Your method: toothbrush + the rough side of the sponge - game changer! I did my bathroom a year ago, using a paint brush and various tools to scrape it off. It took SO long, I quit before I finished the adjoining closet. Today I redid the bathroom AND closet and not only was it so much faster, easier, it looks so much better. THANK YOU!
BTW, the reason I redid the bathroom section is because when I did it last time, the method I used to remove the excess from the tile pulled some off from the grout. It was very uneven. When I saw how well this method worked in the closet, I decided to redo the bathroom. It looks amazing. It is a lower traffic area and I'm sure I'll need to touch up over time. But in general, I agree - this product is totally worth it!@@MichaelSavesPlus
@sueflynn6438 so do you rub the rough sponge only over the tile, and do your best to not touch the grout? Or do you rub it evenly over the grout knowing the tile is higher and will only remove it from the tile?
@@mygt8a4re Hi, I did it only over the tile not over the grout (but not precisely - if I went over, it didn't cause an issue, I just tried not to). Still looking good 3 months later :)
Very timely as I have been staring at my Grout for a number of years and wondering what I can do with it. I'll get a bottle and try it on a section and see how it goes.
How many bottles of Grout Refresh did you use in the 1/2 area that you did in this video? I have 2 smaller bathrooms to do and want to know how many bottles to buy to complete the 2 bathrooms…
I have small, glossy tiles on my shower walls. Do you recommend this same late-wash method? Also, I don’t have a steamer for pre-cleaning, should I just use bleach or something similar?
Good question. If I had small tiles, I might start with the early wash method. Hard to say. You can use bleach or any cleaner to clean the grout beforehand.
I don't know because I sold that home. I am in a new home and used the product (with a slightly different method) in this video. It is holding up incredibly well in a high-traffic room.
I paid $17.98 at Lowe's. hope it works. thanks for the video. the video I saw by the manufacturer MAPEI is short and much less informative. thanks for doing the video
I installed a new backsplash and my black grout turned out looking white and i cant get the haze off. Would you recommend this? Does it dry natural or does it look shiny and almost like wet paint?
Did you end up using this on your backsplash? We have the same white grout (should be light grey) problem on our new backsplash. Looking for solutions.
@@karenm3774 yep we did it. Definitely helped. I probably need to go back over it in a few spots but it was a life saver since the grout never cleared up
@@OGCJ10not sure if your still curious after 2 months but he mentioned in his last video that it looks good for 6 months in a high traffic area, which coincides with regular light colored grout in my experience.

Do you know if this would stick to epoxy grout as well ?
It does

There is a competing product sold at Home Depot called Grout Renew. Similar. Good luck.

Way less than one bottle! I saved the bottle to use elsewhere. It goes a long way.

So how does the original area look from 4 years ago in the original video?

How long does it last on wall tiles?
What color did you use for the grout? Not in the room but in the doorway ( previous video)
Bone was the hallway color from the previous video.

I feel it dries naturally. I don't see any shine on my floor.
@@MichaelSavesPlus thanks. It's killing me to cover up a brand new job. But I gotta do something 😕

Looks like it's a temporary fix
