The fluidity is unmatched, you realize that right? I Always go back to this video from time to time. Much respect brother
JT Van V You're shadow boxing is amazing. You can emulate a lot of styles, which is really cool. This also seems like a better workout than running around the block a couple times. It's much more dynamic.
Thanks for the uploads! I've been going to a boxing gym for about a year. I've utilized everything I learn there plus from watching your videos. From a sparring perspective, I've improved a lot thanks to these kind of videos and just plain going at it. I can't wait for more in the future!
Fcu u oozy drizzlefic
Beautiful to watch. Amazing how offense, defense and footwork blend together.
Bro your foot movement. Amazing

Im new in boxing and after joining the gym for a month Im abroad at the moment visiting my family, I this workout routine or scheme will help me not to lose training while im away thanks!
The way you throw jabs, footwork , evading back and some shoulder roll defense u reminds me of miguel cotto
Thx Jerome, Cotto is one of my favorites no doubt!
This is the BEST showdow boxing .. that I have ever seen.
Very helpful, thank you! From montreal, but have been living in Japan for 7 years. Just started boxing 3 months ago and your channel is very informative! Thanks again, peace!
How is it in japan? Been thinking of traveling there
Just got into boxing. Love this channel man. Thanks so much
Props to you and your footwork, nice to see you aren't rusty.
You look really good and put it all together nicely. I've practiced Okinawan karate for about 50 years. It was the cool art back in the late 60s when I started but recent decades have been humbling especially with UFC and seeing the finesse of boxers like yourself. I'm not sorry for the time spent in karate but I wish I had some of the "sweet science" under my belt too. Stay safe.
This footwork is so amazing
Thank you very much, Mr. Van Veldhuysen for sharing your knowledge.
my pleasure Red!
So sharp man, great technique and coordination.

most people are in the beginning, if you are ever interested in focusing on this I sell a footwork instructional video here - www.precisionstriking.ca/product/boxing-footwork-instructional-video/
JT Van V Dude. Are you a lefty?
the only thing that will make you better is experience.
Well I'm a lefty, but when I'm sparring i might use a right-handed style in boxing
***** Well either you are a left handed boxer or you are in the wrong stance. I know when I started fighting I was standing wrong and didn't realize it. Try the other side see how it feels.
Great workout! It'll really improve my sanda! Thanks a lot for your efforts!
Footwork = unbelievable
This is Perfect. You are doing amazing
Great form and speed man. Look better than anyone at my gym lol.

Hey JT Van V, in my opinion, this is one of your best instructional posts! My coach likes your videos as well! Most honestly, as a hard working boxer (2X Desert Showdown World Champion Masters Amateur Boxer), I really appreciate your ideas, instruction, and strategies. I always look forward to your instructional videos. May God always bless you, champ!
wicked, thank you!!
JT Van V, after and before I train (I get in my zone and don't really talk to others when I train- ONLY MY COACH), I do and will let other serious boxers know about your videos. God bless you, champ.
JT Van V im learning so much homey & my confidence is sky rocketing thank you man

that's the stuff I like to hear!
This was a great video and was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much man! Subscribed!
Hey coach good session. After watching this video, I realized my footwork needs ALOT of attention. I wanted to ask before you started boxing you you were doing some footwork to warm-up, how did you move so fluidly without crossing your feet or shuffling
When I first started I was very flat footed and not mobile. My coach told me to start with footwork to build it up and now it's part of my routine, so I recommend it.
Ok cool, thanks coach.
Excellent training video many many thanks
Unbelievably awesome
Great video, nice work
Shadow didn't have any chance..
Loving it cant wait to work with this one. Ps your book is great thank you for effort .you really opened your glove with a knock out of information.
bacfu thank you so much for the support and feedback, it means a lot especially since it is one of my newer projects and it took me a year to finish it. your comment means a lot
Went from 220 to 204 (weighed myelf today) in about 2 or so months. Progess was slow but these workouts helped me bust through a serious plateau. Thanks for these workouts: they literally changed my body and my life.
His flow is the business....
You come across as a humble human being sharing his knowledge and I respect that.
Great shadow boxing Man !!
Awesome workout!! I used this today at the gym for the first time (I've been boxing for almost 5 years now) since all the bags and space was taken up and no one was using the ring. Definitely a permanent addition to my regiment. Thanks bro!!
gutzboxing wicked bro!
Great video, thanks!
Beautiful footwork.. Ima try some next time im at the gym
looking good brother, love your vids
this guy did all this and never break a sweat. if i did all that i would find my self with a pond beneath me
That's the cleanest shadow boxing i've seen, he's like a robot
dance man, dance!
fantastic jab
wow! Excellent!! JT thanks \m/
Everyone feels like a boxer until comes in ring!
Look at his meticulous head movements...I'm gonna study this dude...
How much of an assbag am I? I come in here with high priority of obtaining solid info, and it's laid out well. The visuals are great and the sound is crisp so everything is perfect... and my entire attention drifts of to a 2mm silhouette of a lady doing air squats and abs -_- fantastic video. Can't wait to try this workout tonight once all the employees leave the factory im pulling security at.
You are a brilliant teacher. Easy to understand, Showing not just talking. ReeeeSpect man..and thanks so much. My question. Im needing leg endurance. I am too heavy What do you suggest to lighten my load and also apply technique? thanks in advance.
Awesome, man.
5:30 Heeey back there in the mirror!

Man I wish I could throw punches and shadowbox like you, nice video!
aaronriley93 if you dedicate yourself there is no reason you can't be better than this. I didn't do anything special or different, just put in the hours, if you have the chance then take advantage of it.
JT Van V I will!
Insane man, thank you so much, i rly needed something like that. My boxing is a bit weak and im trying to develop it, thank you for the advices, im doing this for sure!!!
great video on shadowboxing and explanation on why to shadowbox. I also like how you sequenced each round to add more combinations or strategies. Good stuff JT!
That was awesome thank you for always being so open about your training.
Love your videos, i am a beginner and you are really explaining it well
That's fuckin' awesome, dude. Thanks for the video.
Any tips on starting boxing at home?
Great video as always…your videos are very helpful... keep this amazing job JT Van.
How many minutes usually is each round?
thx! 3 mins
Great technique
This really can help to all the beginners bro! Thank you for this bro!
He's like on roller skates or something, amazing footwork, very smooth.
Great Video Man..
I started boxing a few months ago.. :/ still confused on how to shadow box properly..
the other guys seem to do fine.. but i always have had difficulties.. I sure did learn valuable things here.. thanks again.. :)
this guy is Popeye and Jedi without a lightsaber in one
nice technique, nice video :p
First off thanks for all the amazing videos. I'm an amateur with only one fight so I know just enough to be able to tell your the real deal, and I've learned a lot from you. I'm creating my own routines cause I can only afford a membership right now and not a trainer. My question is on a conditioning day where I'm just focusing on boxing, after these 12 rounds of shadowboxing, are you hopping on the heavy bag for another 10 rounds? doing some double end work? how much more are you working out that day to push conditioning and still stay healthy, assuming this is about three months out from a fight?
I appreciate this video alot because I usually get bored during shadow boxing but you opened my eyes to innovative and creative ideas that I could come up with during shadow boxing
Allow me demonstrate the skill of shaolin, the special technique of shadowboxin'
Awesome very helpful video! :)my foot work got so much better just from practicing this drill
awesome !
Outstanding video!! I work out just about every day, but get tired of doing the same thing all the time. Was looking to mix it up a little. This is especially great when I don't have time for a full workout or it is raining outside. Thanks again.
I watched this video yesterday and used what I'd learnt in sparring that very evening. When I got my rhythm it was a lot harder to hit me and it helped baffle a very confident opponent, allowing me to let off and achieve some great combos!
Thank you for such a brilliant video JT Van V, it was excellent!
sharp sharp sharp
5:30 I was totally looking at you, Shadowboxing brah.
Captain Titforce i
I want to see you and Nate fight in the ring.
Nicely done ....
This is an awesome routine. Do it several times a week at home
So I pictured Lomachenko in my mind during my shadow boxing session. Hell no man he beat my ass ....
JT can I get your opinion on this training routine, it's been my plan for training as boxing season is not on during the summer in Ireland, however the routine does fall in line with boxing training at my club when it starts again (I train in a family friend's garage gym which has the fundamental basics);
Monday - Upper body weight training, a mix of strength and bodybuilding stuff. I try to balance out pushing and pulling movements as much as I can. For the main compound stuff like bench press and t-bar rows I stay around 5x5 for strength. For stuff such as bicep curls and dips I go around 4x10 range.
Tuesday - Boxing - 20 min Skip 5x2 min rounds weighted shadow boxing then 5x2 Bag and 5x2 Floor-to-ceiling ball all 30 second breaks.
Wednesday - Lower Body - Pure strength stuff like squats, deadlifting etc. I stay around the 5x5 range for compound lifts and 4x10 for hamstring curls and isolation stuff.
Thursday - 10 rounds of Skipping and Shadowboxing w/ weights, no rest and it switches from skipping to SB each round, I alternate this weekly with a more explosive 10x2 minutes; Each round at 1.30 and 30 seconds I flat out go as fast as possible for those 30 seconds. Then 10x2 min rounds on Bag and FTC Ball 30 sec rests. I alternate this weekly with a more explosive 10x2 minutes; Each round at 1.30 and 30 seconds I flat out go as fast as possible for those 30 seconds.
Friday and Sunday off with either a slow jog or sprint session on the Saturday. On each day I incorporate core and ab stuff also like the Ab wheel, crunches etc. Sorry if I've made it really long and complicated sounding, just want to give you the best insight!
Thanks much appreciated, love the videos!:)
Nice pretty good.
u can get creative by keeping the combos simple.............i like that advice
thx
