3:00 guys, this is downtown brooklyn. It's not really somewhere you want to just be hanging around. If you're not from here just know that. Also the family court is over there

Second worst? Spectrum is the worst for sure. I walked into the grocery store this week and they were there blocking people from going any further, without having to hear their begging for us to sign up. They practically were jumping on people. Hmm... Cash has been featuring A LOT of luxury apartments as of late. I wonder if that is because there's an oversaturation of it and they're not moving? GEE WHIZ!!! I'm just chomping at the bit and about to pee on myself because I'm so excited to pay $5K/month to share an apartment with 3 other people... @@MamaCarola1 Can you believe that someone... rather there are those who are willing to spend $5K/month, for a year and a half, to have roommates? Make that make sense! Most adults want to be and act adultish and that means not having roommates (attitudes) unless it is absolutely necessary.

Cash, I’m grateful to you for taking us places most of us will never see with our own eyes. Having said that I’m disgusted by the sense of elitism real estate developers are fusing into this city’s living spaces. I personally think most folks living in these high-rises in downtown Brooklyn will learn absolutely nothing about the borough itself nor it’s inhabitants. Because you build a building doesn’t mean you are creating community, not, especially if landlords don’t open up those spaces to real working class people.
So you’re saying the people who live in this building don’t work and wouldn’t have communion with each other and the surrounding businesses? The, “rental vacancy rate of 1.6% from a total of 16,738 units” …”3.1 %” in NYC overall. That said, Real Estate developers are not in the business of loosing money which means that when they build something there’s usually a demand for it.
I’ve never seen a high-rise that I’d live in, they scare me normally but this is nice. Should I win the lottery I may reconsider and give this a go 😂 Great channel Cash, best wishes from across the pond 🇬🇧
That much light will ruin everything you own, furniture, clothing, decorative pieces, paintings, you name it all destroyed, and you won't realize it until it's already damaged, so it's a no for me,lol. Thanks Cash enjoyed the tour.
eily_b17, And rots it too! If someone moves in there they will have to keep the shades shut down the majority of the time. I live in a small apartment with 5 6 ft. Windows even with the curtains closed, the sun still bleached all the furniture, books and floor, in the walk in closet one small window facing East that ruined all the clothing on one side of the closet, I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point!
Good morning Cash. Nice apartment if you're wealthy. I'd be paranoid with all the large windows. I'm actually impressed with the amenities, especially the swimming pool and sauna, or as I learned to pronounce it, sowna; I grew up with a large Finnish population around me.
I also hate windows, I live in a tropical climate and like to hang around naked. My ideal house would only have vents and an indoor garden on one side or at the center with a skylight - that would be the source of light.
I love this channel. It amazes me how much people pay for what they do! I live on 7 acres in a nice large house with a mortgage cheaper than any rent I’ve yet to hear on this channel. And I can be in NYC in 75 minutes tops, if I ever want to go there. Which is rare. But man people either have extreme wealth or no idea of how property really is the greatest asset and just keep living o top of each other for insnae amounts of money! Shit I got 3 whole city blocks! Just blows my mind! 🤯
Barely any of these apartements are occupied. Rich people "waste" their money on real estate to secure their wealth, to save taxes and as security deposits for credits. Imagine you are russian or chinese and you make a lot of money. You have to park your money somewhere in a safe space. You buy NYC real estate for 15 million, refinance immediately for 7.5 million and invest that money in US companies and as soon your government tries to kill you, you flee with your family to NY and enjoy your life
Not living in New York, nor having ever been there, I am always amazed by New York's rents and home prices. The numbers blow my mind. This is a beautiful apartment, but yikes! I think I prefer my front and back window views of stucco'd block walls, my mortgage payment of $502 (includes 3.25% interest), and my HOA fee of $145 (which covers exterior painting and two covered parking spaces).
@@rolmaguiland21 LOL. New York seems like it might be fun, but I couldn't afford to live in a closet there. There was an old song from the 1970's that went, "If you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with." I'm just really grateful for what I have in my own city. So many in the world have much less.
I live in New York and the prices have gone to full insane mode, even in the borough's. Houses that were 300k are now 1.1 million and small as hell. I don't even understand how. A lot of the people who are able to stay here are in rent controlled properties, which have their own issues. But the housing prices here clearly have only become for the wealthy. You need to be a doctor at this point to afford all these new condo's being built here. A 25 story condo was just built near my apartment. It was the first high rise here in Bensonhurst. The asking price for a 3 bedroom in it is 1.8 million with a forever fee of 1.4k HOA. Don't know who is going to buy it but it'll cost them 13k a month.
@@sulimansyed2444 I don't know where it is all going to end! My impression is that New York is great, but I couldn't afford to live in a garbage can there - let alone anything halfway decent. Crazy! Maybe New Yorkers should move to New York's only truly competitive nemesis, Chicago LOL! Great architecture, food, public transit - at a fraction of the price! As for me, I live in Phoenix, which is rapidly increasing in price. If I hadn't bought here long ago, I'd never be able to afford anything now - and we don't even have the neat stuff that New York and Chicago has!
There are very good reasons why this building is empty; otherwise Cash wouldn't be here. With those huge windows, you have no place to hide, not to mention how to clean them. I wouldn't want to live here even if I had the money.

Honestly, the spacial distribution is horrible. No study, no library, no proper laundry room (with room for drying clothes naturally). Kitchen is relatively small depending on how many people will be living there and if you actually cook (where do you put your recycling bins?). Then I remember: this apartment is not for intellectuals with environmental awareness who cook and clean after themselves. Those people would never make this kind of money.
@@drivethrupoet In the video, they referenced that situation. The fellow mentioned it. And the lady agreed, yes, 4 bedrooms 4 roomates -- is a much better deal than the full price.
GAH! I used to live over there and the building was new & beautiful but also not imposing like Sauron's Tower a few blocks away - love Downtown Brooklyn/Brooklyn Heights. ALSO major shoutout to the Transportation Museum, ya gotta go (entrance on the corner of Schermerhorn)
Nice but I question how practical it is... You basically on display at all times if you leave the shades open. Slightly tinted glass might of been better? Given the low height of the building most the surrounding ones have easy view of it. It would also be an absolute beast to keep all those windows clean, the pigeons off the terrace etc.
Hey cash I was wondering with New York being so expensive and all the other nuances why did you personally choose to lay down roots there being from Mass.? im from NH ,and thinking of that leads me to ask have you ever thought of doing a livestream Q&A kind of thing? I don't mean all the time but like once you know? 🤷
To answer the question for everyone wondering "Why you can't own this?" Is because it is an APARTMENT and not a CONDO. Hence the monthly RENT rather than MORTGAGE.

I would LOVE to have this apartment! So many home decoration ideas. And that deck is sooo big. The sunsets would be amazing.
If you have a million dollars a person can live here for almost 4 years………then you’re broke.
I am not easily impressed, but this apartment impressed the hell out of me. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, so it's amazing to see just how much things have changed in the 7 years I've been gone. If I ever win the lottery, I'm moving back home lol
Wow! What an incredible apartment! That patios' shape is crazy cool!😊
this place was impressive ......the height of windows everything about this place was fantaastic......I would love just a month ...great video Cash
3:00 guys, this is downtown brooklyn. It's not really somewhere you want to just be hanging around. If you're not from here just know that. Also the family court is over there
Just stop. 90% of the people watching this can't even afford downtown Brooklyn even if they wanted to be there. NY had priced out most people.
As a New Yorker whose income has always fluctuated wildly, the biggest stress is worrying whether I'm gonna be able to afford the rent in a year or two.
Cash says to Michelle: "So, this is our bedroom ..."
Slick dog
She was vibing white him for sure
1:25 I did not see an ethical bank in your video, but I recently saw one while riding on my purple flying unicorn. From memory it was across the street from an honest politicians office and around the corner from a lawyer that charged fair fees.
Paying that amount of money for rent is definitely ludicrous. I’ll keep my acres. ❤
i believe it is called capitalism and private property, whether you have acres or rent a NYC flat.
Remember, those crazies must live atop each other for us crazies to have acres.
I'm always at the MTA NYCT 130 and 180 Livingston buildings right down the block from here and had zero idea anything like this is there. Incredible.
I just fell in love, what a beauty! 😍 And the apartment is not bad at all.
Cash always has interesting videos. Shows the neighborhood too.
Much success, health, happiness, and blessings to all.
Second worst? Spectrum is the worst for sure. I walked into the grocery store this week and they were there blocking people from going any further, without having to hear their begging for us to sign up. They practically were jumping on people. It’s one thing when they’re outside the store but they were hiding inside with no possibility of avoiding them.😡🤬😡🤬
Blame the store for selling out for a buck or just letting them.
Same at my store. It’s so annoying
Michelle is absolutely STUNNING... I can't pay attention to nothing else but her.
Beautiful home, beautiful lady.
Lool
I no words or money for this magnificent space. Amazing!!!
More endless white walls and gray couches please because I just can't get enough of them.
Oh!! That was a video about an apartment. I couldn't help spending the whole time staring at Michelle.
Very beautiful unit but at $25K/month... rather $18K/month (2 months free) is not a real choice for most of us--even with roommates. But, thank you Michelle for showing us a beautiful property!
Oh your sarcasm is shining bright 2day! You know there's better out there. & yes the luxury housing market is definitely oversaturated
@@MamaCarola1 Can you believe that someone... rather there are those who are willing to spend $5K/month, for a year and a half, to have roommates? Make that make sense! Most adults want to be and act adultish and that means not having roommates (attitudes) unless it is absolutely necessary.
@sinash oh yes just to say they live in downtown BROOKLYN. If we thought that Williamsburg was becoming ridiculously overpriced, well, this has topped it
@@sinash & where all the bells & whistles? I didn't see any
@@MamaCarola1 it's a nice place. But, I'm going to spend that type of money and have roommates? C'mon now... To share a place even with my own sibling would require 20,000 sq ft at minimum with separate/private entry.
A lovely apartment and the agent seems worthy of note for the future when the need to move arises. Thank you both for the great tour.
Id take alone in a small studio over roommates in a big space.
It's a shared space? Not private?
Holy crap you actually took off your shoes before stepping into the bathtub, this place must be ridiculously expensive.
I have never, ever seen him do that before
At that price, every footstep is 10 grand
He was schooled on respect before he was allowed one step into the apartment. He complied because finding material for his channel has become exceedingly difficult.
I was just fixing to say that
Thats wild, its how I was raised lol. To me it seems like common sense...
Wow this apartment is absolutely beautiful, and better value than most of the places in london which are probably smaller!
Thanks. I live in the area and have passed by many times. This would be the perfect place for me as well. Luxury speaks to me. I can dream.😂❤🎉
I’ve never seen a high-rise that I’d live in, they scare me normally but this is nice. Should I win the lottery I may reconsider and give this a go 😂
Great channel Cash, best wishes from across the pond 🇬🇧
Just have to add: Dustin Yellin's work is awesome. He'll call his sculptures "glass sandwiches" and they are beautiful and meticulous and detailed.
Not worth the price tho😮
That much light will ruin everything you own, furniture, clothing, decorative pieces, paintings, you name it all destroyed, and you won't realize it until it's already damaged, so it's a no for me,lol. Thanks Cash enjoyed the tour.
Experience has shown me not that much, but maybe they have developed something that actually works I haven't seen.
Sun bleaches fabric in no time. No windows in closets for me
eily_b17,
And rots it too!
Not to mention how hot that place would be in summer, the AC bill would be INSANE
lwebster7100,
Definitely!
Good morning Cash. Nice apartment if you're wealthy. I'd be paranoid with all the large windows.
I'm actually impressed with the amenities, especially the swimming pool and sauna, or as I learned to pronounce it, sowna; I grew up with a large Finnish population around me.
Looks like a greenhouse, it should be filled with Ganga plants.
@@NoNORADon911 Absolutely!
I also hate windows, I live in a tropical climate and like to hang around naked.
My ideal house would only have vents and an indoor garden on one side or at the center with a skylight - that would be the source of light.
@@JaniceWithTheTarlovCysts😅 💨💨 1:05
@@seilahqlq1are you a female.
Same here. I'm all about more bang for my buck. Then the politcal scandals and taxes...what makes this appealing ??? I don't get it !!!
What's really sad is the rich people have moved in on, and ruined Brooklyn.
Sounds like my dream home with all that land and privacy 🙌🏼
@@jomama5186 I get it's subjective and everyone has their own jive, but man, I can't wrap my head around it!
Barely any of these apartements are occupied. Rich people "waste" their money on real estate to secure their wealth, to save taxes and as security deposits for credits.
Imagine you are russian or chinese and you make a lot of money. You have to park your money somewhere in a safe space. You buy NYC real estate for 15 million, refinance immediately for 7.5 million and invest that money in US companies and as soon your government tries to kill you, you flee with your family to NY and enjoy your life
I'd make a little mezzanine up there between the upper and lower row of windows. My cat would love it.
beautiful space , gorgeous real estate woman - Michelle is fabulous ~ JDS/CT
The American dream - for me this apartment is a dream!
... and will probably always remain!
You have to do a night tour of this apartment too.. this place is lovely.
Good lighting is so important to me. I love all the windows!
Want to live here but a smaler place thanks❤❤❤❤
Keep in mind that people also make a lot more money in NYC and don't have to have a car. Still, you have to sacrifice space to live in NYC.
That is possibly the most beautiful apartment I have ever seen!
Cash, great job as always! Excellent editing!😊
That’s amazing to spending that much money to have someone looking at you all the time.
There are very good reasons why this building is empty; otherwise Cash wouldn't be here. With those huge windows, you have no place to hide, not to mention how to clean them. I wouldn't want to live here even if I had the money.
If you had the money to live here, you’d have the money to get the windows cleaned by someone else.
Those huge windows in the middle of the city would make me feel like I was in an aquarium, lol.
ms easterlin seems the best thus far to show you a place!! classy.
Michelle and the appartement both have class and style.
learn to spell before you type-its CALLED APARTMENT not that thing you typed
@@Rasira2023 Take your own advice. "-its CALLED.." would require the contraction it's. Or, you could just be nice and assume @stefanfalldorf6573 knows how to spell, but made a simple typo.
@@Rasira2023 it's correct in german and my auto correction is in german. But thanks a lot for your nice reaction.
@@stefanfalldorf6573 Ignore A@Rasira2023. Your spelling is also correct in French.
Tell Michelle her outfit was gorgeous. She reminds me of a young Suzanne Somers. The views from that place at night would be amazing! If you're into stark & plain this place is for you. I prefer places with character. Nice place to visit though! 😅
You and three of your friends who are also business professionals could live the life of luxury. I love this place!
👍!
But the horror of being a business professional ...
I doubt they'd actually rent to 4 people in one unit. At least one would need to prove they can afford to pay the whole rent themselves.
@@drivethrupoet
In the video, they referenced that situation.
It is my honorto meet you❤🥰
Love your channel.....great info/content. Love your sense of humor. Hope you get the home of your dreams one day.
I've found, watching so many NYC house hunter type shows, that I've fallen in love with Brooklyn over all of the burroughs.
Nice but I question how practical it is... You basically on display at all times if you leave the shades open. Slightly tinted glass might of been better? Given the low height of the building most the surrounding ones have easy view of it. It would also be an absolute beast to keep all those windows clean, the pigeons off the terrace etc.
Renting a house (depending on the state) is cheaper than the apartments he's been posting lately.
Did you mean buying a house? At $24,000 a month it would pay off my $400,000 house in under 18 months.
Awesome job cash see you tomorrow
I freakin’ love you dude!! I love your sarcasm & sense of humor.❤❤❤
Imagine paying all that money and not living in Manhattan 😂. Brooklyn is really getting froggy with these prices hahaha
Imagine playing all that money. I'd rather put a down payment down on a home. Fuck rent.
@@Killernaut16 it’s New York. We live a different life lol
I used to walk around that area all the time about 10 years ago. God, I miss NYC
I loved the layout and deck area. But, y'know, it's in NYC, which means that's like having a house located in the middle of a tar pit.
Good one about the banks. I chuckled out loud.
I wondered the same thing.
Cash has been a real estate agent in New York since 2008, so he's been there a while.
"Can I just live in your closet?" 😆
- charmingly, funny answer - 👍
To answer the question for everyone wondering "Why you can't own this?" Is because it is an APARTMENT and not a CONDO. Hence the monthly RENT rather than MORTGAGE.
RUclips suggested this video and i realized that we know each other :) (our kids are classmates) I work as industrial property manager and Dustin Yelin is actually our tenant. I recognized his art work as soon as i saw it.

The only thing more impressive in this video than the apartment is Michelle! Wow, both beautiful and funny!
I learned those corner buildings remain the youngest.even if they are old. Just the shape of them made it odd for industry or living. Very clever use to open it up and let some light in.
That apartment is beautiful tho😍 And the agent is so professional!
