- It was nice to finally take the Grand Prix to the Dyno it has been a waiting game to get in for a tune but now that she is finally drivable I can't wait to take her to the drag strip and see what she will do.

Hey Dave, If you want to weld outside, use flux-core wire. I do my welding outside with flux-core and I don't have any problems with the wind. A lot of people don't like flux-core, but there's nothing wrong with it for casual use. I built my trailer with it and no issues.
Stick welding is how you weld in the outdoors. It's a lost art these days to weld with just 2 cables and no gas.
@@johnsnow1355 I also do stick welding with thick material, but it's pretty hard to weld sheet metal with a stick welder, so that's where flux-core MIG welding comes in. It's just like stick welding, no gas to worry about. I built my shed frames with 1.2mm (0.0472") steel framing material with my small flux-core MIG welder also.

That stock intake and throttle body is definitely ur issue it is choking it!! Go with a ls6 or ssr intake and or ls2 ls3 throttle body for more power
Sounds like the exhaust set up could be part of the "choking up" culprit.
It’s that intake people buy the zzp and others it’s a simple setup to get more power mines stock gtp and I beat zzp’s but my intake is setup totally different
It’s the ls4 Intake. Do a dyno of the intake before the turbo. Just so we know

Dave, not sure if anyone’s mentioned it before but one of camera mics always clips during speech. I thought it was my head phones and it’s volume at first but even after a change out from KZ Pros to Sony WF1000 XM4 I still hear it. Not a big deal though, love your content. Can’t wait to see that Green in the sunshine

Definitely sounds good and is running amazing! As mentioned, the exhaust is going to help quite a bit. Not sure what the compression ratio is, but pretty sure that's why the numbers are kind of low. That will change soon I'm sure.

It dosent matter what noise it makes, it's gotta have air flow through the engine for it to run properly standard exhaust want let much through design to reduce power and noise, hope you get it sorted, all the best to you and your loved ones

We know he is a good tuner and the turbo was bad to begin with, but it didn't come across that way. Lol.

When u get the converter to lock it'll make more power

Looking good. Best thing next to getting the car running perfectly is cleaning up the wire mess on the passenger side.
With the Tesla motor going to the rear, will the exhaust have room to stay in stock location? Or are you rerouting under passenger rear doors like the Vipers/G-wagons?

@@fiercepierce123 Factory Is LS4 5.3. It Says LSX In Title Which Is A 7.0. Those Have Different Bell Housing Bolt Patterns.
I believe he is calling it and lsx because this project is a 3rd done... ls4 with northstar trans./then a turbo/ then he has a rear drive unit from a tesla x thats going under the rear. Will be a hybrid all wheel drive.

ls9 is a 7.0 LSX refers to all ls engine or at least it used to

This guy is actually a loon lol the fact that he still has the stock intake and TB on his GXP is insane, he’d be well over 300 wheel if he fixed that and you gotta get rid of the hot air intake. Stuff that filter down in the fender where it can actually suck cooler air.

@@Junkyard_Dave the difference between LSx and LSX, LSx is to classify “LS1 thru LS7” but LSX is a 7.0L Race version of the LS7, not the LS4.

You are seriously expecting 400 horsepower out of the stock LS4 intake manifold? Literally, the worst flowing intake manifold available for an LS platform... You should probably look into a different hobby since this is obviously not for you....
