Benny has been one of my best friends since I was 16.we are still great friends. We have been friends for over 55 years. He even had me corner for a fight in Japan. Best experience of my life.

Sensei Benny!! I am in shock there’s only eight people in the class. If I lived anywhere near I would be living in that gym. That guy has so much knowledge and he’s so willing to share it. Incredible. Legend.

You know how I can tell you are a great martial artist? Because of your humility and willingness to learn from others!
Master Benny’s class should be full of people especially youngsters.
People want MMA and Muay Thai and that is unfortunate as he has so much knowledge and experience to share.
However Master Benny is humble enough to teach any one.
Was lucky enough to train with benny in 80s his wise coahing stayed with me ever since He is a REAL MASTER .

This is my favorite episode by far, William! Well done -- Sensei Benny is one of my most favorite martial artists of all time. A legend, true champion and humble gentleman with a tremendous abundance of generosity. i grew up reading his books and watching his fights on TV during my own martial journey. I got to attend a seminar with him at Dragonfest and it was so transformative. I can't wait to see Part 2!
Also, I really enjoyed your video on teaching Zoom classes -- you are really making the most of this quarantine situation and continuing to lead and inspire your students. Osu!

What gets me about legendary ex-world champions is that htye are willing to teach civilians yet none of them train fighters ...and take them into the PRO ranks. Benny and other legendary kickboxers (e.g. Bill Wallace) constantly teach but only civilians....whom they know NONE will ever turn PRO. :) Yet, ironically, the people who DO turn PRO e.g. MMA train in gyms that produced champions. But weren't "legendary". But qualified. Go figure.
