Hi buddy, I kinda went down the rabbit hole with my busso a couple years back spraying bits of the engine, after much trial and error here's what I found: If you want to spray aluminium, you need to get phosphoric acid to etch first, apply it with a brush to clean castings, if you want shiny alloy, wash off after about 60 seconds. If you want a base/primer alloy to dry to black oxide. You can then spray ANY paint on the part and it'll stay stuck, might discolour but it won't flake. If you do use high heat paint, DON't use etch primer etc. on part before the high heat, heat up the part in oven/stove top, if you smear some wax crayon on it, when the crayon mark starts disappearing, remove from heat, you won't mess with temper etc. as it'll be well below 250 degrees celsius. Spray the part while it's warm as the high heat requires curing as they're usually ceramic infused/based paints and initial grab via heat is imperative.
Nice. Thanks
Nice to see it approaching completion.
Yeah it's been a good few years now.

You can actually use vinegar to soak rusty bolts , works a treat eats away at rust. Just be careful in summertime with the wasps ! 😂
Punto is looking stunning man, will be one of if not the best in the country when you are finished. Nice tip running those fixings through a cable tie 😁👍

Bearings in the throttle body are probably standard bearings, available from a bearing supplier.
Bostons Of Milford. Just the other side of Stafford from me.
Nice update, car is looking good!
Looking good
this turbo was rebuilded, on stock unit, there is not that blue plakett
refurbish now it with an 40-42mm GTX compressor wheel, to have more airflow over 5k rpms too
the standard unit just cant hold the pressure over that
I am looking forward to the final reveal.
Tenho como recuperar um motor passo-passo de um alfa 145 1.4 16v? A marcha lenta está instável.
What suspension is this using? I want to put mine back to original height or near abouts without sacrificing ride quality
These ones are getting hard to find
Just one thing, the hottest part of the flame of a blow torch is at the tip of the flame. Just saying...
The tip of the blue flame…
