My man, welcome to mastodon. I requested this since those not into metal/hard rock might like this intro into the band. They are a great progressive metal band, and if you like this you will probably like their new album. A suggestion would be teardrinker, Steambreather or Czar (great song but might be long for your taste). Thanks again for the reaction, always intelligent insights🙏🙏.

Good job on picking them. Very unique band with 100s of styles. The new Hushed & Grim album deserves some reacts. You seem to be really into the tight drums and switching paces in the songs, that album pushes that to its edge with 3 of them often switching on vocals or harmonizing!

Mastodon is a great band, Crack the Skye is in my opinion a good place to start with mastodon. This is their modern old rock style unlike their more heavier previous albums. Brann Dailor also sings on many songs but not on their older stuff

“Ghost of Karelia” , “Curl of the Burl” or “Steambreather” are excellent songs. Mastodon is the truth, brother. They really don’t make any bad music. It’s hard to really categorize a band like this. They just write great music, genre is really immaterial.
You should listen to Aveet Brothers. The song is called No Hard Feelings it's a great song..
