Update: I've got a mat and some blocks since i last did this and they are fabulous. The blocks really helped with this practice. I loved yoga before (thanks to Uliana) but I love it even more now i have a super squishy mat. It's so comfy and has great grip. It's a revelation. 🤗🤗

Thanks for this practice. It made getting into the splits less intimidating. 🥰

This was so great especially since my right hip had been bothering me today. I couldn’t make it all the way down for the split but came pretty close 😊

Interesting! When I used to be able to do front split, I always came into position by sliding the back foot further back. Never did it from the front. This way it's definitely more challenging for me

Both variations are totally fine, I personally like to alternate between them to keep it interesting))

This was great! I can imagine how repeating it would get me closer to the splits. Thanks!

I loved that. I've never been able to do the splits but i've never worked at it. Is it possible to get there into the full splits at 56 years old if I keep working at it? It would be such an achievement. Thank you. 😃😃

we will never know what's possible if we don't try)) I thought getting into front split at 28 was impossible))
the key is consistency and regular practice) also, working on strength as well as flexibility, because in my experience just stretching won't cut it, working on active flexibility and strength in the split can make you progress faster. I hope to make more videos on this topic soon))

@@yogawithuliana That's great. Thank you. We won't know until we try. I'm so on board with that. I do strength work with weights (trying hard to stay fit and healthy!😃). Will keep working at it and watch out for more videos. Fab. Love it. 😁

That is interesting! What kind of strenght training do you recommend to help with front splits? Could you do a video on that? 🙏

I would love to know if you were successful??!!!! I cannot believe that at 43 (almost 44 lol) I was able to do them again!!!! I was pretty nimble as an adolescent, but the last time I attempted was about 10 years ago, so I was TERRIFIED!! And this is only after dropping 30lbs and gaining strength/ muscle back THANKS TO ULIANA!!!!!! So yes, we only know if we try. You know, I used to hate when I heard that phrase,"there is no try, they're is only do". I cannot stand that way of thinking, I sure as heck can try, and try try again until I whoop that whatever it is' a**!!!!!!!!!! Lol. Anywho, thank you, Uliana you have helped me so much and I am still finding ways my body is transforming EVERYDAY, literally!!!! Thank you so much!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Ouch.😳 Lol. I remember when this was easy for me. I played ice hockey as a netminder for 20 years and used to do this in my equipment. I still made it all the way through and saved this. I just didn't get to the point where you were ♥️🇩🇪☺️
