The one thing I really love about your channel is that you not only see the versions of the cars that should have been made but you actually do the research and do the builds the right way and don't just throw them together. You look at form as well as function. Thanks for another well informed video.
You'd better stock up on that oven cleaner before they change the formulae to low VOC like the crap we get here in Australia now. The old oven cleaner would easily strip paint, but the new stuff won't even remove dirt.
I have used oven cleaner for a very long time on greasy projects. Makes it much nicer for working on things. Love that you are putting time into a grand prix also. There was a time when people laughed at us GP owners for modifying them and now we have record holding cars.
Great video and perfect audio might i add! Please do us all a favor and share some info about the tools and products you use that you show to work so well. You may even be able to get some of them to endorse the videos just for sharing great tricks of the trade. No fancy dry ice machine here and still great results.
Who is taking bets the drive train is not coming out of the Durango ha ha. He is having way too much fun to take apart a running vehicle for the magnum project.
I used oven cleaner on some old rims (the paint was already shot) and it worked astonishingly well. Can't believe you're spraying it bare handed though! Your skin is ironclad! XD
There are three types of oven cleaner basically. Caustic, Acidic and Enzyme. Don't leave the Caustic one to sit on alloy for very long (it eats it) and don't expect it to look nice and shiny when your done
There's another type of oven cleaner that we have here in Australia now, it's called "useless". They changed the formulae to low VOC and it won't even remove dirt now. The old stuff would remove paint, but this new stuff is just useless.
I think you should build a rock bouncer out of the Tesla equipment!! That would rock ?? I’m sure no one has done it !! I definitely would if I had that equipment!! And you do awesome work Dave!! I know whatever you do you will do it over and over till it’s right!!
Dave, please do us a favor and don’t use anymore clickbait titles. Your content is already awesome, you don’t need to piss people off like that just to get views.
Surprised to see you moving the Durango so much like that. You seemed so concerned about it being loosey-goosey if you took all that structural material out.

I'll avoid LS swap if were you because LS swap has been done on almost all cars, trucks & boots which will be normal project with a quick solution swap Please Don't do it and keep it with hemi I enjoy your videos and deep knowledge and try to brake LS swap with something interesting
@@Junkyard_Dave Assuming they are equivalent to the 4L60/65 rear drive, we were building those to handle 900 horse boosted LT1's all the way back in the late 90's. Less weight than the 4l80 and cheaper to build.
I can't believe you're putting an LS in a brand new Durango the engine that's in it there's nothing wrong with it it it makes no sense I'm over the Durango build now I will no longer be following along on the Durango build I'm not watching them anymore
It is a shame that you are killing the value of a Dodge Durango with a LS swap ,everybody thinks LS is the ticket and it isn't a old billet designed 426 Hemi that is built to kill off LS GM junk is better, if it is Mopar why not keep it pure? That is like taking a Ford and putting a GM motor in it ,it to me is worthless and I would never buy a Ford with a GM motor or a Mopar with a pitiful LS swap, hey are so common and they are being done at random due to being cheap, and they are everywhere in all kinds of modified swaps ,so why not be more innovative and upgrade a old style into a kick ass monster, you have all of the resources you need why not?"
You are quite the knowledgeable builder and love your no nonsense approach. Absolutely awesome person! Please keep these videos coming. Thank you

Super dave!!! Keep up the good work. I like to view your videos because you don't cut corners.

Great plans. Work the plan.

Nice work. Seems like forever since you started this project! Trans really is going to be better!
The idea of an AWD Grand Prix caught my attention 😁
OVEN CLEANER FOR THE WIN BOYS!!!!!!!!!! love tips like that bc its those type of things that make doing projects that much nicer.
Amazing how you keep track of all these projects.
Nice clickbait title.
love it!
Great builds love watching your videos. FYI 4T80 is ft wheel drive “transverse” 4L80 is rear wheel drive “Longitudinal”
This Grand prix is going to be badass!! 😇
Man I'd love to see you fab a wide body kit on that Durango

@@BrucePierson try automatic dishwasher powder, the cheap stuff turned into a slurry with hot water paint it on let it soak then scrub and hose off.
There was someone who was selling with upgraded 4t60e components.
The next weak link is the flex plate. They crack and break.
Would love to see you attempt the 6t70 from the Saturn trucks

Mixin it up as usual. Great work Dave..
Nice one mate
I’ve been thinking about doing this with my Durango
Yes sir
Never knew they could hold that type of power
Just wondering what arrangement you have with the junkyard that you can use one of their bays?
I’ve oft wondered the same.
Hes the owner

thoughts on putting your Telsa motor in an 80's G-body like a grand prix or Regal? i think that'd be different and cool.
It will fit too. Half the battery pack up front and the rest in that huge trunk lol
Just curious do you have and 80’s model square body interior parts in that yard of yours
Now we need to swap a bone stock b18 into a Lambo😁
If that caddy has night vision you should try to rig it up to a car and do some night time Rips with just a night vision system no lights.
Dave, you a superman bro
One thing you didn’t mention about the oven cleaner is don’t breath the fumes they are really nasty.
Wait your using a north star ls? I own a Cadillac DTS 06 and they fixed the head issue 06-11
Surprised to see you moving the Durango so much like that. You seemed so concerned about it being loosey-goosey if you took all that structural material out.
Ha, The title was silly I knew better from the get go! ☺️✌🏻🇺🇸
Doesn't look like a Durango vid!
The Magnum not going to SEMA?
Dave, I'm extremely curious on how you're going to synchronize the front and rear drives, so one doesn't overtake the other.
@T H apparently you are new to his channel. He will finish it. It's actually amazing that he can juggle ALL his projects at the same time.
Is that oven cleaner trick safe on wires and plastic?
I’ve never had a problem with it. However, it’s been a few years since I’ve used it.
I miss my 3.8 base 05 Grand Prix
So you're taking out the thing that makes it a hellcat?
It’s Clickbait no one in there rite mind would do that

Oven clean can be corrosive to aluminum.
So your gonna steal the AWD drive train from a mini van like a Montana or venture right.
Did you upgrade your camera?
What part of Colorado are you in? I'm in Colorado now visiting from Delaware
Pueblo
@@Junkyard_Dave I'm in Grand Junction right now
Carbon Fiber Grand Prix???😳👀
Will the transmission fit in my 2006 impala ss if I get it tho??
Umm hell no!!!!
You junk that rare mopar with a Generic Motor Crap LS boat anchor and I'll scream
Will the 80E tranny fit in a 3800 sc swapped fiero?
Out here with the click bait I see
Great content, but, the tick tick tick from the music is enough to drive me nuts.
Don't put Chevy anything in that Durango. That would be beyond sacrilege.
It’s click bait

Don't swap engine on Durango please live it lake that!!!
Confused over the video title
Don't swap the cat fr
Can you sell me the xbox one x what was under charger?!
