So, to everyone commenting on his pronounciation, the French part is from an opera, and this is basically a cover of that song. In opera, you pronounce French very differently than you speak it. 'Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix' is a French song from an opera called Samson & Delilah by Camille Saint-Saens, a French composer. Check out Maris Callas' version of the song - beautiful. Matt sings it well, though.

I'm Canadian but i live in Quebec so I speak French and English and I can tell you for a British person to sing or even speak in French, it's a challenge. French is my primary language so I can say that it's way harder to learn than english. So please cut him off some slack.
Especially since so many of the notes are long, it is harder to pronounce them. I have only sung French songs for singing examinations (English is my only language, pretty much except for GCSE level French) and holding vowels on long notes is definitely worse. He did a good job, really :)

Muse, your Queen is showing.
i actually went on a research of this song ended up watching a french opera
me too ;)
Well, how was the Opera?
What did you find?
guess we'll have to watch it ourselves :((
@@mrbobjrsrvThe French verse from the song is from a famous opera called Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix from the French opera Samson et Dalila
This song is so inspiring ...it's a declaration of love💗
I'm Canadian but i live in Quebec so I speak French and English and I can tell you for a British person to sing or even speak in French, it's a challenge. French is my primary language so I can say that it's way harder to learn than english. So please cut him off some slack.
dont like french, but its really nicely song. give him creds for it
Especially since so many of the notes are long, it is harder to pronounce them. I have only sung French songs for singing examinations (English is my only language, pretty much except for GCSE level French) and holding vowels on long notes is definitely worse. He did a good job, really :)
Jean-Michel Lalib, French language is great, I wish I could speak it fluently!
T'as raison ahah
This is a pice of art.
This album is beyond amazing.
This song is just... WOW❤
C'est juste merveilleux❤cest un génie ❤
I was like is....that Is.....BASS CLARINET

It's the third day in a row that I wake up with this song stuck in my head, which causes me to come over and listen to it five times or so.
Not complaining.
The french part is sooo coool!!!!!

Oooh i need Muse back in my life
Gonna start playing the cds again...
Proper music
True art...LOVE IT!!!!
You know before the french comes in and he goes you are my mu------- do you think he's going to say you are my muse?
he actually finishes the word "muse" after the french part
No joke, it took me 5 years before I finally realized that. It was mind-blowing and actually managed to make a song I already liked even better!
Yes...
A MASTERPIECE
Samson & Delilah!!! Muse owns the world!!
The album art alone is better sci-fi than half of the stuff Hollywood churns out, and that's being generous to the other half.
Love that “whoo!“ after the French part and right before the clarinet solo.
This is so unbelievable catchy and beautiful at the same time that I forgot to "like" this video the first 40 times I listened to this. This is so something I would have liked to compose and perform. Thank you Muse!
YOU ARE MY MUSE !
I really really like this song
