🍪 🍪
Roll the peanut butter in sugar, and also use sugar not flour when you are pressing down the fork
I grew up in a Mexican family….my mom made tortillas and cornbread…and was a great cook….and the only food she ever baked was ham and turkey for the holiday! Lol…I on the other I hand learned to cook and baking became a passion so my kids got to enjoy all the baked goodies!
These are the best cookie's ever make the m all the time. Thank you Martha.
I love watching Martha bake and the recipes are always so good
those cookies are HEAVEN
"If you're a good mother..." lol
This video is a time capsule with its oven that takes 30 mins to preheat, the thick and plastic baking sheet and then the line above 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite cookie! Old fashioned cookies are the BEST!
2:38 "if ur a nice mother"? Geez Martha I'm trying here smh
These are the best. I freeze the dough now I I have it ready. Lol. Kids are my husband and I. Thank you

Thank you! Something without chocolate! It’s really hard to find recipes without chocolate.
Update to my previous post...made these and added Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips and they were excellent! Very flavourful, perfect ratio of peanut butter (I used Jiff), and they are thick and just melt in your mouth. This will be my go-to recipe here on out. Absolutely LOVE them!! Thank you Martha!🙏🩷🙏
THANK YOU MARTHA..I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES..WANT TO TRY THESE ASAP.

my daughter used this recioe and the cookies are awesome😍
Thanks Martha.
Lol "if your a nice mother"
I just made these. I didn't refrigerate them. I baked them straight away and they came out GREAT!!!! I think the fridge will dry them out.
It’s the opposite, actually.
Thank you!!!
I was looking for some reinforcement here before I skipped the fridge myself. ty for comment. she made it seem optional if you wanted to offer the cookies while they're still hot in a time sensitive way. I'm assuming refrigerating is not ideal for anything besides timing temp/freshness...
I grew up without a refrigerator and peanut butter cookies always turned out just fine.
My Mama always rolled the dough balls in sugar before marking with fork. I made them today, but used white sugar, pinch of salt, and cinnamon mixture to roll before baking. SO good!
Great idea for today!
The best peanut butter cookies I've ever had. I didn't do anything fancy. I didn't use unsalted butter or fresh baking soda. I simply used what I had which was real butter and baking soda I had in the fridge and they were great...
Thank you for that!! I have chilled baking soda and no unsalted butter and was wondering if they would come out the same! I found your feedback extremely helpful! (:
I wondered how unsalted butter would make any difference....as she does add 1/4 t. of salt anyway. ??
It's just preference, most recipes call for unsalted butter so that you can control the amount of salt in the recipe.
Me too.. Lol
If you are using salted butter do not add the salt..
I too love these peanut butter cookies 😋
This was a simple recipe easy to follow not so involved thanks Ms Stewart👍
I just made these and they turned out great; I used 1/2 cup brown sugar and they are fine......will be a 'keeper'
Wow its so crazy to see martha so young
I picked out a peanut butter recipe and it was a mess! I found your recipe u saved my day! Thanks!,,
i cant avoid to get hyped to that intro song
Hello everyone.. I just made them... They were good, but I think I'm going to skip the extra 1/2 of cup of flour next time. I like a peanut butter cookie that you can actually taste the ritchness of peanut butter. They were a little more flourish... I was able to make about 32 cookies... Baked at 350 for 15 minutes..
@@Katygirl144 you did go there😂😂😂
I sure wish I read this first. I just finished mixing in the flour!!! :(
I like using 1/2 rice flour and 1/2 wheat flour it makes a lighter cookie.
If you are cooking for gluten free folk's use all rice it makes them really nice.
Lol.

No but I'd love to.
I've never even seen it and the place I get my supplies at has a pretty diverse selection too.
I'll ask them about it the next time I venture out for supplies.

Oh and you do not have to chill the dough!😉 Only if you want to save some for later! 😁
Great and easy
Hello everyone. I made these cookies they are good. But I made another batch and added 1 more cup of peanut butter, brown sugar and I grounded half a stick of cinnamon …. and they tasted very good and they crumbled in your mouth.. soooo delicious.
Thanks Martha!! Just made this with a bit less sugar, and added a little oats. Easy and tasty!!!! :)
Delicious cookies 🍪
The end when she baked a bunch of cookies in a jar, with the music, CLOSE up had me dying. Call the doctor. Please...
Celina Le LoL. She stored the cookies in a jar. Not baked them in the jar. 🙄🙄🙄

I'm trying to remember that black man I learned of in school who did a lot with peanuts. I recollect Dr. George Washington Carver. Now I'm gonna google to double check.
2dasimmons You’re correct!
What a smart man he was!

My mom was a pagan cook--everything was a burnt offering. She bought our desserts at the grocery store. There was at one time a department store in downtown Youngstown that had a little diner on the 2nd floor and they were famous for a Boston cream pie, which is actually a yellow cake with a custard filling and a thick chocolate ganache coating. She would go get one once a month.
This is how we made peanut butter cookies in school
can you bake them immediately or do they have to be chilled
Easy and tasty!!! I add chocolate chips!
THANKS LORNA FOR REMINDING ME..I LOVE CHOCOLATE CHIPS.
J love.baking pies.. cookies ...cakes ..banana nut breads .. making banana pudding......
Correction it's surpose to read I.. not J
I skipped the extra half cup flour like someone else suggested. I didn’t have light brown sugar and used dark brown instead. 350 degrees 12 min. These were SO GOOD. So much better than the Betty Crocker PB recipe!!! Next time I will try it with the light brown sugar and extra 1/2 cup flour.
Agree...I used to make the Betty Crocker pb cookie recipe for years but,not anymore; this one is THE BEST! Will never use any other recipe but this one from Martha!😊
Yup! That is if your a good mom.....
i use sugar to do the criss cross NOT flour!
are this chewy and soft? cut I just saw another recipe and those didn't have flour so I'm wondering 😕
Can you use salted butter?
I have an easier peanut butter recipe!
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 cup of sugar
Combine all ingredients
Scoop tablespoon onto pan
Press down with fork criss cross
Bake @ 350 for 10 minutes
Then voila!!! It's that easy
Yeah but what do they look like and taste like?
Old school cookies, no mixer, lol
Hello dear....please tell me can we store this cookies for a month
My mother never baked anything, not a cake, a cupcake, a cookie, not a thing.
Me too..so i bake for her ☺
Child Abuse...
That is so sad.
This is so sad Alexa play Bon Appetite by Katy Perry
My mom used to bake a “. 1 2 3 4 cake, it was very good
Could u used whole wheat flour
😊
I must have done something wrong g as cookies were too crumbly. I didn't have honey so I substituted no added sugar maple syrup...but I would have thought this would've made more moist?
Hi
Does sifting make them drier? I didn't have sifter so used a whisk. I think I whisked too much because they are too dry. The taste was good though! I can't decide if I should skip the sifting next time, or use less flour. Either would probably help with the dryness.
Sifting flour takes out any clumps and makes the flour fine.
If your cookies are dry try more butter.
I wonder who's recipe Martha swiped this from.
And if you're not a nice mother, tell the rugrats to make their own freakin cookies
I like brown sugar!!!! I'm trying your recipe..
wanted to see how soft or hard these were....
I was given a box of baked peanut butter cookies that are soft, is there a way to turn them crispy? Thank you in advance for your reply. Greetings from Canada
I want that matt who has a link🤔
She didn't say how long to chill the dough...anyone know?
Half an hour.
How much is one stick?
Does anyone have the full recipe
