bought this very same machine yesterday and already i love it so much iam even drinking more coffee now than i ever did lol thanks for good video and your time to explain it all.
Thank you for this video ... I just followed your tutorial to descale my new Magnifica XS for the first time. I know this video is 3 years old now but regarding your wet coffee ground pucks, if it's still an issue, try adjusting your grinder one or two notches counterclockwise (turn knob only when it's actively grinding) for finer grind. I think it'll take a cup or two for the grind change to really kick in. The pucks on my Magnifica XS are pretty solid, i.e. they don't break apart in the tray, and relatively dry.
I have one of the Jura's that is easily double the price right now. It performs the same as yours. Moisture and all. I have run mine for 4+ years with no issues. We have noticed prefiltering the water with a Brita and just resetting the filter works great. Dont need to clean as much. Thanks for the review, looking for 1 for another house.
how is your coffee machine now?how often do u service your machine(i mean do u need to bring to delonghi svc centre to change the o rings, grease it etc2)? im planning to get one but 1st need to make sure that i make a correct choice.
Thank you for watching my video. So far, I never took my machine to delinghi svc centre or change o rings, grease, etc. I’ve been using it for 3 years and 4 months
@@JoeKnowTech thanks for the reply.that is good. i have 2 choices in my mind(philips or delonghi). most of my friends recommended delonghi due to reliability , durability & after sales service(availability to get spare part). may be i'm gonna get either this model or 250.33 tb.
I had my magnifica S for 8 years before i had to put in new O rings and grease it. The pump have died (almost 10 years old) and finding replacment parts is impossible. gonna buy a new one :)
I used to work at Starbucks, our machines costs thousands and their mechanism is pretty much the same. There will always be a little bit of water is the grounds drawer
I bought the machine yesterday on amazone It's new and sealed but grounded coffee inside. Is that normal? Also followed all instructions but the part where the machine supposed to rinse nothing comes out And when it says ready I chose single americano, it makes all the noise grind the coffee beans then drop then down to the mini tank but no coffee comes out Do you think it's faulty and I should return it Thanks
You do all that work and someone remarks on your grammar? English is obviously not your native language, you did an excellent job! Thanks for the review. Question: When you make a double café longo/Americano do you not add any milk or cream to your coffee? You do like strong coffee. I'm surprised you don't just have a double espresso. :)
Thanks for positive comment. While I apprecite criticism, positive remarks are always upbuilding. I enjoy Americano con crema but my day always starts with Americano with breakfast. I choose double espresso when I drink coffee without food but I want something with volume that I can sip coffee with every bite so I choose Americano. If you wanna ask why not have like 8 shots in a cup, I tried 6 cups of doppio shots on the first day to find optimal grind/strength for me and I felt heart palpitation
Grinder setting seems too coarse. As s result, the coffee is running too fast. Finer grind will get you better extraction and the pucks will not crumble as much. I keep mine around 2-3.
@@eduardacorreia689 I would max intensity settings. Also, check if the grounds are fine enough. Finally, the coffee itself matters. Robustas will taste watery.
Thank you for watching. I paid $499.99 at Costco on 6/30/2018. Delonghi official website shows this model is out of stock but maybe some retailers still have them
Thanks for your input. I don’t add milk to my coffee so I dont use steamer so I forgot to bring up steamer. I’ll learn how to make good latte and post another video when ready. Thanks

Sounds like you have faulty product that was returned by someone. I'd return it right away and get a new one. Thank you for watching
Really appreciate your advice and such a quick answer

Still going strong? Any maintenance or part replacement after few months/years?
Yes, it’s still going strong! All I’ve done is to descale and cleaning

C'est du jus de chaussette pourquoi mon café sort de la même façon que de l'eau, comment faire pour avoir un café bien concentré.. Merci
Bonjour, merci d'avoir regardé ma vidéo. Qu'entends-tu par jus de chaussettes?
Good man well explained 😊

Thanks for your suggestion, I’ll try 3 also
I took your advise and changed to 3 and it does make difference! Thanks a lot
Hello :)
I have the same machine but the coffe is coming out very "watery". Any suggestion to change that?
@@eduardacorreia689 I would max intensity settings. Also, check if the grounds are fine enough. Finally, the coffee itself matters. Robustas will taste watery.

well told and presented video thank you from France
How About fhe price?

@@JoeKnowTech 500 $USD? or $CAD?
@@MrTC-rv3jo sorry USD
The pucks on my 14 year old magnifica have ZERO water. Which means the pressure is higher in the better ones extracting more creama
Thanks for pointing it out. which model do you have and what's your setting?
How much did you pay for it? Im asking to make sure I'm paying fair. Thanks
Shanna thank you for watching. I paid $499 at costco.com
YOU SHOWED EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE PART OF THE STEEMER WORKING AND ITS RESULTS???
Thanks for your input. I don’t add milk to my coffee so I dont use steamer so I forgot to bring up steamer. I’ll learn how to make good latte and post another video when ready. Thanks
Its not americano, it was double long espresso, if you want Real americano you need to put hot water to espresso
I meant cleaning the infuser behind the water tank
Keith Lloyd thanks for watching. I know it's a little tricky to get it out at first. I'll try to find time asap
