I raced this car and track combo last night in VR and it was immense mate. VR just adds a whoe new level of immersion and excitement to these types of races and it looks gorgeous on the Quest 3.
Very nice showcase of how intense F1 in AMS2 really is! In fact, it is a bit too intense for me, hence the youtube watching of races instead of racing myself xdd Good video and nice editing with the camera switches!
Nice video! Re. nearly getting caught at the death: the active suspension DRS should add some mph. The DRS button at the bottom left of the tachometer will light up when in use.
i've only been racing hitech cars on interlagos for the past 2 days, my absolute favorite combo on this game now! also, what AI difficulty and aggression are you using?
Yes you are correct the F1 on AMS2 are the best. Did you know you have the correct skins and racernames of all carclasses in pack on overtake? It makes it way better and in one hour you have them all downloaded and installed.
Like others mentioned; you could have used DRS! (there are 2 different ways: they either raise the entire car, or lower the back end to stall the air going underneath it!) Also: automatic shifting was used back then, although i would only use auto upshifting and manual down.
Have you not tried rFactor 2 and the 90s F1 cars? Immensely more realistic and higher fidelity than either AM game. I dare you to say that AM 1 or 2 is better. Go ahead, make my day.
@@PizzaChet I haven't tried them so I can't comment I'm afraid so I cannot make your day 😆😆 I do own rFactor 2 though I just haven't really sunk much time into it!
Sorry do you mean the PPI as in Pixels Per Inch? If that's what you mean then it may not look quite as good on the larger monitor, depending on how far away you sit from it.
@@stevejones3868 I use an ultra wide to edit my video and play games that aren't sim racers. I have a 16:9 display for racing, I have tried the ultra wide and I liked it I just couldn't afford another display when I bought my sim-rig and had a 16:9 display spare to use 😁

Thank you I cannot tell you how much that means. I will do my best to do some more videos of the same type for you to watch! Have a good day ☺️

The aggression was medium and the AI was set to 103 I think but I can't say for sure! 😊

@@ReverendSimRacing DRS, ABS, launch control, traction control, active suspension, automatic gearboxes... f1 went mad in the early 90s!
@@KayoMichiels thanks for the info 😀 I only started watching F1 in 1994 really!

Anyone tell me what the difference in graphical quality between a 27” monitor @ 1440 and a 49” Ultrawide at the same resolution?
The graphics will be the same, you will just have the extended field of vision which helps with immersion really ☺
@@ReverendSimRacing Does it not degrade the quality because you have the same number of pixels over a wider area?

AMS2 is the best F1 simulation on the market bar none.
