It seems that Vorlon way of thinking is very different. This "lesson" was not only about the beauty of the choir. Without his bar, Sheridan was in a very special state. Not a captain of the EarthForce, not a governor of a space station. Not even as John Sheridan, no one will ever know his name. At one moment, he might just simply...be.
You misunderstood. There was one organic life on the scan of Kosh's ship, and it was the ship. They did say Earth Force scanners couldn't penetrate the ship.
We shall revisit this point upon the Season 2 finale...

The Teddy Bear ends up on a children's TV show called "Space Cases" written/produced by Bill Mumy, who plays Lennier.
All of the merch in the gift shop was the real stuff. This was a multi-layered idea. They were hoping the brief scenes with the merch might help to encourage more sales.
Also the "some deep space franchise" line being a playful (...possibly not playful) shot at Deep Space Nine never fails to make me laugh.
"Kosh keeps giving one word answers, it's starting to annoy me!"
Kosh: "Good!"
"One moment of perfect beauty."
This episode contains possibly the best Ivanova line in the whole of B5.
And the best bear hitting the windshield scene.
Old Na'toth actress is back! As a lawyer... Oh well.
This is not a Deep Space franchise *wink wink*
This episode may not be very big in the story, but it has one crucial element that I find very useful on rewatches. Lennier had many family members aboard the Black Star that Sheridan blew up. The Third Fane of Chudomo were big in the Earth-Minbari war, and Sheridan blew up their flagship. It's a cool detail that might play a role later.

29:00 That was a SPACED teddy bear ... spacing is punishment for treason.
You know, it just occurred to me that bear has likely been drifting there for every event in Babylon 5's history after this point.
When you don't have time right now but the only answer is "Bitch, I'm a Vorlon"
The bear is a cute comedic bit at the end but it was worth sending a ship out to find out what the object was because command will want to keep the shipping lane between the gate and the station clear of navigation hazards. A ship decelerating hits a solid rock or even that stupid bear if the ship is going fast enough and the thing could punch through a ship's hull.
“We’re not some Deep Space Franchise” was an unsubtle, friendly jab at rival Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Hungover Vir's inability to count beyond 14 reminds me of the Steve Martin film The Man with Two Brains - "You cooked her nines!"
The Mimbari pride themselves on never lying.
That there is honor in helping someone save face.
I never realized before but here Sheridan’s answer save face and save honor with the truth.
I dont know if you have seen the events of the blackstar’s destruction in the movie but Sheridan behaved the same way
21:25, if you haven't figured it out, same episode reveals that male Centari have, ehmm, extra fertilizing organs. Hence Londo's embarrasment to have a doll without those.... organs.😂
FYI His female lawyer is the actress who NOW plays Na'Toth.
The "organic life form" on the ship ... is THE SHIP ITSELF!
Btw the next show still has the bear floating around in space.
From here on out. The only thing you can be sure of is what you have watched previously. Any guess or theory you can cook up. Won't even be close to what you'll see. Lol
The Teddy bear story:
JMS hired Peter David to do a couple of scripts for B5, and to write a series of "canon" books. To show appreciation, David's wife bought a custom Teddy bear with JS embroidery.
The problem is- JMS is a bit of a curmudgeon- he really doesn't do "cute" - he swore retribution on Peter David......and added the scene where the teddy bear got spaced....
That exact bear later appeared in an episode of Space Cases, which was written by the same guy. It had the crew on Space Cases finding a booby trapped teddy bear floating in deep space.
@@RetroRobotRadio As I recall, it was booby trapped by a evil race called the Straczyn
JMS also hired an actor to wear a bear costume and follow Peter David around a convention. Peter realized what was up, approached the man in the bear costume, and told him, "Oh, Peter David had to cancel." The actor left.
Sheridan just can't bear with it in this one.

I love the model of B5 in the shop. The official plastic kit that was released by Revell wasn't as big.
