You can never go wrong with a loft style apartment. Especially when it looks like that. And as amazing as this apartment is. I can only imagine how great that three level penthouse is going to look when it's done.
Until you have to heat it. Massive glass windows and concrete all around. I was living in lofts before it was chic. You can freeze out there by the water if you are not super rich like these people.
This is the first “apartment” id want to move into I’ve seen in NY…. If I sold off everything I could move in…without furniture…. This place is amazing.
Wow! I love this place, I'd never get bored looking at the different views. Neighbourhood looks pretty decent. The price is well out of my range but I can dream can't I!
Cash- WOW! What a pad! Love everything about it. Your energy today was right on point. Kelly was a visionary to put this building together in such an impressive fashion. So nice to see lively design with great contrasts. Background audio was perfect. You know I enjoy your editing. I thought the price was actually reasonable for such a sweet pad. Great job! Keep going!☮️👏👏👏👏
$3.2M seems like a good deal to me. I don't know about the area, but the views are unique. The apartment itself is stunning. I love the open concept, the industrial design, and the furniture choice.
The location is the only issue. Redhook has no subways and is pretty isolated from the rest of brooklyn because of the BQE highway. But the upside of the isolation is that it's by far the quietest neighborhood on the NYC waterfront. And if you work in the financial district, the ferry is actually a pretty solid option.
Wow. That's a fantastic appartment. Especially, I love the solid construction of a converted warehouse, the high ceiling, the space all around. Who has a view of the statue of Liberty from one's living room? Don't worry, I am not a competitor to get one of these - maybe one day.
This is one that I’d love to live in, in NYC. Not crazy busy with people and views that are incredible. I’d be watching the port and city all the time. I’ve never been fond of the idea of living in the big cities but this one is right up my alley.
For me this is one of the 3 best listings that you’ve featured in your channel. This loft is amazing, spacious, cool and strangely affordable for a luxury pad in NYC.
Enjoying your content and how you interact with the audience. What caught my eye on this video was your Addmotor ebike! Just bought one in June. So much fun!!
Wow, I can see why there are only 5 left. Love the big open room. Fantastic job they did. If only the empty commercial office spaces could be converted like that.
I have a feeling that’ll start happening within a 5-10 year period (possibly sooner). Otherwise the business district will be a ghost town. That means lots of people with money will be losing money. They don’t like to do that🤣
It'll be super expensive to convert the large office buildings to residential space. Additional plumbing for bathrooms, kitchens & possibly in-unit laundry. & there's different requirements for residential buildings.
@@MamaCarola1 still doable especially since they overprice the market prices of residential units in prime areas. It's already happening in other countries too.
These are INCREDIBLE!! Wow! If I needed to move to NY, I would absolutely buy one of his lofts. The decor, the layout, the kitchen, bathrooms…all perfection. He should be very, very proud of what he’s accomplished!
I know someone who lived in RedHook until recently. Where it used to be a place you didn't want to live it's now becoming gentrfied & unaffordable. There's an ikea nearby (that can provide Cash with enough furniture options to fill the space) & also a Food Universe supermarket that used to be the Fairway. The drawback is public transportation. It sucks. Only 1 bus line to the subway & biking actually takes less time to get to Manhattan. If you don't like the price there's unfinished units going for less $$$ & you can design it however you like. & if you like cruising & don't mind Princess or MSC you can practically walk b your suitcases to b the Brooklyn terminal where the ships dock!!! If you were to put this building in downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan you know you'd be paying way more.
Wow! Over $3 million in Red Hook! I remember playing football in Red Hook in the early 1970s with some high school friends. Red Hook was very depressed and not too safe for outsiders.
That is amazing for any where, not just New York. You get all the best showings and deserve it with quality presentation you offer. What a great property!
I’m a Londoner but I lived in Edinburgh for 5 years from 2017, 3 years of which was across the road from the Port of Leith, not a busy port but still, was quiet and kinda awesome. Got to see super big ships, navy vessels, explorer/research vessels, cruise ships (smaller one) plus the (ex) Royal Yacht was/is permanently moored there, and you could visit it as there’s a shopping mall called Ocean Terminal there and on the second floor there’s a museum with a gangway to the yacht. Awesome!
Also, I currently live in a loft so double relatable! Mines nothing near this level of luxury, like super super far away. Although my first non air bnb/permanent apartment in Edinburgh was in a sorta mini castle within parkland that the lord or laird (in Scotland) who originally lived in the house my apartment was in gifted to the public. So it was pretty awesome, just a sham the landlords were absolute a holes, otherwise I would’ve been happy spending my whole life there! Lol I won’t reveal which one I’m referring to but if anyone even reads this comment, which is unlikely I know, AND you know which house and park I’m talking about (also extremely extremely unlikely) then you will see how the a hole landlords turned it into a bloody holiday let/airbnb because my nosy neighbour kept bragging about how lucrative it was (since she owned 3 of the apartments and rented out 2.
That building with the cop car is the electronics speclized side of an autobody repair shop. Over looking Governor's Island which use to be an army base that had a short air strip which closed back in 1966.
Only in NY can you find a store dedicated to moss. Love the David Bowie pic over the bed. I think I could get over my distaste for a big, boxy, warehouse apartments to live on the water like that. I'd love looking at the work on the dock. Nice place, and not as expensive as you'd think.
So, we have Kelly in sophisticated casual black offset by clean white sneakers. Then we have Cash in teenage grunge complete with a backwards baseball cap. Opposites work! But I would like to see Cash looking more dapper sometime. Kelly seems just slightly dangerous. I think he's really a spy and real estate agent is just his cover.
They used to have the electric car races back there. They moved it to another state. Don’t know if they gonna come back. Ferry is close by and there is a cruise line close by as well. The bus is close by as well, supermarket on the waterfront, plenty of foodie spots.
Mr Kelly you have done an amazing job! This is the most impressive loft I have seen! Your designer did a bomb axx job! Love it! And, for 3 mill not bad
For 3million, can I get 2 parking spots & where do guests park? Paint the columns. I don't care for the industrial ceiling or the look of the hvac vents. I'd have to change that orange color. Other than that, it's a nice & roomy loft.
Hmm... Beautiful space and views. I like it but... $3.2M for 2800 sq. ft. in Red Hook? I don't know about that. My reservations about the space are purely petty and aesthetic. For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want an interior mirrored medicine cabinet! Just the thought of taking everything out to clean it and putting everything back in would be reason enough to make sure that it would be the first item to go. However, all those bathroom sizes are a dream! I'd flip the dining space with the living space so that the dining area would be closer to the open space kitchen. As it is now, it seems to me that the dining area is too far away. Instead of a laundry closet I would prefer a laundry space (there's definitely enough room) where all the supplies, folding, etc could be stored and done. The ID did a beautiful job! I liked all of the furnishings and the clean and simplicity of space. My primary concern though would be the cost of heating and cooling the space. That would have to be one helluva bill!
In 1981 I had some "spare money" from modelling - I got headhunted in London, where we lived, while walking down The Kings Road in Chelsea, where I grew up. I was 16 in 1978,so 19 when I bought the freehold - with 3 friends - on a vast warehouse in the meatpacking district, with a view of the rotting piers, we had no heating, just 3/4 oil drums, where we burned scrap wood! My parents had an apartment on East 52&3rd,we also had a house in Westport,Conn. All the furniture was begged, borrowed or found on the streets. We were all in the same business, flying round for shows & shoots. Studio 54 was in walking distance on West 54th Street,Steve Rubel,he was always sweet to me & never turned me away or charged me. One memorable night was an after party for "Can't Stop The Music", having been to premieres in London & NYC. I KNEW even then,I was spoiled/extremely lucky, well conected. Modeling is NOT a GLAMOROUS life style, but, paid way better than just about anything else. Our parents were a combination of horrified & proud & gave us much legal and life advice. We subrentented to friends if we were in Europe or somewhere exotic & the mix of people was truly amazing. When the regentrification/desimation of the meatpacking District went hand in hand with the rise of the nightclub scene, very gay friendly & being closer to village, was an amazing place to exist at that time. The horror of AIDS - I stayed in London initially to support a best friend, whose older bf had gone full blown, with dementia & I became involved with The London Lighthouse hospice. This place is amazing.
This was interesting to see. They really did a great job on all the bathrooms. Whoever staged it had a very unique style. 👌
How much does it cost to heat and light this place up?
Cash, you’re outdoing yourself. I’m in love with this apartment! It’s the best one I’ve ever seen! I really want it, it’s perfect.
That is....until you have to clean it....
If you can afford to buy this place, you can afford a cleaning service.
I've been waiting to see a video tour of this building. Thanks for showing us Cash!
Me too!
Absolutely love it. I would want it fully furnished as is. What a contrast to the apartments in Japan😊
Every loft comes with its own parking spot!!!! That alone has sold me on the loft 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
