    You look really good and put it all together nicely. I've practiced Okinawan karate for about 50 years. It was the cool art back in the late 60s when I started but recent decades have been humbling especially with UFC and seeing the finesse of boxers like yourself. I'm not sorry for the time spent in karate but I wish I had some of the "sweet science" under my belt too. Stay safe.

    Hey coach good session. After watching this video, I realized my footwork needs ALOT of attention. I wanted to ask before you started boxing you you were doing some footwork to warm-up, how did you move so fluidly without crossing your feet or shuffling

    • @PrecisionBoxing
      @PrecisionBoxing  10 лет назад +4

      When I first started I was very flat footed and not mobile. My coach told me to start with footwork to build it up and now it's part of my routine, so I recommend it.

    First off thanks for all the amazing videos. I'm an amateur with only one fight so I know just enough to be able to tell your the real deal, and I've learned a lot from you. I'm creating my own routines cause I can only afford a membership right now and not a trainer. My question is on a conditioning day where I'm just focusing on boxing, after these 12 rounds of shadowboxing, are you hopping on the heavy bag for another 10 rounds? doing some double end work? how much more are you working out that day to push conditioning and still stay healthy, assuming this is about three months out from a fight?

    JT can I get your opinion on this training routine, it's been my plan for training as boxing season is not on during the summer in Ireland, however the routine does fall in line with boxing training at my club when it starts again (I train in a family friend's garage gym which has the fundamental basics);
    Monday - Upper body weight training, a mix of strength and bodybuilding stuff. I try to balance out pushing and pulling movements as much as I can. For the main compound stuff like bench press and t-bar rows I stay around 5x5 for strength. For stuff such as bicep curls and dips I go around 4x10 range.
    Tuesday - Boxing - 20 min Skip 5x2 min rounds weighted shadow boxing then 5x2 Bag and 5x2 Floor-to-ceiling ball all 30 second breaks.
    Wednesday - Lower Body - Pure strength stuff like squats, deadlifting etc. I stay around the 5x5 range for compound lifts and 4x10 for hamstring curls and isolation stuff.
    Thursday - 10 rounds of Skipping and Shadowboxing w/ weights, no rest and it switches from skipping to SB each round, I alternate this weekly with a more explosive 10x2 minutes; Each round at 1.30 and 30 seconds I flat out go as fast as possible for those 30 seconds. Then 10x2 min rounds on Bag and FTC Ball 30 sec rests. I alternate this weekly with a more explosive 10x2 minutes; Each round at 1.30 and 30 seconds I flat out go as fast as possible for those 30 seconds.
    Friday and Sunday off with either a slow jog or sprint session on the Saturday. On each day I incorporate core and ab stuff also like the Ab wheel, crunches etc. Sorry if I've made it really long and complicated sounding, just want to give you the best insight!
    Thanks much appreciated, love the videos!:)
