Very Impressive. My Dad had a 1981 in 2 tone Silver over Dark Blue that He bought on a Whim. We where waiting for his 1976 Country Squire getting oil change & we walked over to Showroom & rite on the Showroom Floor was the Lincoln. Dad Fell in Love as soon as I opened the Driver's door for Dad to Sit in. A few moments later we where at the Salesman's Desk. It was my Dad's 1st ever Car Purchase over $10.000. My Dad had that Car for 10 years till the Day he passed away. I Put a Picture of the car that I took the Day Drove it Home on his 1st Day of Ownership his Dad's Pocket just before he was Buried so that His most Beloved Car will be with him for Eternity.
Love it!! I had a '79 Lincoln Continental Towncar, yes, it had those exact model names in every place! But it was my very first car, all original, moon roof, 8-track, cb, etc... paid $500 for it back in the early 90's, I believe. Just had brake issues and the clear coat had just about all peeled off! Sure wish I had it back! Traded it for a Chevette! Couldn't afford all the repairs it needed and the moon roof jumped off track 1 night and wouldn't fully close! Regrets! But this 1 is gorgeous!!
I JUST LOVE THAT GENERATION OF LINCOLN!. I HAD WAY BACK IN THE DAY A FULLY LOADED 1980 LINCOLN TOWN COUPE. 351 V8 AND THE VARIABLE VENTURIE CARBURETOR. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ACCELERATION. EVERYBODY THAT ROAD IN MY CAR WOULD SAY DAMN THIS THING JETS OFF. 0 TO 40MPH WAS DAMN NEAR INSTANT. DAMN I MISS THAT LINCOLN.
Beautiful example. One thing to note is that red interior & seatbelts do not enjoy being out in sun. Park that car outside 6 months & you'd be amazed how quickly that beauty fades. My point: Only buy this if you expect to keep it garaged most of the time; not for Daily Driving.
I bought this very car in 2015 with 22k miles for $4000 from an 88 year old guy. I sold it in 2018 for $9900. Damn, I should of kept it. He sold it for $25k!!!
@@christianbugatticg and it took me a couple of months to sell it at $9900. I couldn't believe it took that long. Lots of people didn't believe it was a true low mileage car. They of course didn't see it in person. One look in person and you knew 👌
I had one of those Craig from Mills bar and grill and Brandon I had one of those back in 1986 bought it with 20,000 miles sold it a few years ago sorry I did that
Lovely vehicle--you guys are amazing 'car finders,' and, I would love to bid on her...But I haven't the room. The 302 Ford engine speaks for itself, yet in a car like this one, I don't think it's a very good match. This in no way should affect the sale though--good luck, Bill.
I have owned a 82 Mark 6 49k miles for the last 23 years. Would love to have the optional 355 gears! Anyone know the standard gear ratio on these cars?
Last Mark VI I sold brought 17,250, however it was a 4 door Mark VI and it had 37,000 miles and was a one time repaint in blue. This car should do a tick more. I will post the link once it goes live! Thanks!
Hey Ceasar! I am sorry I am just seeing this comment. I usually do not sell outside of Bring a Trailer but I have a gentleman that made me an offer I could not refuse. $25,000
What was the mileage? I paid, $25,000.00 for my silver edition 1983 Mark VI, and I love it🎉😊 ... next time give mileage and price, I would have it shipped in a covered van like I did my Silver Baby ... it came from Wisconsin to me in San Diego, CA 92110 ... I do want to purchase another Mark VI, and after that, hopefully one Mark V ... keep me in mind for next time, o.k.???🎉😊❤
So it will be up for auction on Bring a Trailer, (online auction site) very soon! I guess the market will decide but just sold a 4 door like this with 13,000 more miles for 17,250. I suspect this could do a bit more.
Anyone looking at this that has any cred with old cars would know that those bumper fill-in's go below the bumper and not exposed. I would not buy a car from anyone who displayed a vehicle this way knowingly that it is incorrectly mounted.
Pal, it's not too late to take this comment down. You are 100000% wrong! But yeah, don't buy a car from a guy who goes over every single flaw on cars to be transparent!

The last of the lovely Lincoln’s. I haven’t liked any Lincoln since the 80s.
Great color too!

Thanks!!
