These Benny Videos have been some of the absolute best I've seen. He's so chill and polite but still has the eyes of a warrior you can see why he dominated.
Now I see why Hongkong kung fu cinema took such a liking to him in their films, let alone him doing so well chemistry wise in keeping up with the famous Jackie Chan. He was even able to do one last kung fu flick in the late 90's with Bruce Lee's daughter Shannon and was still able to perform most of his own stunts! The martial art philosophy dedication right there!
I liked the part of Benny talking about his training methods...the 6:00 in the afternoon 'Meditation' is something i never thought of. Everything is more Mental than physical and I think he trained the right way! I gotta try that to see what happens.
Because of the movies I grew up with as a kid(Dragons Forever, Wheels on Meals, Grosse Pointe Blank etc), I was terrified of Benny the Jet! He was like this martial arts supervillian to me. But thanks to the internet, i've come to see how great he is and how happy I would have been to train under him! Your content with him has been awesome, probably the best interviews i've seen with him so far🥋
Thank you for this interview Viking Samurai! Sensei Benny truly embodies the concept of holistic in the martial arts. His philosophy, especially on dealing with negative emotions, is so deep. And it is proven through his real life fighting experience. Sensei Benny is the definition of a martial artist.
Hello, Viking Samurai. I've been a fan of Benny for many years, but I didn't realize how cool he is. Very down to earth, full of wisdom and intelligence, he has a special kind of Martial Arts IQ. I'm loving this interview. TERRANCE OUT
The Ukidokan philosophy is truly deep and hearing Benny speak, I can tell you this, I can listen to this man speak for hours. He's a very wise like no other. Thank you for this interview VS.
Great videos on Sensai Benny! Wow truly a humble martial artist and man. I thought Scott Atkins got good info about him, but you managed to get more! Vastness of knowledge of time and experiences. I can't believe he's still training and teaching in his age. Keep up the good work Sensai Benny OSU!
Oh man i remember benny on wheels on meals that iconic fight between him and jacky chan, this is a true legend, you are the best Viking Samurai true warrior!
BENNY i had your book as a kid and you were such an amazing teacher helped me so much. These mma people have no idea how much of a revolutionary you are man. So underrated. I wish one day i could meet you and train with you!
These interviews are pure gold. Benny the Jet is a LEGEND, I'm a lifelong martial artist and of course revered him growing up (I'm 47). Good stuff samurai!!!
I didn't get to physically train with him. But I've sat and watched a Benny The Jet seminar. Videos don't do him justice. Seeing that energy and watching how well he moves in person was something I'd never experienced before through previous Martial Artists.
I completely understand what he means by letting his body respond to rhythm and using different bags for different rhythms. I do the same thing when hitting the bag. I use the tear drop bag to train footwork, head movement and defense, along with clench work and what wrestlers call “using your head” pushing my forehand into the bag and digging into uppercuts to the body. The big heavy bag is for sitting down on punches and generating power. And different music makes me move differently, and it sometimes looks like I’m dancing cause I am. Great interview!
Benny could and would have excelled in any combat sport in general he was that way ahead with his training and mental acuity such a pleasure to listen to him talk.
Brilliant. Was a competition cross country runner at school and he is spot on. People don't know how to run. Different breathing effects, different uses of the mind, a technique called fartlek hill training etc. It creates that supreme endurance. That's why boxers do so much running
Benny is a Wizard he is just so knowledgeable this is so very deep and powerful his understanding of life of movement and training is just exceptional. What a gift this interview is 👍🤜🔥👊
Benny's discipline and meditation technique is inspiring - Also the equipment he has created such as the fight helmet was really intriguing and made a lot of sense. I am really looking forward to seeing that line of equipment come out. Thank you for the amazing content Viking Samurai 🏯
Amazing interview Viking Samurai!! It makes me wish I could train with this legend! I wanna read his books now, Sensei Benny ''The Jet'' Urquidez has a great understanding of martial arts👏👍
Yes yes and yes. VS, your interview technique is the best out there. The information you derive from your subjects is by far above and beyond. Benny Sensei is such an amazing man I have been fortunate enough to meet, speak and train with. And you have far superseded any other RUclips interview in Today's world.
“Training and Fightting Skills” A book put together by Mr.Urquidez…picked it up back in the mid 80’s. A great source of information and inspiration…read it till it fell apart.
His fight with Jackie Chan in the movie meals on weals is one of the best I ever sow and the best by many. He made Jackie Chan earned that money Big Time. I wish that he had more movies.
The most interesting part is that Sensei Benny The Jet and Rickson Gracie, both has the same qualities that is "the power of breathing" and "spiritual insight". Both are very mesmerizing when they are talking.
Sensational Interview, very informative. Truly a Legend and a great teacher. Thanks for posting this. You are doing a great job my friend. All the best to you.
I love Benny the jet. I had all his videos back in the early 90s and learned a ton from him. I remember he had a segment on hand wrapping for punching the heavy bag. Man this was a great interview! I love the content on your channel great work.
I've been watching all of your videos mate. Benny is just the best, humble, smart, ridiculously skilled and to compliment all of those things, Benny has the best and by far the most believable stories of any man on earth. I reckon that he is an alien ninja sent from god to put right the wrongs of all us bellends, who are reliant on social media.
Wow. During my long running days I never knew there was a name for breathing. Begging of my running I felt like breathing vertical but after my second wind, man!, I felt Like I could run for ever. I guess I was breathing horizontal. Good stuf can’t wait to hear about the equipment. 👍
I remember this guy fighting Jacky Chan and he was super fast, now it all makes sence wow this guy is amazing great job on your channel interviewing all the greats
Benny was a great fighter and champion. Though like many fighters he is reluctant to talk about his few losses (including twice to Thai boxers and getting KO'd) and happy to maintain a pretense of zero losses. His own official site has his record at ''63 wins, 57 knockouts and 0 losses'' = complete B.S.! A few losses does not detract from his legacy.
I love these interviews Viking samurai man. I am surprised the legend wasn't called "Benny the monster uriquidez" back in the day. You see the way he describes the martial arts and where it came from his sensi's. No body can tell me that martial arts didn't come from war. When Benny said he executed this technique he was taught by his sensi and it didn't stop or kill the guy he was fighting. I believe Benny, had he executed that same technique with a sword and shield in his hands it would have, martial arts and it's roots from war I think gets overlooked alot Viking samurai man, hey thanks for these videos boss, keep them coming. I would like to see you interview Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Jorse Gracie, Ken Shamrock, get some of these guys insights on training and fighting, that would be sweet.
Just watched your interview with Steven Lambert from a year ago talking about the Jet fighting the real prisoner. I was geared up for more Benny content.
I never took nobody for granted . That’s why Sensei Urquidez is a champion.
He's a true expert and legend. Definitely he needs a movie based on his life , fights and especially martial arts philosophy. Awesome interview 😎😎😎
I'm glad that I was able to train some w Sensei Benny
This wonderful guy breathes martial arts.
The more I learn, see and hear from and of Master Benny the more I realize he is top 5 one of the greatest Martial Artists of all time!

Benny ‘ The Jet ‘ Urquidez A True Warrior ☯️🤎
‘The Jet’ needs his own pod cast, he is fascinating, what a champion! Great interviews with him, outstanding mate.
I can't believe I'm hearing Sensei Benny's wisdom for free! Thanks a lot Mr. Viking.
Another revelation from a true warrior. This channel beats big news companies.
This explains so much why he is such a great fighter and master. One of a kind!
This man is a treasure, keep on keeping on Benny, especially on life issues. You rule
7:20 Rhythmic endurance, that’s what he’s talking about. It allows you keep training without brain fatigue.
I liked the part of Benny talking about his training methods...the 6:00 in the afternoon 'Meditation' is something i never thought of. Everything is more Mental than physical and I think he trained the right way! I gotta try that to see what happens.
Met him when I was 14 years old ( Im 62 now) for me he will always be the greatest. A Warrior and a Gentleman.
Because of the movies I grew up with as a kid(Dragons Forever, Wheels on Meals, Grosse Pointe Blank etc), I was terrified of Benny the Jet! He was like this martial arts supervillian to me. An inspiration and legend. Absolutely proud to be apart of his system and organization.

after hearing him talk here explaining his training i might get this book, this really caught my attention.
👍 great content
Breath control under different types of stressful situations is a thing to master, The Jet is right.
His fight with Jackie Chan in the movie meals on weals is one of the best I ever sow and the best by many. He made Jackie Chan earned that money Big Time. I wish that he had more movies.
The thing about Benny was you could show him something he'd never seen before , and then 2 weeks later he would be teaching you how to do it better.
Enjoying these. Great stuff. Benny is a favorite of mine.
Sensei Benny the Jet!!!! The master 🙌 👏 👊❤

There needs to be a movie about Sensei

Just watched your interview with Steven Lambert from a year ago talking about the Jet fighting the real prisoner. I was geared up for more Benny content.
Cool! I did'nt know about Ukidokan Karate. Of course I knew about Sensei Benny formidable career in the ring, but not about that.
