It's when you listen to a music and you feel that it sets fire on you and adrenaline fills your body... I can say that only a few songs can do this, but when I listen to this masterpiece i just want to go somewhere and kick some butts.
Łukasz Śmigielski 2nd Law gets too much crap for the dubstep songs. Otherwise the songs are great. Supremacy is a great jam. Animals is one of my favorite songs from muse and Liquid State is also a meaningful and good song.
I'm 69 and this is one of my all time favourite albums. As a retired guitarist, this is the perfect reminder of being young, angry and idealistic. The track spits out venom at the injustice of life and the world. From 6:38 till the end would be amazing in a Bond movie.
@@SteventheOtaku it is the best 'job' ever... I was 17 and stayed in my room every night for 2 years learning how to work out songs from ear. @@alanmillar839 man that sounds awesome I've been thinking about getting into playing, it sounds like you have a lot of great memories with it so I'm gonna try it thanks for the time ✌
For me, this song is the most “Muse” song. I think that of all their work, it actually hits the broadest range of their work. When I think of amuse, this is the song that first pops ingot my head. It feels like it encompasses everything they relay are
I once played this for class as a part of a project, for whatever reason thinking it was 3-4 minutes long, and the substitute kept trying to stop the song and I was like "hold on it's not over yet" in hindsight I should've played the globalist
+Zeynep şeremet I can hear lots of Orwell in this album too ! Give a little book called Dawn (part of xenogenesis trilogy). There is a lot in this music from that book, and it is not too long and a brilliant page turner with some pretty complex ideas in it.
MUSE forever.. my two favourite bands of alltime is Depeche Mode and Muse - together, they have created the soundtrack of my life! A song for every occasion, every feeling, every experience.. I love how both these bands are evolving, alongside with me
Now I am not a Muse fan in the slightest. But this album is the only one I can listen to from beginning to end with no skips. Used to play the shit out of it when I was younger. The nostalgia it brings back is unmatched.
this album always brings back memories of playing Super Metroid. simply cuz my first time playing through SM was when this album came out, so ofc I was listening to this on repeat B)
Melon Innuendo I've played for two years so i don't think i need lessons. Do you think it's too hard to play? I'm currently practising the Bat Country solo (Avenged Sevenfold)
I'm making Accountancy homework but it doesn't matters, I always want to blow my ears when I listen this song, without doubt one of the best of The Resistance :D
+cheiften98 I was saying the same thing like 3 months ago, but with a lot of practice now I can tell this song is easy, also you need to feel music, not just playing it like a emotionless robot. Cheers bud
+Toestik Me too! When I listen to christian bands like skillet a lot of their lyrics just grind my gears, talking about faith and the like. But I really identify with a lot of muse lyrics. Muse are the memetic meme master atheists. Yay! (lol)
+Gow Bruh The lyric was referring to the fact that there are ideas (like religion) that are "mind-viruses" in the sense that they act like viruses, and evolve to be able to spread themselves better (and heavily implying that they have negative affects on the host, which is in this case peoples' minds). Also, I don't understand what "respecting what others believe" is supposed to mean. Beliefs are at the bottom of the list when it comes to things that should be respected. Beliefs are the very thing that you should apply rational thinking to. For example, let's say a hypothetical person has a crazy belief that Santa Claus hates blue eyed people and that blue eyed people should be stabbed to death with candy canes, and the reason they believe this is because it has been drilled into their head by people around them, and it is lumped in with other ideas too, in some sort of Christmas-themed cult. The last thing I am going to respect is that belief, I would hate the belief, but that doesn't mean I would hate the person necessarily (who is the "victim" of the "mind-virus"). Walking on eggshells when it comes to these "deeply held" beliefs is just stupid, especially when the beliefs in question are harmful (like the hypothetical Christmas-themed cult).
I've always though the section, "Counter balance this commotion", always sounded like, "Don't go wasting your emotion", from Lay all your love on me by ABBA. It's really cool actually.

Imagine praying in a medieval European cathedral and just as you hear the organ start to fade, the guitar starts blasting this riff from the heavens.
Other Muse song guitar riffs: pretty good
Unnatural Selection guitar riff: pure 24 karat gold
Resistance actually was such a good album. A little too underrated for sure.
Davis A It won a Grammy for Best Rock Album, but among the fans it is really underrated.
i sure hell don't discriminate, every single piece they have produced is just awesome.
+mpre mpre Agreed.
far better than The 2nd Law and Drones

Absolute freaking masterpiece. Too good for my ears.
This shit hits different in 2020
I once played this for class as a part of a project, for whatever reason thinking it was 3-4 minutes long, and the substitute kept trying to stop the song and I was like "hold on it's not over yet"
in hindsight I should've played the globalist
nah, you should've played the entirety of exogenesis
5:51 O-o-ouu-o-chueaaan! A bloody bb4. In full voice. Absolut legend.
Completely forgot about this gem hiding in this album.
+Kieran Schafer
i actually never heard it before, my fav song in the resistance.
yaari mor The chorus is definitely the best part. *We're not droplets in the oceannnn*
ikr... i can't help but sing along
Kieran Schafer What? I thought it was "chocolates"
well, the resistance is a goddamn gem...
except guilding light xD
i listened to this album over and over again while i was reading 1984 from george orwell. I suggest everyone to do the same

Yeah I understand that, instead of George Orwell's book, im reading the World Reformation Novel.
Yeah
Zeena Uandes so many better books but people still only associate that one book to revolution /anti establishment stance. Like READ ANOTHER ONE DAMMIT
Ivan Ovish Because it's a masterpiece.

One of the, or THE, most underrated song of Muse?

And origin of symnetry?
Why aren't you a muse fan???
They're literally perfect

This is one of my favourits guitar riffs from any artist
this song is so much fun on guitar!!!
Is it hard?
Kind of. If you're interested in learning it look up the tabs and if if looks hard maybe get lessons first. :P
Melon Innuendo I've played for two years so i don't think i need lessons. Do you think it's too hard to play?
I'm currently practising the Bat Country solo (Avenged Sevenfold)
If you've played for that long it show be very, very do-able.
...On drums too. I just tried it. xD
I'm making Accountancy homework but it doesn't matters, I always want to blow my ears when I listen this song, without doubt one of the best of The Resistance :D
***** Well, the Exogenesis is not far from being the best too.
Its tune sounds romantic for me and the lyrics are about politics.
Why dont you read the lyrics?
This one of my top ten favorite songs ever.
love it too! the chorus uplifts me somehow
agreed
I can hear so much System Of a Down influence, i love it, such a diverse band.
Except for the fact that Muse actually has a good singer. But yeah my fellow guitarist said it reminded him of SOAD as well.
hahaha Serj isn't a bad singer but Matt is way better haha
Matthew Lyttle It's just my opinion. All I've heard of Serj is awkward yelling, so I guess that biases me
CaptainChocolatePig haha fair enough, it;s not biased at all you've just stated what you've heard :)
Matthew Lyttle the level of maturity and understanding in these posts is absolutely shocking.
That guitar solo...sooo good, Damn it!
That ending is so metallica!
Like something off of Load or Reload. Fucking awesome stuff.
this song gets me SOO pumped cx
me too :p

I haven't listened to muse in a couple years, this is beautiful.
My favorite MUSE song, then HYSTERIA.
thank you for the lyrics, much appreciated.
Shoutout for this legend on 2019!!!
Pretty good song for 2019, esp considering HK protests.
I was hoping to find the "We're not chocolates in the ocean" comment but it's on another video XD

Same here.
Oh shit, he doesn't actually say that? Well looks like I've been singing this wrong lol
3 years late but no, it WAS this video

I just listened to this and I was blown away. I've heard it before, but man this is an incredible song!
I love you, Muse. :')
Great lyrics, well Mr. Bellamy.

What an amazing song, what an awesome band.....
It's such a well done and composed piece of music that I almost forget the message of the lyrics.
Amazing job with the lyrics

Maybe. After all, it's the same album.
it's very political album, so maybe
sono tornato qua dopo molti anni....se penso ai muse mi viene in mente questo pezzo super epico, wow
Super!! very beautiful Muse4ever
Cometly love this album endeed
They do all of their songs are awesome
Awesome Song,
2:37 i dont know why but this part reminds me to System of a down, like some Daron's part of song
also assassin riff
I think its just whatever scale/notes he's playing that has that eastern europe/ southeast asia vibe to it that SOAD uses in a lot of their songs.
Thought the exact same when I was listening today.
That last "Ocean" at 5:51 sounds like it's straight out of a SOAD song.
hehe,that's true :)
PURE EPICNESSITY.
Alloved sound 💐
Trop bon
Epic.
...I like this song. It feels good when it comes from my computer and into my ear holes and into my brain...
I learned to play this on Rocksmith, its one of the best songs on there.

When Matthew says "droplets in the ocean" I can't help but hear it this way
"chocalates in the ocean" Yummy.
- Do you like beach?
- prefer the OooOoOoocean
thanks for your lyrics ;)

can't agree more 😆
i sing like that before i know the lyrics 😄
Anyone get a hint of serj tankian when they sing "oceon"
It does kinda sound like him, yeah.
This song feels like it would be the perfect theme song for Diovolo
I hear a bit of citizen erased in the solo beginning and ending.
The guitar is epic!!!
yes.
Adoro os Muse!!!💖💖💖
I'm actually here cause of EverymanHYBRID.
Got it stuck in my head after watching the 'Sigma' video.
I wish there is also for bass guitar....! :) I love those bass guitar high notes!:)))
1984
Brave New World
It is epic that this is on Rocksmith. Now I have to learn this on the guitar.
I need someone to tell me I'm not crazy but does this song has the same chorus as Lay All Your Love On Me by ABBA ?
Thanks for that, was sure it was an Abba song but couldn't be bothered to identify which one..
Muse at their finest here imo. Holy hell....
I love how the riff sounds like the one on New Born.
Isn’t there a part that sound a little bit like “ Lay all your love on me”(ABBA)?
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
I'm hungry for some omelet xD
We're not chocolate's in the ocean...😂
I think it's rather " I wanna push it beyond a peaceful *pwotest" and "we're not *dwoplets in the ocean" and of course "I want the *twuth"
now, I can't stop thinking this every time I listen to this song xD
We're, not, chocolates in the ocean...
what do you mean? the lyrics in the video are correct.
