In October of 1991, I bought a 1982 in this same color. It was a well babied one owner with just 75,000 miles. I would go on to have it for 9 years myself, putting an additional 150,000 miles on it. Thanks for this ride down memory lane. 😌

Our friend Dave had on just like the one shown. He installed glass packed exhaust duals. And was in white with white interior. Pristine condition

What a beautiful car! The Lincoln Mark VI series were smooth, nimble and full of technology for that time. Still stylish in a smaller form than the 19 and 20 footers. Love it! Thanks for sharing!

Yes to all of that! I like that they still "look" pretty big!

Lincoln's best coupe! Perfect proportions! The sedan is nice, too. Though I prefer an '89 Towncar for a sedan.

I am more partial to the Mark V, but this is an incredible survivor car! Absolutely beautiful. I started driving during this era, so I noticed everything on the road and this one gets my attention.

I agree. As a daily driver, I’d much rather have the Mark Vi because of its better fuel economy. But as a collector vehicle for car shows, etc…, I’d take the Mark V, especially if it’s a Diamond Jubilee edition. They’re stunningly beautiful. Even by today’s standards. In fact, with today’s sea of look alike SUVs that have very little design language (unless you consider a wind blown blob to be exciting), these Lincoln’s are a real standout. I’m currently in the market for either one of them. I’d put this one on my list IF it had a sunroof, but unfortunately, that’s missing. There’s enough of them around that there’s no reason to just settle for whatever happens to come along. Besides that, I’d rather have the maroon color with the upgraded, crushed velour interior. The Diamond Jubilee comes in either a gold or blue color. Both are gorgeous. I love the incredible amount of detail Lincoln put into these, but they better have, because at nearly $20,000, they were the most expensive car one could buy in 1978. The Diamond Jubilee option alone cost a whopping $8000! But that option certainly upgraded this car like none other. The Mark V had a worthy competitor, the Cadillac Eldorado. But when it came to actual build quality, the Lincoln was way out in front!!

Great looking car that is as good as you will find.
Antenna's rarely work on older cars, lack of use allows the grease to gum up
and the motor clutch just slips, if you are lucky and can grip the tip whilst
someone operates the switch you can get them to free up and lubrcate the
    sections before closing it.
I am sure this one will attract plenty of bidders.

Seem like these are quieter better riding cars than the Mark V's plus better mileage and handling while being just as roomy and luxurious. They are just a bit smaller outside is all. What's not to like!? 😎

These cars didn’t get the credit they really deserved. They’re absolutely beautiful vehicles. Frankly, they’re far prettier than ANYTHING built today.

Maybe I'm forgetting how these work in the Mark VI, but maybe the problem the previous owner mentioned is to do with the Message Center not beeping when you push each button?
Car is in incredible condition. Too bad they didn't order it with the Premium Sound originally.

BEAUTIFUL CAR!. I HAD A 1980 LINCOLN TOWN COUPE THAT EXACT SPEC. BUT MINE HAD A 351 WINDSOR AND A COMPUTER CONTROLLED VARIABLE VENTURI CARBURETOR. THAT DANG THING WOULD LAY 15 + FOOT OF RUBBER FROM A STOP. 0 TO 72 CAME ON REAL QUICK. FUNNY THING YOU SAID IT HAD 13,000 ON IT. MINE HAD 113,000 ON IT WHEN IT GOT TOTALED. THE MECHANICS THOUGHT THERE WAS 13,000 ON IT. I COULDN'T LIE ABOUT IT.
