- Two IIT Bombay-based engineers, Arindrajit Chowdhury, and Tausif Shaikh, started Inspecity in 2022.
Aiming to build the first city in a suitable orbit between Earth and the moon,
InspeCity has raised $1.5 Mn in a pre-seed funding round led by deep tech investor Speciale Invest.

Thats a great startup pitch just requires some hundred trillion dollars as funding.
I think they will need around 100-250 billion$😅
@@predex7171 do you know the cost of ISS, that thing houses mere 6 people, it cost 150 billion usd to make and around 2 billion of running cost now they are talking about an entire city (some elysium bullshit).
no no.. around $657.897 billion maybe enough for seed funding, then round A could be $65.234trillion, and round B I think 897.777 trillion wll be enough
no they are just scamming
@@abhishekmaurya4665it was in past when sending something in past where way costlier ! Have a look at it how sending something in space price fall down 👎 thanks to ISRO and space X !

Impossible itself is I m possible the American that's why are so rich bec. They think that they can made the impossible possible they great ex. Is Elon Musk and i support this startup the movement you think this is impossible you can't be extraordinary you will be just like any ordinary people that's the fault in our Indian education system..... thinking 🤔
They cannot even build a village on Earth with that amount.😂
Technically they can..!

I love that part where they raised the funds, what kind of an investor trusts this!?
A crypto millionaire probably
The beauty of "startup" one doesn't need to prove anything. Just sell a concept.
Someone who shares their dream instead of laughing at it.
Lakshmi chit fund 25 din me paisa double 😂
Probably every other serious invester.
25 years ago, world manage to get fundings of 150 billion dollars for making one space station that generated zero revenue. If you ask the world won't invest upto 500 when ISS dies(and it is gonna die soon) in a simmilar project. You gotta be kidding.
Elon Musk: Tough competition 😢
😂😂😂
It's actually mentioned by someone that why most Indian startups don't go global is because Indians are way too much pessimistic and critical of others' ideas
i saved this reel when ever i feel a bit frusted i like to see jokes and this is my fav now

Considering the ISS was for $150 billion 😅 they’ll manage to do exactly nothing with $1.5 million
Blueprints to raise more money
Well to be happy honest you know nothing how things work ISS was built By Nasa Roscosms Csa Esa and I think japan was also involved not sure about it they were well structured space agencies where as these guys are just starting who knows where they will reach
They fleeced the money big time😂😂😂
Do you know what ore seed funding means. It means the company is not even formed 100%. It's not like they'll build a city with 1 million😂
@@dsouzabc2234 these ideas usually in India go first via isro and then pre seed capital is raised post all verification ....India is not usa my friend.... there'll never be an Elon Musk in this country.... irrespective of whatever pre seed capital you raise
2 min silence for investors,,,
I guess they have read the ScFi novel Rendezvous with Rama series by Author C Clark written in early 80s or late 70s.
Nice idea. Good luck.
100's of such startups have already failed in US but i wish them good luck.
$1.8million for space city bro that much worth fuel will burn only in testing
Bro fuel will cost like 10mil
If they can be so ambitious to build a city in space...why not use the same ambition to improve the city on earth
Can't things to be redone by scratch
Its not ambitious for mass investment which is giving by billionaire who want to rule new land 😂😂
Changing things on earth means you've to go through a lot of hurdles....most importantly politics and the corrupt authorities
@@chickencurry7642 brother that hurdle are small compared to the loss our future will have , atleast 10 billion people will die if earth becomes inhabitable , do want that ?

😂
Hahaha 👌
They are cooking something else being clandestine !

Founders doing a pitch
Investors: why do you want to make a city in space, for research?
Founders: No, just for fantasy and to stay away from fight over limited resources
Investors: so according to you earth has very less resources compared to your imaginative space city
Founders: yes sir!
Investors: Is this a joke ,how you got admission in IIT
Founders: from special quota
Correction. Arindrajit Chowdhury is a professor of IIT Bombay who co-founded Inspecity with his PhD mentee Dr. Tausif Shaikh.
I truly admire their Vision and mission. But it's going to be extremely challenging. The amount of payload they need to transport in the sky will required a biggest and most powerful rocket like Starship. Which is a hard problem.
Moreover before launching it into space they would require hundreds of trillions of dollars
Now that's called a startup, atleast they are think about it.
Such a Big dream
Yeah that's the only positive 😂😂
By that logic creating a blackhole near earth seems plausible.😂😂
these guys who are working 9-5 are trolling the visions of the visionary😂have you guys ever dreamed of such things your only dream would be getting a six figures salary😂
Basically living life off of investors
so today i asked my mom 100 rupees so that i could launch a rocket to space which will be enough for me to live there for 100 years and am also thinking to ask another 100 rupees as funding to scale this to build my own earth in space okay then bye
Hey, $1.5M will get you a CAD license and an engineer who can draw up pretty pictures for your marketing campaign plus a social media manager who can make videos like this one!
India going to be space superpower 💪
I'm thinking about it too. Yes. We need cities in space.
Nice, they can become leading robotics manufacturing company too if you look at it this way.
Lol, that's the only probable outcome of this startup which is in no way a bad thing but over exaggerating it seems foolish.
@@ankursingh1962 bro abb is fucking massive company and so many automated factories can boost the productivity so much who knows that they can make cities in the space after this as well
Idea is always a simple but execution is difficult😅
Vgood yrr ❤ pehli baar ausa kuch india me but execute kr payenge yeh doubt hai
Wow....I wish they succeed....
But mining moon will ultimately leads to earthquake and tidal phenomenon which would be fatal
Finally a super ambitious Indian startup ... Wish they are successful !!!
As an indian it is not scam😊
As an Indian it is a scam😊

How can a space city solve limited resource problems on earth. 😂
Mining aestroid
And that is how recession hits us😂😂😂
skynet over now. next : Terminator Glaxy.
❤❤❤ Love the idea and the vision. Let’s seee how it comes out
26km? Yep it's totally possible.
Yeah you can get a nice house for $1.5 million in Bangalore or an apartment in Mumbai. A city in space? Now, when we still have a lot of space and resources on Earth? I don't see it, but good luck to them.
The money they raise for a dream like this siphoned off buying a home in Mumbai or bangalore
Investors are gonna lose all their money. 😂
India has the ability to become space superpower 😊
😅
I got a "7 din mein Paisa double wala" vibe.
APSIT 💪🏼🔥
Bruh
Let us see how far this goes, fingers crossed 🤞
Great Startup. I hope they will be successful one-day. Lots of love from Bangladesh
Good initiative hope they will continue to raise funds for their projext
Elon Musk:- Acha! Mujhe sikhariya hai🌚
I guess they are teachers of iit, some so illogical that people are planning for
Fighting over lands, such illogical startup
Settlement ho ya nahi ho they will have a big house in Mumbai for sure
It should be like 1.5 trillion first round
Did u just say "LIMITED" resources
Even moon is confused
Meanwhile goverment and ISRO is trying to build a small Indian space station 😂😂😂 , making one of the most costly projects on earth .
You believe them, that iitians
Materials which will used to make space home would be from Earth. Hence, it is limited.😂
Space mining is an option though, don't know if it will be feasible though
Nice dream. ❤ Keep it up.
Sahi chuna lagaya investor log ko yaar kya bheja hai❤😂
Just one word: "Elysium"
Yah I understand. Thanks for telling me that enough internet for today.
This video describes their end goal maybe 20 years down the line.
Currently, Inspecity is tapping the opportunity to provide in-space repairs where possible or a controlled de-orbiting of a satellite where nothing else can be done. The current flagship they’re developing is a “vehicle for life-extension and deorbiting activities” or VEDA and its mini-me RIG (Robotic Insert for satellite Guidance).
I’m going to start calling it “ the space “ too now
I'm dead
We should launch you in the space, and see shat happens.
This city will save us and bring true happiness in our life.
Trillion dollars government dega kya. A space-floating city is not gonna happen in this era. It will take a lot of mass and it is huge. Better we should make a city on another planet or make it on our
mother earth.
Wonderful information brother, thank you🙏
When ppl laugh and mock u, u keep on believing, working towards the goal. Some will mock these two, but know that, hard work to fulfill your dreams will bring positive result. A bit of madness can only bring results. Great going for these two.
Nah bro our technology 😂😂 itself is not on that level yet and it will cost trillion dollars to maintain it it is just a SCAM velle IITians
26km long 🤧🤣
I think they should have concentrated on Dharavi, Mumbai first
Best video i hv ever seen on yt ❤
Well very ambitious but I love how instead of pouring money on useless stuff , we started to invest in space a lot more
People who are laughing in the comments. Dont forget, when a man talked about flying for the first time, everyone laughed just like that.
Startup ke naam par paisa hazaam karne ka tarika😂
When I was in class 6th I used to make space city designs and space ships drawings...now I am working in toll booth...
That's great
But I don't think I would be alive by year 2100
The Autonomous service robot platform they make can be used by all Space stations and projects. Then they can make small human habitat modules to attach to iss. Then they move step by step towards their goal.
Launch costs per kg will fall a lot once spacex starship starts operations.
I also have an idea - I am building a rocket that will mine diamonds from different planets.
So who all are funding me?
Its great indian dream
Which only heppen in dreams
ya making a space station with 1.5 mil dollars lol
There is only one earth. Our only home. So let's put our efforts into making earth's environment great again😅
"dream big"....they took it very seriously....😂😂😂
I am amazed at the foolishness of human beings who don't want to preserve the planet.
Damn it, I was just about to do it myself!
Hundreds of people have tried to do it and failed miserably
They laugh at our small budget and big goals but eventually they are proven wrong. Just remember from where India started and where we are now. 🇮🇳☺.
you are correct go invest your life savings in this company 😂
@@priyojitchatterjee6164 😒
It's not about we are trolling we are telling the truth sending an object to space is very expensive and this project will cost more than iss (international space station) which is the most expensive thing on earth and hundreds of people have tried this but they do not have budget and this project is not stupid but it's for future when we will be capable of doing it
@@Rushikaraut3698 first they need to focus on poverty and then think about city in the space hahahah
hmm if it was Elon Musk everyone would have appreciated but because it's Indian startup they are trolling them
moreover they are iit graduates they are already ambitious and visionary we should support these ideas too if you guys belive that Elon will make mars habitable then why not this thing?and those who are saying about budget yes it's definitely going to be high but remember india launched mangalyan in money half than of making martian movie

It will take more than a hundred years at the least & more than a trillion dollars.
Tausif bhai… maksad nahi bhulna hai 🙌
That's good research but impossible at now 😂
When he says, the idea is simple 😂😂
I can see that people are not believing them just because its an Indian company.. I just want to tell you all that you are absolutely right...
But in America,
1/3rd of all startups are Indian😅
@@lightyagami4503 source-trust me bro. Indians are a working class in America 😂. Their participation is very less in usa start-up system. Being lived in silicon valley. All Indian engineers there are waiting for something new to get invented in California and then they will try that in India 😂.

I forgot the series name...but in that series they showed asteroids being dugged from inside and converted into liveable place...that looked more feasible than a 26km long space object.
Actually the game is all about tech capability which they get in the walk towards the goal and many more out of this R&D, this R&D one day can fund them, if feasible they only build it. Then we should be working towards extinction to make their work feasible 😂
Collins in space in only 1.5 millon doller 🤣🤣
