He’s still one of the greatest actors of all time. The Godfather Pt. 2, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, Once Upon a Time In America and many other great films. It does not matter if you agree with his politics or not, his acting is incredible and I’m always excited to watch his films.
I didn't realize until now what the "Good Night Gregory Peck," meant until I looked it up that he passed away on the night of Robert DeNiro's Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony. Classy thing for what appears to be a humble, unselfish, knowledgeable and smart man in the film industry. Without a question a method actor and auteur.
Kevin Bull well said buddy.... And very well put.... I didn't know that about the goodnight Gregory Peck, thank you for letting me know that...great stuff.
Gregory Pack was a giant in the industry. He was respected by EVERYbody, same as Audrey Hepburn. He was the President of AMPAS from 1967 to 1970 (highly coveted and respected position in the movie business) and he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom as early as 1969 (at the age of only 53) for his lifetime humanitarian efforts. If he had decided to run in the 1970 California election (he was seriously considering it), he might have beaten Reagan and may have even become the President of the United States, but he chose a different path. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor five times (same as DeNiro, Pacino, and Hanks), in 1944, 1946, 1947, 1949, and finally in 1962 when he won for his legendary portrayal of Atticus Finch in the classic To Kill a Mockingbird. He was married twice. His first marriage lasted 13 years (three sons), ending in divorce on December 31, 1955. He got married the second time one day after his divorce, on January 1, 1956, and his second marriage (one son, one daughter) almost got to the gold anniversary - 48 years (until his passing). He was shattered by his oldest son's suicide in 1975, and those close to him said this sad event changed him forever. In the last couple of years, his mind started to fail him a bit, but he was still going strong. He passed away on June 12, 2003 at the age of 87 and almost 16 years later he is still missed. His tomb at the Los Angeles Cathedral is visited by many every year.

I think Bob and Al Pacino are both very shy person in real life. Bob has been on SNL and Graham Norton Show etc a few times, but Al Pacino hardly do any talk show, from RUclips I can only see him do movie interviews ? And I remember I saw Bob doing an interview for the movie "The Intern", and Anne Hathaway was talking about how Bob is a legend and what she learned from him, and Anne said that she can notice how uncomfortable he is at that moment when she was talking about all this. Bob just gets shy very easily.

Lol you make it sound like in his personal life he’s some sort of monster. Last time I checked he doesn’t have a history of sexually harassing women, he hasn’t boasted about grabbing anyone by their intimate parts, he hasn’t made racist, sexist, xenophobic or homophobic remarks, he hasn’t made fun of people with disabilities, he hasn’t defended white supremacists, he hasn’t sided with tyrants like Vladimir Putin over the men and women of our armed forces and intelligence services, he hasn’t made fun of veterans, he hasn’t attempted to subvert democracy and steal an election, he hasn’t ordered protesters tear gassed so he could make a speech, and neither he nor his children have been involved in shady business dealings or public corruption. So what exactly is it that one might think of him as a person?
