I know that car very well from 1981 to 1983. But never knew it came as Signature Series. I thouggt that was only on Town Cars as midlevel. Cool.
Obviously not that well!! They made the Mark VI Signature Series from 80-83 and it was a 5k upgrade on the Mark in 80-81. You need to do a little more research. The SS was the ultra highline car.
@@johnrand93 They also had the different designer series. The designer series and the Signature I believe were same price. The Continental also came with the Signature package
The Mark VI Signature Series in 1980-81 was a direct descendent to the Collector’s Series Mark V in terms of over-the-top equipment levels…(padded vinyl decklid hump, color keyed trunk carpeting, etc). For 1982, the Signature Series got a full array of additional colors and also got decontented levels of equipment…and in essence basically replaced what was formerly the “Luxury Group” option, which got discontinued after the 1981 model year.
