    the only thing outdated with this bike is the instrument panel. other than that the bike is pretty much timeless

      A shit seat, no fuelmeter, rear mirror sucks, fairings has plastic nobs, first gear klonks like box failing, handleclips 5cm to low, rear break worthless, windsheild wortless to low if you not a midget, lower cowlings deforms by heat from exhaust...otherwise ok bike 😊

      Get out of here, analog gauges are so much prettier to look at than majority of the soul-less digital dashes you see nowadays. Watching that needle go is a great feeling, the digital dash doesnt give me that feeling at all

      I feel its just missing a fuel gauge and gear indicator, that's about it for me. I've owned my 06 blade for 5 years now and I'm always having more and more fun on it even still.

    I like 2007 year better than the 2008, 2008 model the front is huge, but 2017 and up is really nice.

      It's not the front, it's that tiny tail. It throws off the whole look. The only bike I've ever seen that could pull off the small tail was the panigale. After 07 all the CBR's just started shrinking as well. I get the smaller the better, 1000 in a 600 footprint but I like how big the 04-05's and 06-07's look. Super mean

    sorry for late comment, please answer, what rpm should i go on my cbr1000rr for casual riding ? if i go halfway of the max rpm like many say it tends to overheat, and im scared to go too low to not force the engine...i saw you go at about 3500, is lower ok ? or that should be a standard rpm, then set the speed using the gears, and once in a while go to 7-8k rpm to "make it cough" a bit

    • @boingkster
      @boingkster 9 месяцев назад

      @@jelome22it's earthshattering. The 500 you can still pin the throttle a lot of the time on the road - freeway onramps, leaving moderate corners, good B roads etc.
      Forget that on a thou. Anything more than about 1/3 throttle first time will feel like being shot out of a cannon - your brain will struggle to keep up. Full throttle will be reserved for the odd occasion where a max effort is desired and the space and conditions are available.
      They're a huge amount of fun but you really learn throttle control on them, that's for sure.

      @@PlymouthRoadrunner66 you should keep the 954 and get the 07 cbr 1000. my favorite is my 05, I just love the under tail exhaust and I think it still looks sexy. and I still like having hydraulic clutch.

    • @PlymouthRoadrunner66
      @PlymouthRoadrunner66 2 года назад

    • @scarf459
      @scarf459 2 года назад

      @@PlymouthRoadrunner66 I mean you can do some modification depending on what you are trying to do or what type of a rider are you. To me, the 05 weight is necessary because I ride mostly on open roads where I can go fast and have a blast. plus where I live where is usually very windy and having that weight helps a lot. My 08 for instance, it is very fast and light but when its wendy I don't like it. I think it's better to mix it up with newer bikes and older bikes too. if you're about that life. plus I am looking at 2015-16 zx10r . I feel like you just got to have a ninja in the garage.

    04-05 does not look look similar to the 06-07, obvious being of course we all know this..... the horrendous big side fairings on the 04-05! Come on now, everyone knows that ugly side fairing and usually pass it up for the 06-07 when looking for the earlier models before the radical change in design from the 08!
