Hit me right in the heart. So many feelings about my own Dad and our relationship. He's gone but I'm wearing his jacket and I'm the apple not far from the tree.❤❤❤
My youngest son hes 38 sent me this. We never really could talk to each other. We love each other and I think him sending me this was his way of saying hey pops I love you. Awesome song!
My dad and I knocked heads from the time I was 12 years old until I was 27 when he passed away suddenly. This was 38 years ago. Yes, we made amends just in time. God is good to us in that way. Love is the conquerer and forgiveness is its warrior. Reach out to your son. You will never regret it. Life is so short…
If I may ask, why do you think you guys couldnt talk? That's how I feel with my son. he is 13 and I'm 32. Just looking for some knowledge from someone more experienced
Somehow I am going to thank you in person for your art. For the last couple months I have been diving into this music, studying and singing it at the top of my lungs. Any opportunity I have to turn people on to your music, I take it. I'm not exactly sure why. but in this moment of my life, a bunch of these songs have resonated with my being. This song rocks. All the wars, the devil. coo coo and 94 are just pure magic and a beautiful gift to all of us who love music. was that wordy enough?😂 Ps. Do a solo tour bro. you would fucking smash it.
The tree doesnt grow to far from the apple, so true as I look at my own orchard of kids that are like me and my old man, everything we are, is everything he was
My dad left when I was 5 and so I decided to be the best dad I could be to my daughters. I take comfort in knowing they love me and one day will miss me.
Powerful music is so refreshing. I was blessed with an incredible father passed at 59 far too young but kids would give everything to have a Dad like I had for even a day. Great man, proud to be my father’s son.
Saw you in Cardiff. Loved all your songs. my dad was from Cardiff. I was there to say a goodbye, as he died last year and I hadn't been to the town he loved), saw you that night and this song hit me. Thank you.
My father figure passed away 3 weeks ago my uncle who chose to take me in at 16 and became my father figure. God bless you for this song. You are a legend.
This resonates with me more than you know. My dad and grandfather worked on cars and tried to teach me stuff and pass down knowledge when I was a hyper kid and teenager but I wanted nothing to do with learning. I hardly spoke to my father because we didn’t have a bond like my mother and I. He walked away from my sister and I as kids and left my mom to do it all. He later came back when we were still young but it wasn’t the same. He worked his ass off for our family and didn’t show much sentiment but he did what he had to do. He now is battling cancer and I’m just trying to build a bond with him. Sometimes we don’t have much to say but I want to be there for him. ❤ thanks for your music
He may not have walked away. If you ever go through family court or deal with a woman. Your chances of being able to have a relationship with your children is damn near fucking impossible.
We had the same first name but I called him daddio . Fished ,camped, car repair etc. I'm proud to be his son and his birthday is coming up. Love this song.speaks volumes. Happy birthday daddio! I miss you and love you!
I just watched him on CBS this morning. I found out his father died of a pulmonary embolism. In 1998 I had a blood clood in each lung twice that year and they still don't know why it happened or how I survived. So my heart is with him.
My heart aches for your presence Pa! Your absence is felt deeply every day but especially today. Tomorrow will be a year since you decided to leave and the thoughts of the way we left things, has tears fill my eyes. I’m a broken soul and miss you enormously. We both know why we had resentment towards each other. Mum misses you and I never wanted to pick sides. See you tomorrow, my promise to you! -Little Wolf
I love this song I'm the 4th Robert in this generation we are still kicking this darn country's ass for the hell it gives us we pull ourselves up from our bootstrap
I don't have a good relationship with my father. I grew up unfortunately witnessing abuse by his hand. Mainly on my mother, but if us kids got in the way, well we were no exception. I tried my whole life to tell myself I was nothing like him. But as I get older I've found maybe I need to ask him some questions cause if I don't I just have a feeling I'll regret it. Family is hard sometimes.
I grew up a jr. too. being named after my dad. I just hate my dad turned into a POS . me nor my brother have nothing to do with him. I’m glad I have a stepdad now.
Only discovered Stephen less than 24 hours ago and I am obsessed. Wow! One of a kind
I'm about 72 hours in. It won't stop!
@ me too I’m still going I haven’t listened to any other artist since!

That's exactly what he was saying. Find a song that reminds you of him, and send it to him.
You have a strong son. It's OK to butt horns. Just need to eat at the same table from time to time.

Man, I envy you so hard!
Grass, green, fence and shit aside, I wish I could turn back the hands of time.
"Today you, tomorrow me."
