Kinda off topic, but tretinoin (stronger than retinol) is really great for dark spots on the body also. My chest was covered in dark spots from my eczema scars. And tretinoin cleared it up 🙌🏽

AWESOME, I just bought the Advanced Clinicals a couple months ago! I'm so glad it has your approval. I wasn't quite sure about the stability of it but I wanted something cruelty free and vegan and affordable. I emailed them to ask about the percentage of retinol and haven't heard back yet, but I hope I do. Also, I too love that it's a pump, and I also love that it's pretty much a jar with a pump so you can open if up and scrape out the last of it that the pump won't get.

The only problem with that idea is that their body lotion has 0,01% retinol, whereas the version I use on my face has 1% retinol. 0,01% ist not going to do much on your face, but it's a good way to start getting your skin used to the ingredient.

From what I’ve read, tretinoin is only likely to work on newer scars (not old and white). However I’ve recently started using some tretinoin on my old stretch marks because you only need a little...plus I’m desperate haha

I just discovered Advanced Clinicals products before Christmas 2020 they are wonderful and very affordable and my mom I use the creams on our faces. My mom is using the collagen one and she is 75 she said she has seen an amazing difference and she said her skin looks more firm, eyes less baggy and skin looks dewy. I use the hyaluronic acid for moisturizer very little goes a long way. Same results for me. I also use the toning sprays. ROSS and BURLINGTON sell these product for around 5 or 6 bucks we racked up!

I ordered the Advanced Clinicals and have now used it daily on damp skin on my body every day for 1.5 weeks. I have not have any irritation or peeling at all, which is unexpected treating new areas with retinol. I have lots of experience with retinol on my face and I do have peeling/irritation when I use, for example, the Neutrogena one daily. I therefore doubt it has much active retinol at all. I’m wondering if Dr. Dre or others had a similar experience. It is a nice, gently cream, just possibly almost no retinol.

I am shocked by the news of DECIEM being bought by Estée Lauder😩. While it makes the current owners rich, I fear the prices will have to increase greatly!
DECIEM has been partly owned by Estée Lauder for four years and Brandon Truaxe (founder) wanted ELC to eventually take over DECIEM with the understanding that they would carry through with his vision of the company. My guess is that they’ll take the approach that “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” and hopefully their product availability will improve significantly. I also think that there are now too many competitors (Inkey List, Good Molecules, Indeed, etc) for them to make major changes to their product concepts and price points.
I bought two bottles of the replenix retinol body cream for $43 each this past thanksgiving and I use them as my face cream. I like the texture on my face especially in winter time and the ingredient deck gives me confidence. Cost per ounce is similar to a basic drugstore facial cream so that’s a good buy in my opinion

I'm currently using tretionion .05% all over (face & body). I've been using a few squirts of water from a spray bottle to thin it out & make it easier to use on my body. I then follow up with my favorite body lotion. I was wondering if this technique was okay so this video is helpful. My skin texture & sun spots have greatly improved since I started this 6mos ago. I wish I'd started using it on my body sooner than 48yrs old!
Great idea! I never thought about using water to make it more spreadable. Do you have any problems with increased irritation on your body skin? I imagine that following up with a moisturizer probably helps.
@@JulienArbor As Dr Dray mentioned, I only use more mild retinol products for my neck. Don't make the mistake I did...tretinoin is too harsh for that! I found that my inner elbows & knees are more sensitive so I avoid those areas. Besides getting a little itchy occasionally I've been fine. I've been doing a gentle scrub with exfoliating gloves in the shower & using a heavier body lotion after the tretinoin & it really seems to help. The results really started to show within 2-3 months. Totally worth it!
@@noneofbusiness7739 you know I thought about doing that but I believe Dr Dray said in a previous video that you shouldn't do that because it might not mix well with the lotion & then you don't treat the entire area.

The only problem with that idea is that their body lotion has 0,01% retinol, whereas the version I use on my face has 1% retinol. 0,01% ist not going to do much on your face, but it's a good way to start getting your skin used to the ingredient.

ive been using the neutrogenia rapid repair on my neck for approx a week and a half and it has helped my loose neck skin a lot!

Thank you. I've been secretly using my tretinoin on the back of my arms for keratosis pilaris with excellent results - I tried AHA & BHA with poor results. I'm going to switch to a cream I just orded from your link to see if I can achieve same results with retinol.

From what I’ve read, tretinoin is only likely to work on newer scars (not old and white). However I’ve recently started using some tretinoin on my old stretch marks because you only need a little...plus I’m desperate haha

I am the same way. My legs look awful. Im so embarrassed and get depressed. I have to use body makeup in the summer. I cant stand it. Makes me want to lay in bed all day so i dont have to do the work and cover my flaws with makeup. I hate being unnatural. I feel so ugly when I never use to be..

I use neutrogena rapid wrinkle (on top of neutrogena body gel) on elbows, knees, and a few other dark spots on body and it has really smoothed my skin out overall

I just discovered Advanced Clinicals products before Christmas 2020 they are wonderful and very affordable and my mom I use the creams on our faces. My mom is using the collagen one and she is 75 she said she has seen an amazing difference and she said her skin looks more firm, eyes less baggy and skin looks dewy. I use the hyaluronic acid for moisturizer very little goes a long way. Same results for me. I also use the toning sprays.
ROSS and BURLINGTON sell these product for around 5 or 6 bucks we racked up!

I ordered the Advanced Clinicals and have now used it daily on damp skin on my body every day for 1.5 weeks. I have not have any irritation or peeling at all, which is unexpected treating new areas with retinol. I have lots of experience with retinol on my face and I do have peeling/irritation when I use, for example, the Neutrogena one daily. I therefore doubt it has much active retinol at all. I’m wondering if Dr. Dre or others had a similar experience. It is a nice, gently cream, just possibly almost no retinol.
i have a bit of peeling after using it and it smoothed out my mom's rough patches so there must be a decent amount.

I am shocked by the news of DECIEM being bought by Estée Lauder😩. While it makes the current owners rich, I fear the prices will have to increase greatly!

DECIEM has been partly owned by Estée Lauder for four years and Brandon Truaxe (founder) wanted ELC to eventually take over DECIEM with the understanding that they would carry through with his vision of the company. My guess is that they’ll take the approach that “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” and hopefully their product availability will improve significantly. I also think that there are now too many competitors (Inkey List, Good Molecules, Indeed, etc) for them to make major changes to their product concepts and price points.

I bought two bottles of the replenix retinol body cream for $43 each this past thanksgiving and I use them as my face cream. I like the texture on my face especially in winter time and the ingredient deck gives me confidence. Cost per ounce is similar to a basic drugstore facial cream so that’s a good buy in my opinion

What are the effects on retinol on moles and freckles? Skin cancer runs in my family and I have a lot of moles. How would a retinol body lotion affect them?
Retinol has completely removed my freckles actually, kind of sad about it.
Retinol is not a preventive way of cancer, SPF is. It is o my for the look of the skin.
Differin removed my freckles as well, but once I stopped using it they all came back even though I rarely go out in the sun

This was helpful. I learned that my hand lotion has retinyl palmitate so once I’ve used it up I will be updating my retinol hand cream.

I'm currently using tretionion .05% all over (face & body). I've been using a few squirts of water from a spray bottle to thin it out & make it easier to use on my body. I then follow up with my favorite body lotion. I was wondering if this technique was okay so this video is helpful. My skin texture & sun spots have greatly improved since I started this 6mos ago. I wish I'd started using it on my body sooner than 48yrs old!
Great idea! I never thought about using water to make it more spreadable. Do you have any problems with increased irritation on your body skin? I imagine that following up with a moisturizer probably helps.
@@JulienArbor As Dr Dray mentioned, I only use more mild retinol products for my neck. Don't make the mistake I did...tretinoin is too harsh for that! I found that my inner elbows & knees are more sensitive so I avoid those areas. Besides getting a little itchy occasionally I've been fine. I've been doing a gentle scrub with exfoliating gloves in the shower & using a heavier body lotion after the tretinoin & it really seems to help. The results really started to show within 2-3 months. Totally worth it!
Interesting. Why not just mix the tretinoin with the body lotion? You save a step.

I think I have a pretty good idea where it can be used and where to avoid it after going through that and it sounds like I need to find another solution for the insides of my flapping bat wings! 😂
