    I watched this video yesterday and used what I'd learnt in sparring that very evening. When I got my rhythm it was a lot harder to hit me and it helped baffle a very confident opponent, allowing me to let off and achieve some great combos!
    Thank you for such a brilliant video JT Van V, it was excellent!

  • @heelflipboy
    @heelflipboy 10 лет назад +7

    JT Van V You're shadow boxing is amazing. You can emulate a lot of styles, which is really cool. This also seems like a better workout than running around the block a couple times. It's much more dynamic.

    The man! All the way from Ireland here - started boxing about 8 weeks ago, doing a white collar fight in two weeks time - your videos over the last couple of weeks have really helped with my defense, head movement, jabbing technique, hell EVERYTHING! Really good work, thanks for uploading these, really can't express how helpful you've been - I've gone from defending most punches with my face to successfully slipping and rolling and even catching guys with the odd overhand right. Hope you keep it up!

    Great video again. There’s a lot to be learned by checking out sanctioned amateur boxing matches. You can hear coaches shouting punch combo’s, telling their boxer to maintain head movement, keeping hands up, angling out of trouble. Plus, if your close to the corner, you can hear/see the coach giving direction between rounds. It’s a great place to learn things and incorporate into shadowboxing. The typical punch directions are pretty simple, like a jab to a 3 punch combo (max).

    You look really good and put it all together nicely. I've practiced Okinawan karate for about 50 years. It was the cool art back in the late 60s when I started but recent decades have been humbling especially with UFC and seeing the finesse of boxers like yourself. I'm not sorry for the time spent in karate but I wish I had some of the "sweet science" under my belt too. Stay safe.
