The ladies still love them, btw. :) I was born a long time after this performance but I'm crushing on 1960s Bobby and Bill. Edited to say: If you haven't watched the live 1965 performance of "Unchained Melody" with Bobby in his pink jacket, you should check it out. He shows off his AMAZING voice to perfection. It's better than the studio recording.
I was so fortunate to see them live in concert in the late 90s! It was beyond amazing! They sang all their greats! Sadly Bobby past not too long after...such a loss! An amazing moment I'll never forget!
Way ahead of their time. They did a great collaboration with all female black group The Blossoms. It’s called the night time is the right time. Blue eyed soul!
Bill Medley is the tall one, he is 6'4" he is 80 years old now and still performing in Vegas. Bobby Hatfield is the falsetto singer. Bobby passed away from a heart attack in Kalamazoo MI in 2003 while doing a tour with Bill.
@@fidge54 dont exaggerate it either, medical examiner concluded that cocaine contributed to his already existing advanced coronary disease that already had advanced blockage and caused a fatal heart attack. It wasn't an overdose of cocaine, it contributed to his death from the heart attack.
Bobby was not falsetto,he had a 4 octave vocal range and was considered a countertenor which allowed him to naturally hit the higher registers effortlessly, falsetto is kind of a fake way of pretending you can reach higher registers when you actually can't.
Something about these two guys always drives me crazy. I love the hell out of them! Especially the tall one with the deep voice. I am like flailing about in my chair.
I haven't seen this reaction but it's going on my playlist before I even listen . I was born in 65 and I remember listening to these guys growing up and I was kind of alone in that category because everyone else was tripping over The Bee Gees and other people . This is my some of my favorite music .
The tall one is Bill Medley the other is Bobby Hatfield. They got their name at what I believe was military bar.A black gentleman in the audience told them "that was Righteous Brothers"
That is Bill Medley (the tall one) and Bobby Hatfield (the blonde) and no they are not related. Together they are The Righteous Brothers. Bobby Hatfield is gone now but he voice and range were incredible!
need to listen to I,m Crying , Stay Awhile , Walks Like A LADY live in Japan, all by Journey and What Was, and Forever Right or Wrong [loves like a river by Steve perry
Totally agree with another comment about "I Just Want To Make Love To You" ...blues/soul at its best. Ebb Tide is another good tune by them. Back in my day this stuff was termed "panty-dropping music" 😁
Ray Charles had a nuclear impact on every white soul stylist for sure. So did Otis Redding and Smokey Robinson. Jamel aka Jamel just played a video of 16 year old musical genius Steve Winwood in the early sixties. Just listen to the Ray influence! Same with Joe Cocker , Michael Bolton and many more! There’s a video of this with much better audio! I love your singing voice!
You to here them sing the blues then play i just want to make love to you. It will knock you out .. oh and always follow your reactions you get another thumbs up
I've watched many of your reactions ... and loved them. I am very interested in your reaction to the song MEMORIES from the musical CATS ... as sung by Betty Buckley ruclips.net/video/5mlllRdIfqw/видео.html
My favorites 18 years old 1967!!!!!! Awesome duo!! Old granny still listen to them!!!!
You should listen to Bobby singing “ Summertime” it will blow your head off !
These guys were a combination of good song writing, range and dynamics with a heaping topping of class!
The ladies still love them, btw. :) I was born a long time after this performance but I'm crushing on 1960s Bobby and Bill.

I saw that the night he sang it on TV ~~ Have loved it ever since!!
I was so fortunate to see them live in concert in the late 90s! It was beyond amazing! They sang all their greats! Sadly Bobby past not too long after...such a loss! An amazing moment I'll never forget!
they were so soulful and talented and dapper! I love to hear the crowd Roar! thanks for another great reaction.
Besides "You've lost that loving feeling" Bill is at his best in their cover of "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" It's pretty amazing.
I've seen this video dozens of times on lots of channels, but this is the first time I've seen it with that introduction by the woman. Interesting.
The combination of power and precision these two have is mind blowing.
Way ahead of their time. They did a great collaboration with all female black group The Blossoms. It’s called the night time is the right time. Blue eyed soul!
Listen to summer time!
Man, you always able to hit those great notes.
Bill Medley is the tall one, he is 6'4" he is 80 years old now and still performing in Vegas. Bobby Hatfield is the falsetto singer. Bobby passed away from a heart attack in Kalamazoo MI in 2003 while doing a tour with Bill.
Let's not sugarcoat it. He died of a cocaine overdose
No judgement from me. Just tell the truth
@@fidge54 dont exaggerate it either, medical examiner concluded that cocaine contributed to his already existing advanced coronary disease that already had advanced blockage and caused a fatal heart attack. It wasn't an overdose of cocaine, it contributed to his death from the heart attack.
You mean a coke OD.
Bobby was not falsetto,he had a 4 octave vocal range and was considered a countertenor which allowed him to naturally hit the higher registers effortlessly, falsetto is kind of a fake way of pretending you can reach higher registers when you actually can't.
May I suggest that you listen to I just wanna love you by the Righteous Brothers, I think you’re gonna really enjoy this one as well.
Something about these two guys always drives me crazy. I love the hell out of them! Especially the tall one with the deep voice. I am like flailing about in my chair.
Me too! Hubba hubba!
I felt like that when I first heard them at about 14.....Still feel the same way today. Bill Medley ...doesn't get any better than him.
Sweetie, love the brothers, really do. I think you have an amazing voice as well. YOu have the bravado voice as well, you would make a great singer.

That's Nancy Sinatra announcing them.
They were a duo who called themselves the "Righteous Brothers" since they were both similar in style.
Nice to see Nancy Sinatra introducing them. Thank you for this reaction.
Bill also sang the song from the Movie Major League "most of all you" and part of duo for "Time of my Life" from Dirty Dancing. Both great!
The tall one is Bill Medley the other is Bobby Hatfield. They got their name at what I believe was military bar.A black gentleman in the audience told them "that was Righteous Brothers"
I'm sure you've had a zillion recs for it by now, but the live version of Unchained Melody (pink jacket) is a must watch.
You can still interview Bill Medley (the baritone), but unfortunately Bobby Hatfield is no longer with us. Bill is still singing too. :)
A bit of trivia. The girl that introduced them is Nancy Sinatra, daughter of Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra
Next you may want to listen to “The Living Years” by Mike and the Mechanics
Thank you for that choice and your reaction...😁
Listen to their B-Flat Blues. Great song!!

How tall was Bobby? They said Bill was 6'4. But I've never in any comments how tall Bobby was!
That is Bill Medley (the tall one) and Bobby Hatfield (the blonde) and no they are not related. Together they are The Righteous Brothers. Bobby Hatfield is gone now but he voice and range were incredible!
FYI, the girl that did their intro is Nancy Sinatra, Frank’s daughter!
need to listen to I,m Crying , Stay Awhile , Walks Like A LADY live in Japan, all by Journey and What Was, and Forever Right or Wrong [loves like a river by Steve perry
I'm heartbroken. This video has an alt audio track. Gotta find the original man.
Totally agree with another comment about "I Just Want To Make Love To You" ...blues/soul at its best.
Ebb Tide is another good tune by them.
Back in my day this stuff was termed "panty-dropping music" 😁
Just boyhood friends
Trying to find out which version the other Reactors use. It has much much better sound quality.
You need to react to Unchained Melody 1965 live on the Andy Williams show.
Watch Bobby dance on Andy Williams while Andy and Bill join in on What'd I Say ... It's hilarious
There's another live version of this the same one, but thr audio is alot more clearer:)
Please react to I just want to make love to you, by the Righteous Bros!
you really need to turn the volume up because its almost impossible to hear them.
Awesome Reactions! Please react to "Radiohead - I will (Live in Paris)" and "Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope (Live in Colorado)"
Those mics look like a corn dog? That one got to me, lololol.

Don't talk over the great Bobby Hatfield. You talk over some of the best parts of the song.
Their is a better video
I had to give it a thumbs down because of the volume
