Beautiful car. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo was the Luxury coupe that the Chevelle NEVER was. If you were a gentleman that wanted a luxury but somewhat sport coupe, you bought the Monte Carlo.

I had a 73 pinto with the 2,000 cc motor and 4spd. I wish ford had done a better job with the 4 spd, as I would be in 4th gear at 25 mph. I could be in 2nd and skip to 4th. At 55, it would be screaming. 60-65, unbearable. On the interstate, I would put it in neutral and coast downhill. Now I have a (Loaded) focus 5spd. Same problem. I can skip gears easily, and barely get to 70. There were 10 cars on the list of “exploding” cars. 1964 1/2-1966 mustangs, Datsun, Honda and Toyota were also on that list, but only the Pinto was recalled and fixed.

A couple suggestions: Start with the timing lever all the way up, not "1/4 way down" as the presenter said. This is an early 1930 blindback, not very rare. You do not pump the gas pedal. Since the Zenith carburetor doesn't have an accelerator pump in it, pumping the gas literally does nothing. You need to slow way down on your upshifts. That grind from 2nd to 3rd should never happen. Slow down. I suspect you ground the he k out of second on a downshift (not shown). Downshift, you need to double clutch with a stab of the accelerator while the clutch is up between shifts. The Model A owner's manual describes how.

My husband and I have been together for 34 years. We moved in together after 3, we bought our first car together a year or so later. It was a Mercury Tracer wagon. We’ve driven wagons ever since. Today we drive a fully loaded VW Alltrack. After the VW, i have no idea what we’ll have to choose from. I love the Jag SportBrake. How much will it cost to repair by then? Please bring wagons back. I’d love to find a 1987 Ford Taurus. Wishful thinking.

MY Mom bought a late model 1974 Pinto Hatchback 4 spd then I drove it to high school and after to college and after getting married. Took it on several trips.was a pretty reliable car. It was lemon yellow and seeing this Pinto makes me very nostalgic.

Why do the collectors of these vehicles NOT spend any money making sure all the functionality is working? This car is a gorgeous example but yet the previous owner wouldn't spend a few hundred dollars to fix the fuel sending unit, the 8 track tape player and the broken steering wheel woodgrain inserts on the steering wheel?? People think that just because they have a cream puff that they don't have to do any maintenance??? SMH.

You don't see ALOT of these early Seville's(1975-1979) in triple black. It's a pretty rare color combination. I think it looks stunning. I hope they fixed that parking brake light before the sale as that is very annoying.

American racing rims with g/t tires. 8k. It's a great cruiser.that is all you get is cruise from the 305.,I love it I've had so many fast cars. I'm 64.im done with chasing tail lights
