I am my Father’s daughter, wonderful song, it all comes back to where you belong in the end, no matter what happened in the beginning. Great Voice and I sure hope CMA appreciate your talent You deserve starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️
My dad and I knocked heads most of the few years that I had with him. Alcohol was the weapon the enemy chose to destroy him. Old school Oklahoma oilfield rig tough. I followed in his footsteps. I was 27 when he left this earth and had the honor of being with and praying over him in his last moments. Love is the Conqueror; Forgiveness its Warrior. I miss him…
I am the third, everything in my soul wants my wife and I to be able to get the fourth, this song hits me in the most powerful way that all but a few songs have ever done. My dad and I have always been close, he has done everything in the world for his family at the sacrifice of his own happiness, but good lord I am certainly my father's son.
Man this one gets me every time. He’s so right, I don’t feel so all alone when I hear his music. There’s some comfort in knowing someone has been thru the same thing you have and decided to purge some of that pain by writing music about it. Very relatable music.
Owe wow I didn’t think of that until I read your comment and you’re exactly right. He sounds like Chris singing country with “a little twang” as the commentator above me says.
I'm sorry bit even from the grave Chris Cornell can enunciate a word better than this. I love the words and the song but I couldn't understand most of it. Had to look up the words.
I'm 50. Never met my father, he left my mom when I was an infant. I had an abusive step father and this song still moves me. I read the comments and envy the emotions of those attached to their father. They're blessed.
@ 34 and I feel the same. I have a love/hate relationship with my father, but I’m definitely happy for those who had that dad. They’re a blessing for sure. Hope you have a great day!
Lost my dad in 1982 when I was 21. Miss him every day. Thanks for the song…means a lot; brings back good memories. You have your dad’s necklace. I’ve my dad’s WWII dog tags and Army division ring.
I hope my sons hear this one day and think of me. My father is nobody to admire and have never been able to look up to him. I wouldn't have had it any other way because I'm proud of who I am. Anyway, incredible song and musician this song should be on every station in America
In not a son, I'm a daughter who just lost her Dad on November 6th and I feel this so hard. He was my hero from day one and never failed me even once. This song hits deep.
My father died in 2018 and we were never that close but this song makes me feel even closer to him and regret not getting to spend more time with him. Especially after we both got older.
Found this by chance. I never watch the commercials. I was talking to my daughter so it was playing in the background. At some point we both just turned to the tv and was like who who the fuck is this. We both were just stuck listening intently. What an awesome song and both gave that mf their best. Well done gentlemen. We love it!
I may not be a Jr. But I carry my last name with that same pride. Miss him every day, RIP Ol' Man - D.E.M. (1959-2013). Not many new songs in the last few years have absolutely pierced through this rough skin & hit me square in the heart. Hardy made me laugh & Cry thinking of him on "Give Heaven Some Hell" & now Stephen Wilson Jr. made me cry & curse my Ol' Man with "Father's Son". Damn. You sir, have earned another fan. Beautiful words.
I hope Stephen takes great pride in knowing how proud he must have made his dad with this incredible talent. The voice, the instrumental brilliance, the lyrics, every element is a joy to behold. Thank you.

I am my Father’s daughter, wonderful song, it all comes back to where you belong in the end, no matter what happened in the beginning. Great Voice and I sure hope CMA appreciate your talent
You deserve starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️
Rip dad I’m still here kicking ass !!! Only if you could see me . The kids miss you also . See you again down the road . Thanks for this song (JR)
I miss my dad so much 😢
Songs like this only come around once in a lifetime....
I think he is best western in America
This is a great song. It's such a wonderful tribute to your dad.
Every bones tethered...to every son that was raised by a Father from the Greatest Generation who thought they'd never measure up!
Incredibly beautiful song 🙏🙌🫶
He raised a good one!
Thank you.
It brought tears to my eyes ! I had to message my dad !
Call him. Dads like a call.. wish I could call mine.
Your voice reminds me of chris cornell. I love your music so much!
Cornell with a little twang to it.
Owe wow I didn’t think of that until I read your comment and you’re exactly right. He sounds like Chris singing country with “a little twang” as the commentator above me says.
I shared cuckoo with my mom and said he reminded me of Chris Cornell. I'm glad others hear it
Comparing this cat to a dead man is just what he wants to hear, this is a fucking great tune and video.
I'm sorry bit even from the grave Chris Cornell can enunciate a word better than this. I love the words and the song but I couldn't understand most of it. Had to look up the words.
Even if you didn’t have a dad or that dad, this song touches your heart no matter what❤️
Damn this one got the tears flowing from these 57 year old eyes
Likewise this 60
Greatest song ever written in my eyes
I hope my sons hear this one day and think of me. My father is nobody to admire and have never been able to look up to him. I wouldn't have had it any other way because I'm proud of who I am. Anyway, incredible song and musician this song should be on every station in America
In not a son, I'm a daughter who just lost her Dad on November 6th and I feel this so hard. He was my hero from day one and never failed me even once. This song hits deep.
Then you made his life complete. Can’t do better.
I still have my old man he’s 76 and this song means the world to me. 😢. 💚 it.
We love it!
OMG .... beautiful......1st comment I ever posted.......so moving, NEVER stop dreaming everyone!
Thank you.
"Wanna change my name, gotta drain my blood."
Yessur.
Miss ya, pops.

Lost my Dad on June 25th 2014, my youngest son 21 days prior, I'm 73 and still crushed, 😢
I have tears in my eyes, 42 years old. Love you Dad
this has multiple meanings, fighting against God as well then realizing none's better...deep
Wether Father Son
or Mother Daughter....
Love them while you have them. ❤
Ever since I found this song on Apple, I’ve been playing all your music non stop. Love them!
Same!!! 1994 is soooo relatable! And, even though I'm a woman, I still relate to the message of this song. His voice is incredible!!
For me it was the "Devil" I first listened to, and ever since
His music is somethin else.
He did soooo good at faster horses
I keep listening to this song and seeing if I can make it through without welling up with tears, so far I’m 0 for 5.
Happy travels sir! I see you are touring ALL over! I know you won’t forget where you come from, don’t run too hard from that pain please 🙏. Thank you for sharing your story, you are what the definition is of our universal love ❤️ language 🎵full of soul! You protect that soul now, you hear me?!?!
To anyone listening to his album, God bless you, it’s a healing ❤️🩹 journey with his music! God bless you sir in your travels! Wisconsin sure would love to see you
God I miss you Dad, until we meet again old man
Phenomenal talent. Potentially a once in a Generation kinda talent!
