this is gold. Rain in the city ahhhh. i love hearing the sound of tires running over water, horns beeping, people yelling to each other, trucks backing up, voices holloring taxi! wind blowing a cluster of rain making it fall harder, thunder and lightening, all the while the rain keeps coming. its so beautiful. very relaxing

This is very nice. My grandmother had a house in the central city - used to stay there all the time. I'd leave the window open every night to listen to the city. I'd be freezing and snotty nosed in the morning, but this sound was just so... I don't know how to describe it. That house is gone now, after an Earthquake damaged my city. Some hundreds died and the life of the city is gone along with this sound. This brings me back to those nights, some nights it would be chilly, and others it would be balmy.

I always imagine myself in a loft apartment with a bed by the window. This makes me feel so cozy and I fall asleep.

I honestly don't know why this is relaxing. I've never lived in the city. I think my love for city noises started when I was at work with mother. it was super late at night. we where in Savannah, Georgia. I found a quiet place with 4 windows. I listened to the City of Savannah until I fell asleep. yea, that's why. thanks mother.

The rain helps but somehow the voices and swish of cars going by is soothing too...maybe because it's nothing I have to attend to or worry about.
This video reminds of those nights during the summer when I’d leave my windows open to get some air in my bedroom and I could hear the summer rain and people living their lives at such a late hour, it’s nice to appreciate people in such a way

Not gonna dislike it, but I don't like this. Can't figure out why but it's giving me extreme anxiety instead of being relaxing. First one I've listened to that's done that. I sorta feel like there's something in the background.... maybe music.. I'd like to listen further and try to figure it out but honestly, I feel like it's going to cause a panic attack. It's a strange experience.
I listen to rain, thunderstorms, and some city sounds often to sleep, even have a playlist for ones that have worked best. This one seems to have its own class, not sure what it is.

Yeah. My friends showed me a whole bunch of scary videos that made me paranoid. I can't sleep at night. This really helps. I love rain noise because it just leaves me in comfort.

I live in a city but I guess you could say I'm on the suburbs. Some nights when I have my window open, I hear everything from sirens to rain storms. However, some nights I hear nothing but a breeze every now and then. For someone, like me, who suffers from tinnitus at the age of 18, this helps so much. I often fall asleep to music but alas, the last few weeks it's distracted me and my mind has never shut off. I think that's because of my lack of using it. Summer holidays turn into under productive late nights and late afternoons. I need to get my life back on track. God forbid I end up like this at university. Good night, God Bless.

There isn't another video out there that helps relax me enough to sleep at night. I've tried dozens of videos in every category of white noise and none of them did anything to help. This is literally the only video I've found that works for me.
I take prescription meds to help my insomnia and sleep problems but this helps relax me initially and i notice a real difference in my ability to fall asleep as quickly if I don't have it playing.
Native New Yorker missing the rain, and sounds of the city here in Florida. Those rainy days in the city rushing to work, going out to a diner, catching a cab. I listen and watch meditation videos and I said let me see if there's a city and rain video out there and this is the perfect one except for commercial that came through.
During a time where the sound of human life is so absent this is really reassuring
Facts. Im afraid the end times are here and I still dont have a woman 😔. Im tired of sleeping alone and this gives me peace because I also suffer from sleep paralysis and this keeps the demons away.

This is a very complex piece...I am able to identify dozens of familiar sounds. By far my most favorite for sleep and relaxation time (I wish it was longer). My tinnitus (and daily stress) thanks you!

That would be awesome, but what I have done is make a playlist that combines a variety of brad's awesome pieces. pieces. Then you just press play at the beginning and it should keep going for as many hours as you have in the playlist. You could also put this one on the playlist four times for example if you wanted it to be eight hours. I know sometimes people don't like loops but since you'll be asleep for most of it…

Hey there, me again. :-) I love the rainstorms you have too. I grew up in Florida and absolutely miss the thunderstorms AND the hurricanes! Thank you for providing us all with these wonderful videos and also again for them being ad free. It makes a HUGE difference to not hear a screaming advertisement at 4 am. I'm a fan for life!
Thanks! I ran ads for the first few months and it did not feel right. It defeats the purpose. I will be doing more rain videos as soon as the brutal winter passes ( and I hope that is very soon!)
This reminds me of when i used to live in an apartment in Chicago, before we moved out to the suburbs. When we moved i always used to find it too quiet to sleep, so this helped me a lot. Thank you!

Great Idea, I am from Scotland but now in sunny Bournemouth in Dorset, I actually googled "How can I have a thunderstorm sound on my PC." I seem to recognise that street somehow, I am probably dreaming, thanks for this, makes me feel at home!

This makes me feel kinda sad. It brings me back to so many memories. My dad used to listen to these when he had trouble sleeping, now I'm the one that does that and I seriously hope that this will finally put me to sleep after all these meditation videos

This is my all time fav and standard go to for sleep. There is something so distinctive about sounds in a city. Once worked in customer service where we took calls from all over the world. No matter the time of shift, Could always tell by back ground noise if someone was phoning from a big city. Excellent job.

Thank you. I miss when I lived in a small city, with the sound of airplanes flying overhead and motorbikes revving in the distance. Just off a main road it was never too loud, but enough that, if I kept the window open, I could hear the cars go by.
