Sarah Shakil - From an older woman: Don't pay attention to negative comments, from anyone, ever. Some people can only feel good by making others feel bad. Ignore them completely and stay focused on the things that give you pleasure. I've been using sunscreen daily for over 40 years, and trust me, you'll be very glad you started so early, for many reasons (skin cancer prevention is a huge one.) You might want to look into either prescription RetinA (start at the lowest concentration only one or two nights/week and very, very slowly work your way up to the strongest formula every night. This takes a year or more) or the less irritating adapalene cream that you can get over the counter, especially for discoloration and things like tear troughs. Neither of these is quick-acting, but most people notice improvement in the tone, texture and firmness of their skin with regular use of these. Use the products, techniques and cosmetics that you enjoy or appreciate, especially those that promote your good health, and face the world as the healthiest, most confident version of you. If you feel good, you'll look great. Some unfortunate people will always need to say negative things to anyone who isn't as insecure as they are. Don't join them. Those people have problems that have nothing to do with you, so take good care the person you are - there isn't another one.

Love these tips! In my area not many of the Dermatologists are doing cosmetic skincare and procedures, which puzzles me. You are the experts so why leave it to the MedSpa? Thanks again Dr Dray for the education!
I am vegan, so you know basically what I eat. I also, go to an esthetician 1X a month for various treatments. Laser, facials, another different laser. etc. This has really helped my face tremendously. Love your channel a lot. Thanks for your hard work.
I too have started some laser facial treatments. I have all my hopes for it because I do not want to have surgery. I have tried Fotona laser. Is it the same as you ?
Hi Dr Dray! I'm so glad your number of subscribers is growing so quickly, you deserve them and many more! Could you please talk about DMAE (dimethyl MEA) as an ingredient for firmer skin?
Do you have a video on getting rid of fine lines on your neck?? I never cared for my neck area until I turned 26. I think the care I have made for that area is helping but honestly anything helps, would love to see a video about that
I have obvious nasiolabial lines as well, and a wide misconception is, it's solely due to ageing. It could be genetic, also if you're smiling lots and being very expressive facially (like telling stories to a room of preschoolers), and also if you struggle with chronic sinus.. I sleep on my back mostly, eat a balanced diet, exercise, apply spf 30 every am, but that doesn't stop the smile lines from settling in. Like many people, I'd love to preserve youthful skin for as long as possible, and I have nothing against aesthetic procedures, but would like to defer those as much as possible, just because how many times can one possibly do those? I've found that a consistent skincare regimen, healthy habits, and a Cosmofacial routine, are helpful to minimise those lines. Hugs to everyone who are learning to embrace their NSL like me 💜
I was so glad when in a previous video you mentioned that the extra dry skin Neutrogena hydro boost was scent free. I had to stop using their regular one because of the fragrance. I am really happy with the unscented version. It works perfectly for me.
Thank you for all the information Dr Dray!! Would you be able to talk about Perioral Dermatitis in a future video? I know quite a lot of people have it, including myself, and nothing seems to work in calming it down or getting rid of it! It would be nice to hear a professional opinion on the topic and what can be done about it. Thank you.
Your skin looks so amazing!!! What are the necessities for a good skincare routine for someone in their 40ys with dry, acne prone skin?? It would be so appreciated 🥰
Reminder: Dr Dray does not provide personal medical or treatment advice per the disclaimer in the description box.. I would start with watching her videos on acne, dry skin, and mature skin, as well as one titled, “5 tips for dry acne| Dr Dray”. Basic Routine: 1. Gentle, non-soap cleanser 2. Moisturizer 3. Sunscreen SPF 30-50; applied and re-applied EVERYDAY 4. Optional: Retinoid (i.e. Tretinoin, Adapalene, Tazarotene, Trifarotene) or Retinaldehyde (e.g. Avene RetrinAL) or Retinol (see her Best Retinols video published on 5/26/20).

Her wrinkles disappeared her face looks amazing. She is 39 years old ,used to go to Sunbeds 2times a week 😱😱🙈🙈I think she had her first 4 treatments done 3years ago. And now she only got back to doctors for that treatment ones a year to refresh effects well she looks amazing ❤ I need to try it!
I kinda like my smile lines because they show how much I've smiled in life! Still use the Neutrogena HA followed by a good moisturizer, though. And sunscreen - of course.
This was exactly what I wanted to know! I didn't realize I should be putting a moisturizer on top and using the hydro boost more for focused areas. Good to know.
In my country I can only buy the regular hydro boost gel. They don't sell the extra dry one here. Is it really different? Can I use the regular gel under a moisturizer?
Thanks for the info! This has actually been one of my biggest concerns. I’m 26 and I already have to deal with these smile lines. I blame smoking cigarettes. I’m just glad I was able to quit for good.
I’m 27, never smoked (cigs or pot), been wearing sunscreen daily since middle school, and mine are coming in strong too! I’m sure smoking doesn’t help but it does happen early to Non-smokers too!
I am 28 and my smile lines started developing at 15. I have numerous reasons for why I think I got them but I think the main culprits are not moisturizing after steaming hot showers, not wearing sunscreen and getting sunburnt and of course genetics. Hopefully retinol makes them less visible!
All of these are good but one thing that western derms don't know but they do a lot in Asia to help smile lines is either facial massages or facial Gua Sha. When done correctly, it can help draining the water retention on our face that's mainly stored in our cheeks and drags our face downwards due to gravity making our smile lines more prominent. You can see a lot of videos on Gua Sha before and right after and see one side of their face looks slightly lifted. Note that this only works well with people who have a lot of water retention in their body
Dr. Can you make a video of Faceaerobics (Peta's regime not alienated movements, but her regime)? How effective are those exercises in your opinion. Thanks

Love these tips! In my area not many of the Dermatologists are doing cosmetic skincare and procedures, which puzzles me. You are the experts so why leave it to the MedSpa? Thanks again Dr Dray for the education!
Hi Dr Dray, Happy Monday!!💙
I love Dr. Dray! I've had filler in my folds and love it
Hi, I know this is old but I am just looking into fillers for my issue. What kind of filler did you use.
I am surprised you didn't mention face gymnastics! which is the most powerful to most of you mentioned. However great tips! thank you
Loved this video, i needed this so much, thank you.......
Could you please talk about DMAE (dimethyl MEA) as an ingredient for firmer skin?
rufuswainthebest Rufus Wainwright: She has. Type “dr dray dmae” in the RUclips search bar to find a video on this topic.
I love your house! Such a cute set up behind you haha
Thank you! That was a huge eye opener!
Do you have a video on getting rid of fine lines on your neck?? I never cared for my neck area until I turned 26. I think the care I have made for that area is helping but honestly anything helps, would love to see a video about that
Is it me or does Dr. Dray's face look radiant here? So pretty c:
Her tretinoin is doing work hennay
Glowscreen by Supergoop
The colors she is wearing are super complimentary for her complexion too, which really amps up that glow.
tretinoin, balance hydration on her face and sunscreen
Manila Shinde LMFAO I JUST BOUGHT IT! And it looks exactly like that on my skin as well! Works really well with a drop or two of foundation!
Great lifestyle tips at the end!
Thank you for another great video! 👍
Thanks Dr. Dray. Also, hope your mom is doing great👍
So helpful thank you Dr.Dray
Dr Dray, You look so healthy and happy these days, your videos inspire me to keep up my good habits during these wretched times!!
Thank you.
Nina nina: type “dr dray perioral dermatitis” in the RUclips search bar to find a couple of videos on this topic.
@@jt8142 Oh! Thank you! I totally missed that. Much appreciated.
Basic Routine:
1. Gentle, non-soap cleanser
2. Moisturizer
3. Sunscreen SPF 30-50; applied and re-applied EVERYDAY
4. Optional: Retinoid (i.e. Tretinoin, Adapalene, Tazarotene, Trifarotene) or Retinaldehyde (e.g. Avene RetrinAL) or Retinol (see her Best Retinols video published on 5/26/20).
Thank you so much🙏🏼 ! This was awesome information👍🏼🤩It was so helpful..didn’t want to do fillers..perfect options💗
I have had my Nasolabial folds done ..but unfortunately fillers doesn't last for to long. My friend has had Zaffiro treatment done in Poland and she looks amazing!
And sunscreen - of course.
logrbaker can u tell which u apply first second n third please?
yay i was looking this up a couple weeks ago and i didnt see a video from you but you made one yay
LOVE YOUUU DR. DRAAAY 😭❤️ Thank youuuuuuu
love frm. philippines 🇵🇭❤️
Is it best to use the neutrogena hydro boost under a moisturizer or can you use it by itself?
she said u need to apply it as a "serum" so apply moisteriser on top to lock the hydration
followed by moisturizer
I asked my dermatologist and she said alone was fine.
Me too! I’m 41. I quit smoking 7 years ago after smoking a long time.
Congratulations on quitting! You won’t regret it!
I’m 27, never smoked (cigs or pot), been wearing sunscreen daily since middle school, and mine are coming in strong too! I’m sure smoking doesn’t help but it does happen early to Non-smokers too!
@@MeghanF93 You understand it has to do with muscle structure/anatomy and aging overall that some thing start to sag a little.
@MeghanF93 sunscreen wont prevent that. Its your cheek starting to sag thats why u are getting those lines
I am 28 and my smile lines started developing at 15. I have numerous reasons for why I think I got them but I think the main culprits are not moisturizing after steaming hot showers, not wearing sunscreen and getting sunburnt and of course genetics. Hopefully retinol makes them less visible!
I loved the hydra boost but it had such a strong fragance and I stopped used it glad there is a fragance free one!
Happy Thursday Dr. Dray and everyone 🌸💕
Happy Thursday 🌺
All of these are good but one thing that western derms don't know but they do a lot in Asia to help smile lines is either facial massages or facial Gua Sha. When done correctly, it can help draining the water retention on our face that's mainly stored in our cheeks and drags our face downwards due to gravity making our smile lines more prominent.
You can see a lot of videos on Gua Sha before and right after and see one side of their face looks slightly lifted. Note that this only works well with people who have a lot of water retention in their body
Can you post a link to a video that has a good tutorial?
Any video you recomend?
Yeh pls hook us up with a vid for this area!
OMG THATS THE PROBLEM I HAVE I hate them so much , I’ve had them since I was in my late twenty’s . Thank you
I wanted to know if there is any make up brands that you would recommend for acne prone skin?
Dr. Can you make a video of Faceaerobics (Peta's regime not alienated movements, but her regime)? How effective are those exercises in your opinion. Thanks
Happy Thursday Dr Dray and everyone . Great video .I tried the SIO patches they are very nice except the one for the neck gave me a terrible redness after about 15 -20 minutes . Have a wonderful day . love to mom and Tybee
