This was extremely helpful! All the other videos I watched did not mention that the machine paused for so long between cycles. I had always assumed it was finished and would be surprised when I turned my machine off and then back on and the light would be blinking again. Thank you for explaining this.

Everytime I turn my machine on and I select a coffee setting my machine lets out water from the lines before making the cup of coffee or espresso. Is this normal? Is it just cleaning out the lines ? I feel like I need to refill my tank quite often. Thank you for your response.

Oh no, sorry to hear that you're having that problem. I haven't heard about that problem before. I'd make sure all buttons are not stuck and clean infuser area and try to adjust coffee mill and coffee taste knobs and see if there's any difference in amount of water. sorry I don't have an answer but it sounds better than pump not working at all

Hello, thank you for watching my video. I’m no expert but I googles and see that RO water will eliminate the need to descale. However, you might want to check if your machine has any copper or brass tube in it since RO water can be corrosive when it touches Copper or Brass
1. Deacale process in this sequence: 2. Normal power on cycle 3. Power off 4. Empty the trays 5. Put back trays 6. Remove water holder 7. Remove the filter 8. Add descaler solution 9. Fill the rest with water, until the first line 10. Put back the water holder 11. Put bowls in place 12. Turn on the machine 13. Long press red flashing light 14. Turn steam knob all the way on (cycle 1) 15. Wait 20 minutes, until water holder is empty 16. Turn off steam knob 17. Empty the bowls 18. Refill water holder, until the first line, then put it back into the machine 19. Replace the bowls 20. Turn on steam knob (cycle 2) 21. When all the water is used, turn off the steam knob. 22. Empty the bowls 23. Refill water holder, until the first line, then put it back into the machine 24. Replace the bowls 25. Turn on steam knob (cycle 3) 26. When the steam light flashes, turn off the steam knob. The red light should now be off. 27. Remove the water holder, replace the filter 28. Refill water holder, until the second line 29. Put back the water holder 30. Put back the bowls 31. Power off the machine 32. Remove and empty the bowls 33. Fill up the coffee beans holder
Some say when it ask for water - turn off the left knob - some say just replace the water in the tank. Maybe different models have different sequense 🤔 Mine Magnifica S expels water from both outlets during descale. It only clears light if i toggle the left knob when refilling.

Hi Joe I tried again but did not work. I might have to get some Delonghi descale and try again to descale. The Delonghi descale is not available. Will have to import it

I read that according to DeLonghi the descale should last three months. I use filtered water and they indicate that descaling should likely not even be required, yet the descale light comes on about every ten days after cleaning. Any ideas? This seems ridiculous.

Are you saying you've followed descale process for 10 times and still not working or was the machine going through rinsing cycle for 10 times for 1 descale cycle?
Toma Madalin I would think you can do it without the solution if you just wanna turn off indicator light but if you wanna use it for long run, why not use solution and maintain the machine?

Timothy mine is like yours mine comes out from middle as well please if anyone knows why can you tell us because the decale light keep flashing after descale
@@amd313 same here comes out the middle as well and the whole proces goes faster. It's done within 20 minutes and light is stil flashing after cleaning.

They say you need to close the steam off from time to time and it's necessary to descale other parts of the machine but at the same time doing that you interrupt the process and it causes the light to blink after it finishes. So after following the RUclips instructions one time, what I did, following the instructions of a very kind lady of Delonghi customer service, was start the process again (using just water) without closing the steam until the water tank is empty, and then rinse twice with water until the pump quits on its own. The machine has to be on all the time. That reset the light for sure"
Great Video, Thank you, I get the red light flashing every 10-12 days ( about 30-50 cups) Not sure but I think that is a little excessive for descaling particularly as I only use filtered water.
@@JoeKnowTech Picked up last November and love it, although it flashed every 2 weeks, I think I have worked it out that the water hardness was set to high, I have adjusted it in the set up and will see how long before it flashes again :) The up side is that I have descaled it thoroughly every 2 weeks since I have had it. Then the sulfur water comes through the coffee spout. You can’t do full drain from the spout like the steam pump does, so it’s harder to get rid of chemical from the tube

Red light indicator is telling you that it's time to descale. If you've done the descale process and red light still lights on, I'd suggest you to follow the instruction again with just clean tap water again. Thank you for wathcing my video

Thank you for watching my video but I couldn't figure out why your machine isn't going through rinse cycle. If that happened right after descale, maybe check the machine to make sure the steam dial knob is in the right place at off position. I'd try cleaning infuser and surrounding area, and if that doesn't work, redo the descale cycle without descale solution (just water only)and see if that helps. sorry I've never heard anyone with same trouble so I don't have answer to that
You should absolutely not use any kind of acid (sour) cleaning agent. It's clearly stated in the instruction booklet. It could ruin all the "rubber" /silicone seals in the machine!

If you just press the button in the middle (the one with the led) it pours like a cup at the time through the coffee tap and not the milk frothing tap, just repeat it.
Buy ordinary Citric acid powder at the mart, you will find it in the spice department. Add 2-3 tablespoons and water up to the b-mark and run the program as usual, just be sure to really dissolve the Citric acid powder.
I use this same process and I use filtered water yet the darn descale light comes on about every ten days....go figure. Anyone else have a similar reaction?
That's strange, did you happen to do the first cycle and leave it on for long time after all the water has been dropped? Anyways, I'd try to do the cycle again with just water only if that happens to me.

I would advise you to repeat this same step but this time, use plain water instead of the descale solution

29. Put back the water holder
30. Put back the bowls
31. Power off the machine
32. Remove and empty the bowls
33. Fill up the coffee beans holder
Not sure where you got the steps but #3 power off doesn’t sound right to me

After descaling my red descaling light continues blinking. How do I reset the descaler blinking light?

I'd try cleaning infuser and surrounding area, and if that doesn't work, redo the descale cycle without descale solution (just water only)and see if that helps. sorry I've never heard anyone with same trouble so I don't have answer to that
Is there alternative to the solution ? Like white vinegar perhaps.

You should absolutely not use any kind of acid (sour) cleaning agent. It's clearly stated in the instruction booklet. It could ruin all the "rubber" /silicone seals in the machine!

If you just press the button in the middle (the one with the led) it pours like a cup at the time through the coffee tap and not the milk frothing tap, just repeat it.
Buy ordinary Citric acid powder at the mart, you will find it in the spice department. Add 2-3 tablespoons and water up to the b-mark and run the program as usual, just be sure to really dissolve the Citric acid powder.
I use this same process and I use filtered water yet the darn descale light comes on about every ten days....go figure. Anyone else have a similar reaction?
Also my machine during the second time with clean water it drops the water from the middle and not from cappuccino nozzle
That's strange, did you happen to do the first cycle and leave it on for long time after all the water has been dropped? Anyways, I'd try to do the cycle again with just water only if that happens to me.
@@JoeKnowTech no I was next to the machine and I did the process how you explained but nothing the light is still on and the second cycle all three times comes out from the coffee nozzle and not the capuchino nozzle. Anyway thanks and happy new year
