Now thats how you give compliments. Jamie and Jim carrey are absolute legends at the AFI. They show their own skills but also give respect to the guest of honor!

Leo has that same lose yourself affect where you kind of forget its a movie for the 2 hours he's got your attention. I judge actors based on how entertaining they make the movie they're in, how well they convince the movie watcher of their roles and how much you escape reality while watching thier movies due to how well they are playing the part.
I think many people like actors who are just the best at portraying drama and deep emotional movies and roles but I don't like those kind of movies so I guess I don't appreciate those types of actors as much.

I have long suspected that Al Pacinos presence brings out the best performance in veteran actors. When I saw Fox in Any Given Sunday I saw him.in a whole different light. And one night walking through a movie theatre when I saw a poster of his silhouette portraying Ray Charles, I said to myself THAT is an Oscar!

When I see artists like Al Pacino, Silvester Stallone, Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Leonardo di Caprio, John Travolta, Madonna, Lady Gaga, all Italian blood, I feel so proud of being Italian. Although Jamie Foxx is awesome!

What a witty speech from Jamie Fox for a very worthy AFI Lifetime Achievement recipient. Al Pacino is truly a great actor who can play anybody, on stage and on screen. One is excited to see what Pacino will do next and when revisiting his work from the past, one marvels at what he has done.
