This song is inspired by the legendary Midgaard Serpent. The Norse sagas tell of a sea beast that is so large it can wrap itself around the earth. Deep in the ocean abyss it lurks until the apocalypse. Prophecy says that Thor and Jörmungandr will have their last battle on Ragnarök, where Thor will grab the serpent by its tongue and strike it in its head with his mighty Mjolinr (War Hammer). Jörmungandr will die and its venom will poison Thor, he will fall after his three final steps sacrificing his life. Lesson to be learned - Always stand up for good, be a warrior, and fight evil to help make a better world! Even on the apocalypse Thor will have his courage and bravery until the end!

I think it sings to any soul connected to the forces of nature. Vikings are built tough to be able to navigate the violent Norse sea; especially in winter. This music personifies the fierceness of both man and nature.
Norwegians don't have souls. They are Northern demons with ice in their veins, nails of hardened steel , and teeth of volcanic obsidian. Their only weakness is love for Swedish furniture , cars, and food. In fact GOT Winter King and White Walkers were modeled on Norwegians.
