The arctic blast behind it gonna be frozen treachery... So, I'm right here with you! Bout to binge & catch up on your vids. You're a national treasure, Kristy. Very inspiring! I am looking forward to ordering your paints & brushes. I have found that if my supplies are inspiring then I actually USE them as often as possible. I love line & wash. Got myself some decent fountain pens & inks. Sure enough, my sketches are improving as is my handwriting. Practice makes perfect. Inspiring supplies gets me practicing ergo the improvements follow. I have been an artist all my life, but have been a bit busy as a human rights investigator, so my art has suffered. Your channel & several others have resurrected my art! I love this! I have the hardest time over thinking everything and telling myself “let’s do a quick and simple sketch” and end up spending an hour just staring at it trying to adjust and decide colors, details, etc. I have a very literal thinking brain and it hijacks my creative brain a lot 😅

There is no way I'm ready for pomegranates -- other than eating, of course. The berries are like little kernels, bright red and translucent and then the pithy white center showing. There is so much that has to be represented in the tiny little pomegranate berry. It's an amazing fruit. that's good for you too!
I promise this fruit is super beginner friendly and forgiving to paint!!
This was so soul-giving to me today. It seems so simple, Kristy, but I cannot tell you how much I needed this reminder of joy today. Thank you for sharing the joy, sharing the beauty, sharing the simplicity of paint to paper, and reminding me of the necessary gift of just letting a painting happen for the joy of the experience.

I'm wondering about the ink you used with the brushes. Is it water-soluble? So you can still clean your brushes in straight water? I tried to find this info in the materials, but couldn't find it.
Yup water soluble but more like a high draining watercolor so fairly permanent

I really need to relax. I was stressing so much about you putting that brush in the inks. It was wasting ink! It’s “supposed to be” used with pens. I’m so stingy with my ink. I need help
Well I admit. I got the inks for free so that helped with my freedom but these inks are credible with a brush too
