When my sister first got this album she refused to let us listen to it (a teenager thing) but she played it very loudly. We memorized the bass line through the floor.
Definitely is a teen thing. Kids don't really like it when their parents/or siblings listening to the same music as them. I guess it's because of the lose of individuality or coolness.
This is the song that got me into Muse and rock/metal music as a whole, and it was also this album that got me picking up bass. Such a great song and amazing album
This is still today the most incredible description of love rollercoaster i have ever listened to. I have memories of a life time on most of theses songs. Especially endlessly which means a lot to me and sing for absolution ! Muse rules!!!
Everyones favorite songs are probably Uprising or Knights of Cydonia but this right here is my new favorite Muse song. First time hearing it too. Metal af.
@@c4bb4g32 awesome songs. Everytime I visit one of their albums I find new favorite songs lol. Their last album blew me away. Algorithm and The Dark Side get to me every time
Knights of cydonia is what got me into them...Absolutely love that riff and the queen-esque vocals, but this is one of my favorite tracks...Funny how when 2nd Law came out, I liked a few songs off of it but didnt think the album as a whole was that great, but after listening to it a few times it slowly grew on me and now its one of my favorite Muse albums. I like every track on it and for me that's rare. Amazing band! Hope I get to see them live one of these days...🙏🤘❤

I return to this song every year or so since I 1st heard it in middle school when I was kind of starting to find my own identity, and I can safely say it's a favorite song of my entire life
rien de vieilli dans ce que vous faites, vous avez été, vous êtes, et j'espère pour très longtemps, vous serez incroyables! ne changez jamais rien à ce qui vous donne ce talent!
Why do some songs on this album sound so murky quality wise? Heck, Origin sounded pristine compared to this album, and it preceded it. Why though? I'm not hating on the music by the way, I love Absolution.
I love this song muse is a good band to listen to in my barber shop I have fun when this song plays I am hamdi by the way I like to cut hair but only boys as I find girls hair difficult also I like that in this song there is different things like guitar and drums and singing I am not sure what other sounds are in it though like the beep beep noise

That chorus is absurdly beautiful sounding.

Watch the rock AM ring version. Holy shit man after years it still gives me goosebumps when he starts smashing it on top of the amp
that entire discography ...
I wish Muse would rip and tear a bit more often...
Fun fact: that's just the main riff slowed down by half
Bradley Blaylock Yeah but it's also played using power chords
This song is so creative, like I can't name any other band that sounds like this lol
Ian Thornley.

I love that angelic chorus...
Track number 5 on the album, I still remember, my favorite when I was young (8 when released) because for me it was the most heavy, haha good times.
Yeah I'm looking that 5 now. After the Sing for Absolution and before the Falling away with you :) Nostalgia, isn't it...

So many feels with this song. There's something about it that fills me with a limerent euphoria.
Yeah I still remember clearly first time listening to this when it came out in 2003. Good memories..
Best song by them hands down. Also, that final riff just never ceases to put a smile on my face!
The guitar work in this song is crazy good 👌
One of Muse's very best easily.
I won't stand in your way
Let your hatred grow
And she'll scream

And she had a name

And I won't hold you back

And we'll fly

On RUclips too

They were just as popular last year. I guess if you’re gonna go back a decade and a half, maybe
They will allways be awesome for us tho :D

If there's a song of theirs that's almost metal, this is it. Almost power metal,to be exact.
Do you know what power metal is?

This is closer to Progressive Metal actually. And yes, I’d call this Metal. Especially with that ending.
