Excellent way of instructing viewers how to bake. She spoke slowly and clearly carefully explaining the steps to be done. She reminded me of Martha Stewart who is the icon in cooking and baking.

I made this last night and it turned out just like I hoped. Tasted like a real pound cake with the perfect flavor and texture. It took only 40 min in my Wolf oven (did not need the foil). Slices beautifully. Served with fresh strawberries (with chambord) and whipped cream. Note: my first time using new (to us) oven. I followed the recipe exactly. Thanks Stephanie, for another recipe I can count on.

My mother used to buy the Sara Lee pound cakes from the store. Most of our sweets were from a mix.
When I first lived on my own, I bought cake mixes until I bought a couple cookbooks that had almost every recipe I could imagine at the time.
First cake I made was a pound cake. It was shocking how good it was to me. That was when my love for baked goods from scratch began. Wasn't fond of cooking as much.
Pound cakes always remind me of that time I spent hours in my kitchen, becoming an adult while friends tried to convince me that going to clubs was more fun.
I love watching you take your creations out of the oven. I can see in your face that barely contained pride and excitement. Getting that close-up look when you cut the cake and seeing you enjoy that first warm bite. I never tire of seeing your videos over and over. Thanks for the smiles you give me with your recipes.

I have worked at my grandparents bakery in the late 60's and 70's with my father and the pound cakes were perfect, unfortunately the recipes I have are too big and usually don't scale down good. This definitely looks like I want to try it. Your batter was the exact consistency that I can remember. And the split makes it look beautiful. I love it toasted with butter 😋 as well as plain. Thank you, I love channel.

I made this yesterday 2/14/21. I was looking for a pound cake recipe. I found 2. I couldn't decide which to make so I made both. YOUR recipe everyone loved. This cake was lighter, tastier, and had a really nice texture. Your method of adding the butter to the flour made a faster cake. I did make a mistake. After adding the butter to the flour mixture, I mixed until moisten then followed the liquid addition directions and this pound cake still came out lighter than the other. I really enjoyed it!!

You can Sub for Cake Flour... By taking out three teaspoons of flour out of each cup used,
and replace it with three teaspoon of corn starch to your regular cup of flour.... mix it well.
And it comes out great.... Stephanie I like how you demo your recipes and make it look so easy to do.... witch it really is.

yes, I tried this recipe two days ago, it's really really nice! and I reduced the sugar to 65g/70g. A hundred and fifty gram is too sweet for me. Best butter cake and very good texture, not crumbly at all, it's moist and soft. Love it! By the way, i took a small portion of the batter and added powder chocolate. It turned out good too.(marble butter pound cake). yummy!

Ha ha! I just tried this recipe. I love the way you give measurements in grams. Hard to go wrong when using accurate kitchen scales. My problem came when I used baking powder with a best by date of 1/15/2015! And, my all purpose flour best buy date was 12/5/2019. All things being equal, it did have a great taste to it and I like the simplified process. There was still a little life left in my baking soda because it did rise about half as what Stephanie's did! Sent wife to store for fresh ingredients and will try again. Thanks!

This was absolutely delicious! I didn’t have cake flour on hand, but easily found the ratio to make a substitution using cornstarch and AP flour.

I made your cake recipe. Only thing instead of butter, I used 12 Tablespoons of Olive Oil and it tasted so good. Thanks for the video.

This the best recipe i ever tried. The outcome was very much similar to the best baker in our city. My cake wasnt as beautifully brown as yours. But the taste was great. The timer tip really worked. Thanks a lot.
