Will This BURNED 1968 GTO Drive Over 200 Miles Home?! The ROASTED GOAT

- Опубликовано: 27 сен 2024
- AG1: drinkag1.com/p... - I acquired this 1968 Pontiac GTO that was in a catastrophic building fire and left for dead. The muscle car was destined to be parted out until @mr.goodpliers6988, JD, Jim, and I arrived to save it from certain death. Over 2.5 days, we resurrect the carcass of the GTO and drive over 200 miles home!

What a waste of time and money just scrapped it
Dumbass
@@PoleBarnGarage 😂
Some people just want to get dragged.
Well seeing as you don’t have a YT channel and likely no work ethic @PoleBarnGarage is way farther than you’ll ever be.
I wonder if this is the same moron who told me to scrap my 69 mustang?
This is some next level shit!
Like it or not you're on that same level, so get used to it!
It’s definitely YOUR level shit, Kevin!😂
Right?! The main power cable melting the jacketing off was like the cherry on top of a burn steak.
You and Mook need to get that burnt nova going to match
@@seanokelley8324 Great idea for next year's *POWER TOUR!* lmao
15:42 “What is with the socks”
JD is the greatest RUclipsr ever - prove me wrong 🤣
"I would not bring my good socks.....HERE!" 🤣🤣🤣
@@GuntherVonB its such a father son conversation. i was cracking up 😂😂😂
That kid is the best!!
Chip off the Ole Block for sure!
yes this!!!!
Dalton's got three goats now- the Holey Goat, the Zombie Goat and the Roasted Goat.
It's some sort of trinity, that's for sure..
An "Unholy" Trinity.
He is collecting the four GOATs of the apocalypse
@@elchaporatyt4781 Good one!
Only took 3 men and a boy....
@@madengineer9072 I'd say about 3 3/4 men. JD's growing up fast and growing up right. He's already more of a man than some modern 'men' who can't change a tire, and isn't trying to learn
Kevin: I bought this mildly burned Nova.
Dalton: Hold my beer.....
You are a madman and I am here for it!
That little speech right there at 1:28:00 , by god I so hope you restore this magnificent hunk of steel, knowing JD's grandpa might have worked on it is surely added motivation
I just love how Dalton somehow collects the worst GTOs known to man and drives them home with relative ease. They have personality thats for sure😂
And don't forget the jag
I have a $50 GTO with the frame broken at the firewall... someday it may receive the Dalton touch
@@mr.goodpliers6988the $50 GTO needs to be in daltons hands he needs to drive that one home too
28:50 “little coal miner boy” 😭😭
I laughed my ass off at that moment 😂
He looked like a Victorian chimney sweep’s boy, saying that, they were all pretty darn grubby.
Jim- " we talked about it last night at dinner..." Dalton- "We had just been hit by a Truck!!" Lmao 🤣 best lines ever!!
"Well then we can claim temporary insanity!"
You went above and beyond on this one cause that looked absolutely miserable. Working on burned cars sucks as it is and if you’ve ever done it you know. But working on a burned car during an oppressive heat wave and driving it 200 miles home. 🤯 That’s an experience JD will tell his grand kids. I did not envy you on that one lol. What an accomplishment though!
The past two videos have been more worthwhile to watch than any of the blockbuster movies that have come out in the past couple years. Keep doing what you’re doing dalton, this is peak level RUclips to me
This has to be your craziest resurrection yet. Amazing teamwork of Dalton, JD, The Inevitable Jim, and Mr. Goodpliers.
Thumbs up to Dalton for his amazing knowledge, yet he slows down enough to take the time to explain things to JD and the rest of us. Congrats guys! 👏👏👏👏👏
JD will remember these times as special when he gets older. Your doing a great job as a father Dalton. Never forget that!!
I am about 20 years older than Dalton and damn I want him as my Dad !!! JD is a lucky Boy to have such a great Father
Best dad any kid could have
@@TheoriginalSpaceboy I on the other hand wished the things in SA were Cheap as in NA
This is the kind of journey JD will tell his grandkids about.
This whole adventure has been a joy to watch. Life unscripted at its best.
Good times
“This car wants to live, it has a soul…”. Best words ever spoken, that’s why I rebuilt my ‘64 Buick. It wants to keep living…
Mr Good Pliers channel is incredibly underrated and unappreciated. Hoping for a massive spike in subscribers.....Fantastic colab!
Passing the firetruck got me good🔥🚒🧯
I’d like to know what they were saying to each other when they passed by.
Great video.
👍👍
You should be proud of your boy, Dalton. He's a good kid and going to be a good man. Keep it up, my dude.
This has to be the funniest PBG episode ever. I'm not even half way through and just laughing constantly. Jim starts clear coating.... What a legend. Ever since he put on the cruise control during a race... I knew he's the perfect for this channel 😂
Love seeing JD really wrenching away! I swear he and Jess sound just alike. I sometimes don’t know who’s behind the camera. 😊
JD is like the perfect son we all wish we had when wrenching out in the garage……You Dalton have been blessed with such an awesome son!!!!! He is gonna go on to accomplish great things in life…..
Everytime ur in a pontiac thats somehow running despite many things going against it and ur just giddy about it makes me smile everytime. That half a mil subscriber dont seem to far for you keep at it hope u never slow down
Never will, and Pontiacs are special cars to me. Grandpa swore by them and built them new.
@@PoleBarnGaragethat’s awesome i have one down here where i live that a old man has
Jim is killing it in these videos!
One Pontiac that deserves to stay in the Pole Barn Fleet for sure. It can keep the Holey Goat company 😁 Must've given the firetruck driver a chuckle to see this driving past! Always look forward to and enjoy your content 👍
I think this one might be the full restoration car, it seems fairly good and you really deserve a decent muscle car, Great work as always man
This might be my favorite revival I've seen. Its got everything, utter basket case car, great humor, family values, a fire, and it actually made it back home.
I’m so glad I joined the Low Buck Club, if there’s one channel I wanna support, it’s this one, love what you’re doing Dalton!
You should be in the save the shop club as dalton himself comes to you in your dreams and helps you finish your project
Amen to that reply!! I agree 💯 %
Me 2
All things considered you rescued a GOOD car that didn't fight too hard to get back going. This definitely needs to be a full restoration.
But that’s no fun. lol.
@@One-Crazy-CatI mean, if that body isn’t protected by paint n whatnot its just gonna rot faster, and it kinda looks atrocious already, not like its a car with patina that’ll be relatively fine
I really want to see that become reality
I think the GTO is truly a work of art and a testament to American craftsmanship and was built when cars were real and men were men and is definitely worth saving .
Please bring this car back Daulton! Your the man. Most entertaining car channel on RUclips. This was a great great great video. Thank you to you, JD and Jim! Good job fellas
Dalton, the patron saint of wayward GTOs. Hell of a series man, thanks for the entertainment, I wish continued success! Also, love to see JD getting more experience with his dad, which is priceless.
JD needs a raise and a uniform stipend. Great kid
The race challenge was probably funnier than the look on the Fire Captain's face. Lol
The fact that the finish line broke before the car got to it perfectly sums up that whole trip
This makes the Holy Trinity for Dalton for true GOAT-dom....anyone else would have looked at this, laughed hysterically, and ran away. Not our Dalton! He sees what so many other miss, an opportunity for greatness! This will be a great build project, look forward to it!
I absolutely love what you said, " I can feel this car talking to me" I WANTS TO LIVE! If that doesn't inspire you to get off the couch and build something then idk what will. This is why I love this channel, the vibe is right. Thank you PBG!!
" It's a 💯 gimmicky,it's stupid, but it's still pretty cool" the one liners keep me coming back. JD earned his allowance this week.
Sir, I'm pulling you over because you're missing a tail light.... "Tail light! Pffftt...you should see my other car!" Good job guys! I thought the holy Goat was bad. You definitely put a shift in on this one....... Soot !
This man has a plan. By the time he has about 10 of these in the back yard he's going to have enough parts for one good one. GENIUS.
I fully support this kind of recycling. Stay green sir. Even when it's burnt green.
1:03:53 Should be the Thumnail. Smoking in the burned out GOAT. 😂
Loved your monologue about the soul of a car. I’ve always felt that, too. No idea how else to explain it… but old cars just feel “alive”, like they have a personality, like they feel and have a desire to live… and the more wear and tear, the bigger the personality.
As far as that Grand Prix, I’d get it running right and keep it around. They suck, but that one looked pretty clean… might be a decent little errand car.
The more wear and tear the more personality?
In this case, the damn car is sentient.
All that matters to me, is this beauty gets the love she needs.
Absolutely the best RUclips channel. Pure gold entertainment.
Loved this episode! J.D. IS the Mechanic! I’d be proud to have him for my Son! I know you’re proud of him, Dalton!
I love that you show what potential is still in these cars! Anyone else would have scrapped it. We applaud you! And hugs to poor Jess who tried to give you a super cute welcoming! ❤ Thought that counts 🥰
Great time to be a member😎🔥
The fact that you have a special skill for finding the absolute worst cars on the planet to fix and drive is wild….. and personally I’m here for it
JD, Dalton and Jim are friends Ive never met. Love what you do, and that you share it with us on Utoob!
I'm a glass guy and it was hard to make it through the windshield installation. As long as the urethane touches, it's fine, Dalton. Also, an hour in and I'm more disappointed that you haven't used any self tappers yet.
What does JD's friends , class mate's , girl friends think of his helping Dad on youtube ? He is a cool dude.
Some would call you an optimist, while others might say clinically insane. But, Jim was with you, so making it home was INEVITABLE !
The shot at 1:04:02 is why I love this channel and my heritage.
This was great! It reminded me of the time I bought a 1985 Mustang SSP that was burnt. You never forget the smell. We torn it down , replaced the interior, wiring, dash, trunk lid, windshield, and painted it inside and out . The pursuit package made that car run and handle great. It was the last year of a 4 bbl on a Mustang.
Thanks for another great video and also bringing back memories.
Aside from being absolutely crazy, (Given his vehicle purchases) Dalton is about the most entertaining mechanic on RUclips.
This is without a doubt the best of all your videos from the time I first saw the C10 project you got in in Iowa and you replaced most of the tin ,this is a project that not many people would do besides you That's why I like your videos they are the real deal this is what most of us has ,These are the days that JD will remember for the rest of His life working with his Dad .Ten years from now you two can kick back have a beer together and laugh your ass off watching this video at how filthy JD was while working on the burned out GTO ,Your making memories treasure the times .If you ever seen the movie ,Planes ,trains ,and automobiles ,there's a scene where John Candy is driving a burned out car and gets stopped by the cops ,here's Dalton bringing that to life 😚😚
Dalton your channel is quickly becoming my favorite will it run and drive channel. You totally keep it real and take us along on some amazing journeys!
JD Speaking up over socks is just funny. Getting his sense of Humor locked in
I love that you have fender protectors on to protect YOU from the fenders.
I was genuinely sad for Jess when her finish line fell down. 😂 Great content, as usual. Long live the GTO!
The AG1 offsets Dalton’s smoking habit and onset crippling anxiety from the poor vehicle choices 😂. Great vid as always. Great to see the kiddo involved.
Never thought I’d be this excited over a burnt car 😂
That grand prix that Jim had in the video is a real classic
Dalton truly is the king of destroyed GTOs. Now he's got the little over Well Done Goat.
Jim is a great addition. His one liners are awesome!! I definitely want to see more of jim with the boys
I love this channel for this reason exactly. You don't let shit stop you. You prove that cars other people think are junk are actually still good and have life in them. All they need is some love and a hammer and they are back on the road. Keep it up man!
"GTNT"?
I swear to God I heard Jimi Hendrix playing the national anthem during the ride home sermon!
Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing everything with us. This is the FIRST channel I joined, bought the shirt and clicked the bell.
I feel like I've cheaped out on you so im going to fix that.
Smoking a cigarette while spraying flammables is a very nice touch.🤣
Tar baby shows a great attitude, good job JD!
Jim is my kind of people! I really like that guy! 😄
Dalton, this was one of the best 'revivals' I've seen you do, BIG PROPS to you and the crew, can't wait to see this thing restored.
I loved this episode in your never ending SAGGA,,, Adventure! You can get pulled over in a pretty sane and clean vehicle for tail lights or whatever? But yet you can drive a burnt out ragged old late 60's Pontiac GTO several hundred miles without a license plate, registration or proof of insurance,,,,. And not get pulled over? That is amazing! The fact that you were able to get that vehicle up and running, make needed repairs, get it home on its own power!! And look like you were having a good time for the most part doing it! This is Amazing! Yes that car must of been in pretty good shape before the explosion / Fire that burnt it up inside and out. What a epic journey that was. And what a great time had by your son as well! You could spend a great many shows dedicating to the restore of this potentially great GTO. Great show! Stay safe and make your journeys as safe as you can as well.
The fireworks guy eyes were blue.... one blew this way and one blew that way! (Rim shot)
This is really a FANTASTIC video Dalton! JD what a great mechanic he's becoming, I cracked up over his socks 😂 and Jim is so awesome very funny you two make a great team!! Thanks so much for the education and laughs!!
I have always loved the GTOs and the Firebirds from that era. Please find a way to restore this fine piece of American muscle car history.
God bless you Dalton, I never believed in reincarnation until I watched what you could bring back from the dead.
Love the content keep up the amazing work, without people like you to bring life into these cars and people's lives, this world would be left to rust into the ground.
J.D you are an amazing lad keep up the amazing work
Best Dollar I've ever spent. Also, lets get JD his own channel
Don’t ever change Dalton. Don’t be VGG and become unrelatedable. Your channel is AWESOME!
You wrote it so I didnt have too. Stay humble Dalton (JD too).
I will, however, enjoy them not having to work in the old leaky barn anymore
VGG still works on wrecks. It’s channels like LSC that started buying all the exotics.
I think the word “soul” captures the spirit of the car, your family and friends. If possible, I would love to see you make this car beautiful again.
I'm amazed that you got Pos to run let alone drive 200 miles, guess that's why you do this! My hats off to you, hope that you can bring it back to it's former glory.
This baby deserves a full restoration i would watch that.
Yes most definitely!!
Lets remember this is the man who took a truck so rotted out and did a full restoration and took a gto out of a junkyard and got it to run and took it around whilst avoiding cops he can do anything if he wants
I would love to see a full restoration (paint) like the silver dollar Chevy except as cheaply as possible.
This is one of the the best episodes I have ever seen from you Dalton….seeing you and JD attack what most would consider scrap and getting it running and driving is not only incredible but also inspiring!
the clapped out g35 racing you on the highway was pure gold. different generations, same passion!!
Red sock-white sock kid is the star of the show, right after the cinder goat of course!
That did not look fun. Lololol 🤙
I just love the fact that you're slowly collecting the worst GTO's you can find. Now you need a 1965-1967 GTO
I’m so stoked you are saving this 68. Excited for the ride along as she comes together.
one more and you'll have the 4 goats of the apocalypse
This got me to thinking about a new sticker or T shirt for you Dalton. You could use the style logo of Summit racing, but make it say "Summitt resurrections". Maybe have the Goat trio on there as well. I guess you could also have one like Jegs, only "Jaags" 🤣 (feel free to use my ideas lol)
Yep - JD would fit right into a picture of 14 year old Welsh coal miners from 1874.
What an epic saga getting that car on the road. I can’t believe how good the engine is! I love that you and your son get to spend time like that together, good memories. I hope you keep chipping away at that thing until it’s all the way restored. That car definitely wants to live and definitely has . Can’t wait to see the next one. Thank you guys.
Young Master JD is really turning into a hell of a wrench. He just dives in and gets after it. Proud of ya, kid!
I love the post editing commentary! (it wasn't) the master brake
Should have added one for the rad. "Pinhole leak - it wasn't..."
I can't help but love JD, he's so awesome. "...I would NOT bring my good socks here!"
A great time to be a member.
This has got the be the most American thing I have seen in a while. I’m glad you save another and I’m so ready for the rebuild. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dalton, honestly your content just keeps getting better and better. Seems like without even trying you genuinely keep improving on your genius. 300K here we go 🚀
Would love to see a restoration series on this car, seems like you really have a passion for it and I would be hyped if it got back to its former glory
The finish line breaking on its own just shows the natural order of hardships that Dalton endures.
LOW BUCK CLUB YEAHHH
I have a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS that is a family heirloom that was involved in a fire at the shop that was doing work on it. It is in similar condition. This video put a smile on my face and hope in my heart. I have the same feeling about the Chevelle, its soul wants to live and it will. True American Muscle. There is nothing like it. Thank you for this and for the inspiration. God's Speed, God Bless.
It's absolutely comical listening to dalton rant about terrible repirs. Someone should tell him he is equally terrible. that's what his channel is dedicated to!! Lol
