    This was extremely helpful! All the other videos I watched did not mention that the machine paused for so long between cycles. I had always assumed it was finished and would be surprised when I turned my machine off and then back on and the light would be blinking again. Thank you for explaining this.

So after following the RUclips instructions one time, what I did, following the instructions of a very kind lady of Delonghi customer service, was start the process again (using just water) without closing the steam until the water tank is empty, and then rinse twice with water until the pump quits on its own. Do you just fill the water tank with solution and water and turn the steam knob and push the bottom center little black button even if it isnt flashing descale? I just picked one of these up from a neighbor's driveway and a sign said it is still working, so I've cleaned it and want to begin determining if it is all in working order. Can you tell me why is the light stays on the red light?

      Red light indicator is telling you that it's time to descale. If you've done the descale process and red light still lights on, I'd suggest you to follow the instruction again with just clean tap water again. Thank you for wathcing my video

      @@JoeKnowTechhello 😊 I just picked up one of these machines for free from a neighbor's driveway with a sign that said 'STILL WORKING'! It looks to be in great shape. But I need to test it etc. I plugged it in and it isn't giving me any indicator light that it needs to be descaled. QUESTION ❓ Can I fill it with water and run it through the machine to the cappuccino maker just to see if it works? How can I get water to just run through the machine to see if it is working? (There was no user manual...). Thanks!

    After descaling my red descaling light continues blinking. How do I reset the descaler blinking light?

      Im sorry to hear that. you need to do the process over but this time, just use water instead of descale solution

      I'd unplug cable, replug after 2 minutes and try to descale again

    why does my red light keep flashing even after cleaning? All the time

    Great video but after i complete the process the red light goes off- but when i turn the machine off it does not go through the rinse cycle anymore, why would that happen? It makes coffee still but when i turn it on or off it goes directly to the green lights without the rinse cycle happening- please help

      Thank you for watching my video but I couldn't figure out why your machine isn't going through rinse cycle. If that happened right after descale, maybe check the machine to make sure the steam dial knob is in the right place at off position. I'd try cleaning infuser and surrounding area, and if that doesn't work, redo the descale cycle without descale solution (just water only)and see if that helps. sorry I've never heard anyone with same trouble so I don't have answer to that

    Is there alternative to the solution ? Like white vinegar perhaps.

      I’m not aware of alternate solution but I’d love to find out

      You should absolutely not use any kind of acid (sour) cleaning agent. It's clearly stated in the instruction booklet. It could ruin all the "rubber" /silicone seals in the machine!

      @@bengtmowitz5012hi 😊 do you know if I can just run a tank of water through the machine to see if its working? What button or lever would I push to make the water run through the machine and go out the cappuccino spout? Thanks 😊

    • @bengtmowitz5012
      @bengtmowitz5012 11 месяцев назад

      If you just press the button in the middle (the one with the led) it pours like a cup at the time through the coffee tap and not the milk frothing tap, just repeat it.

      Buy ordinary Citric acid powder at the mart, you will find it in the spice department. Add 2-3 tablespoons and water up to the b-mark and run the program as usual, just be sure to really dissolve the Citric acid powder.

    I use this same process and I use filtered water yet the darn descale light comes on about every ten days....go figure. Anyone else have a similar reaction?

    Also my machine during the second time with clean water it drops the water from the middle and not from cappuccino nozzle

    • @JoeKnowTech
      @JoeKnowTech  2 года назад

      That's strange, did you happen to do the first cycle and leave it on for long time after all the water has been dropped? Anyways, I'd try to do the cycle again with just water only if that happens to me.

      @@JoeKnowTech no I was next to the machine and I did the process how you explained but nothing the light is still on and the second cycle all three times comes out from the coffee nozzle and not the capuchino nozzle. Anyway thanks and happy new year
