Why is this album hated by some fans resistance is brilliant with songs like united unnatural mk and guiding light (yes i like guiding light) and i belong to you being so underrated
I agree. This is classic muse. The symphonies as well . I can listen to this album front to back no problem.
@@siegedoyle the only album with symphonies track..... why they hating? I think because of Matts voice changed a lot compared to the black hole and revelations era, thats why i think😔
True, this songs are amazing, i love this album, and this song have one the best riffs ever.
Resistance imo is their peak album that they haven't come close to beating.
Who the hell doesn't like Guiding Light?!
Such an amazing underrated song due to alot of people not liking the album.
***** So true :)
Tim Senna Well it's 100 times better than The 2nd Law I think we can all agree. But Muse will always kick ass :D
The only reason I can think of for this and 2nd law being hated by a lot of Muse fans is the fact that they're hipsters. They liked Muse back then and now that they have become a lot more famous they hate them instead of being happy that their favorite band(or one of their favorite bands) has gotten the fame they deserve. And I don't buy that bullshit that it's because they sound so different, every Muse album sounds very different from one another, I honestly think it's a hipster effect.
SnakeEater866 Yeah, tbf I find proper Muse fans are generally ok with that, it's hipster music fans who don't like something because it's successful, kinda sad really
Yeah, pretty much and it's a good thing that they sound different in each album, hell most of their songs in that same album sound very different from each other which is a good thing they have a good variety, and the 2nd law album is a perfect example of that variety, I hate it when every song a band makes sound the same, like with Dragonforce or Three Days Grace.
they need to play this more, Sing For Absolution, Citizen Erased and countless others. I can't wait to seem them live again! Best show ever!
I LOVE SING FOR ABSOLUTION!!!!
The voice crack at 6:17 just about had me in tears this is beautiful
how is that a voice crack hes just singing a higher note
@@BT-cp4lq yeah lol
@@BT-cp4lq it's actually not a traditional note, as it's slightly above the Bb used in the original. But it sounds much better. My current theory for why is that he manages to get the perfect interval for the scale. You see, the notes we use for music nowadays aren't perfect. They allow us to change from one scale to another without tuning the instrument, but it comes with a sacrifice. Only the octave is the correct ratio (1:2 meaning that if A is 440hz, then the A an octave higher is 880hz). Since the note was a little too high, it managed to hit the correct ratio.

hehe, Negative Creep at the beginning :)
I think they have a thing for Nirvana
Thank you Rocksmith, for introducing me to Muse :)
Welcome to this awesome world dude. Enjoy.
Muse is probably the only fanbase that aren't pricks when people are introduced to the band through video games or movies
I heard Hysteria from Rockband but never heard more than that until I found it in Rocksmith in November last year and then found Unnatural Selection and Plug In Baby and became a fan. TY very much Rocksmith :D
they played this in SLC last september. i was blown away. brought a bunch of old stuff out of the bag. Unnatural Selection, Sunburn (which they've played a lot lately), and Butterflies and Hurricanes, and Hysteria were all played in the same show. had they thrown in Newborn or Bliss you could have told me i had died and gone to heaven and i wouldn't have questioned you for a second. incredible show!
Singing when playing Rythm melody.. It's so great!!!!!!!
Belamy so Fucking Amazing!!!!
just learned this song on guitar. it is unnaturally fun to play.
Oooo that Negative Creep intro
4:05 matt makes that part sound even better only by the way he plays it on the ground
The way Matt handles the guitar from 3:55 - 4:32
Sweet Jesus...
My top 5 in no specific order:
- Unnatural Selection
- Soldier's Poem
- Knights of Cydonia
- City of Delusion
- Butterflies & Hurricanes
Solid list, although I think you could pick any 5 Muse songs and I'd say that 😂
Here is proof positive that the Resistance tour did have some great performances!
I soooo love that solo.....
Such a great song 😍
Such an awesome voice....❤
matt bellamy deserves great respect from all those people that say there are better guitarists than him, but i'd like to see them sing whilst playing this riff, yes gentlemen, we are indeed in the presence of a god!
I love this song, so under rated.
absolutely my favourite of the album
Amazing song , amazing Muse !
THE BEST VIDEO. PERIOD.
Perfect... Superb
He's the most improvisational guitarist since Kurt Cobain. I love it
If you're looking for improvisation, then you should check out Jimi Hendrix! Kurt was a great song writer but no time have i've ever seen him bring out a cool lick from nowhere. Allthough i like his smashing of the guitars and the way he just stood on his guitar instead of playing it during a solo ^^
Pontus Trolle I think he just said it, because Matt played "Negative Creep" at the beginning :D
uhhh improvisational? I'm not sure about that, man. I don't think him or Kurt are improvisational at all, actually. Do you mean influential?
wtf?
do you know what improvisation means?
Pontus Trolle both dead.
3:20 - this is how everyone should look while listening to Muse
me muero por ir a un consierto de muse ! ♥
This outro by far is one of the best by Muse of all times!

TEMAZO
@EasygoingBird Thank you very much !
cant wait for them to come to sweden next week EEEPPPIIICCC!!!
My ranking of Muse albums:
1. Black Holes
2. Resistance
3. Absolution
4. Origin of Symmetry
5. The 2nd Law
6. Drones
7. Simulation Theory.
8. Showbiz
Based off cohesion, awesomeness of songs, and consistency. I feel like this is relevant for this video because Resistance gets so much hate, I think not from hardcore fans but from people who are just simps for Origin. I love Origin of Symmetry, but the Resistance is just a perfection on Muse's style and brought to such a grand scale, I love it. If you disagree with the list, fine, but don't do The Resistance the crime of sleeping on it.
Is Mr Bellamy playing the riff from Nirvana's Negative Creep, at the start?
jorge6207 yeap, he did it at reading 2011 too... I'm I'm not mistaken
That ending riff
I love the end :P
4:32 & 5:23 are so damn perfect.
i love muse :3
Did you know that second Muse name is EPIC? Well, of course you knew!
That awesome and epic goosebumps one person gets in hearing the last "...Ocean." at 6:13.
I know that feeling, bro! :D
5:24 la mejor parte, demasiado sentimiento
6:18 Best part 🖤👌🏻🤘🏻
They have the best effing lights.
Oh my god! That voice! AMAZING 4:30
that's it, i'm gonna start playng the guitar again. there's a reason why they got a live-thingy award..
Matt's small mistakes make this one ever more awesome
3:46 - 5:25 I can listen this part all time, especially 4:58 - 5:25 . Beautiful.
Хорошая песенка, удивлён! И музыка соответствующая, респект !!!
i have a hysteria after listening MUSE..after ANY song.
now, i'm not afraid of death, cuz i visited MUSE Live in 2011 in Moscow)
How can he play that riff and sing at the same time. I can hardly even play the riff, and I've been learning it for months now...
Your comment was ten years ago.............you should be quite good by now. ;p
@300daysandnights Yes! I did now and it's ... damn good thing to play! ... the main riff is just ... superfoxyawesome!
These guys conquered the world without bombs and killing.
Yes i still believe that is possible! Only music can do it.
Playing the riff and singing at the same time is quite difficult! Matt is the best! :)
😍🤩👍
Negative Creep at the beggining ❤️
yep
@MrEpile I will check but I'm almost sure there are no live videos from before 1997, except the Battle of the Bands 1994 which is on youtube but in a horrible quality.
My god!!! How can he play those riffs and sing at the same time!?
because hes just that good
6:18 That high note...killed me...Matt...is the best...
at 1:29 thumbs up for the keyboard player who's improvising himself tambourine player and with a great energy!!!

I love the scream of Matt in 4:33
this music is so hard to play on the guitar and he plays sings and improvises O.o
stop at 4:44 and you will see Morgan Nicholls with his 2 awesome kaoss pads :D
so MUSE possesses 3 kaoss pads. (+ matt's)
@Dannypanify 100% right!
