilyspad9335 great to know! Thank you. I think I'll be switching to Mapei then

I bought the biscuit too but it's like white and I can see in your video that it's somewhat white. Did the color match your expectation? Thank you
Yes, it did match expectations. I still love my floors, they are holding up well.
How has it held up
Still looks great! I usually pour boiling hot water on my floor to mop and it doesn’t bother the grout at all!
And you didn't have to use any haze remover or anything like that to get the white chalkyness out of the tiles? I have these 60 year old tiles in my bathroom and I'm scared to stain them with the Mapei grout...
The excess removed completely off of the tiles without any no residue.
Thanks for posting! I just bought this product. Did that one bottle take care of that whole area?
Yes I had some leftover.
How has the color been holding up?
DON LUNA It’s been a year now and the floor still looks great!

Kaily Guerra Yes...a year later and they still look amazing!
Did you prep your floor before?
Janet R I just made sure to clean the grout and floor really well. The next day I applied the product.
