    This is what I needed so thank you 🙏
    My criticism is you could simplify this and get to pin location, in and out, in like the first 30 seconds to a minute into the video. Then go ahead and ramble about whatever you like. Thank you for taking the time to make this though!

    That is the proper way to wire it, but the LED (actually a pilot light) is not in series with the load, in that place you have a second switch, used to also interrupt the neutral(useful in continental europe where the wall socket (schuko) is reversible, actually reversing live and neutral sides). The LED is connected to the Live and Neutral poles on the load side. if you invert the mains and load sides you end up with a switch permanently lit, which might be useful if you need to find it in the dark.

    The switch illuminator light appears to be wired between the center 2 terminals. You can switch the wires around such that the illuminator is on when the light is off and vice-versa.

      If your switch is no indicator light you can use that for both AC and DC .

    Why does the ground (-) wire from the load (motor/light/etc) connect to the switch? Can it be directly to the battery ground (-)? the switch internal LED will opperate without the ground wire from the load connected to the switch.

    Can this be used to splice into a shop vac cord? Would you simply connect the ground wires to each other, so not part of this switch?

    • @passiontechklm
      @passiontechklm  Год назад

      You can use this switch as two in one , which means one switch but two load control .on the other hand as in this video is one load control with neon light itself.i hope you got the idea.

  • @ruben3585

    Hello, your video allows the switch to work but there is incorrect information in the diagram. There are not two poles for the switch and two for the LED as stated. In fact, if you just energize the switch with L and N, and turn it to on, you will see the LED light up. The next poles are the continuity of the energy to power the lamp or whatever. If one pole of the lamp is connected directly to L (bypassing the switch), then just connect N in sequence and in this case it is not even necessary to use the four poles. Just three are enough, and everything will work fine.

      Hello! If i do the inputs the led goes on rocked to the on position? Can i do input without connecting the outputs? How can i neutralize outputs?
      I want a fake switch in my workbench. Can you update?

    • @ruben3585
      @ruben3585 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you can make the inputs (upper pair) without connecting the outputs (lower pair) and the LED will light up rocking to the on position. If there is no risk of touching the outputs, you can leave them uninsulated. But for safety, you can insulate them with an insulating tape.@@phantom-boogie
