#BoloDaProducer #Arturia #Minilab - Видеоклипы
There are so many videos on you tube that I learn about products that I am interested in or watch detailed tutorials about those products.
The problem is in finding those videos that honestly help you. I came across your video and I want to thank you for really helping make my mind up, that this is the product for me.I have no musical talent, but you made me feel that I would enjoy this product despite not knowing anything.
So, you earned my subscription.
Keep up the good work.
Quite the contrary for me!! The midi port might be the only reason I buy it! I have tabletop/rack analog synths and this is a perfect companion.
The midi port was the only reason I went with the launchkey mini mk3. I liked the minilab 2 better in every way, but I needed the midi out. Since the minilab 3 had a sull size midi port, I'm selling the launchkey and getting this.
@bolo, you're wrong! The midi port is a serious value add for those of us that play live with hardware! I play live house music, on synths and samplers, no DAW. I try to keep the rig as small as possible, which means I'm not bringing out a full size midi keyboard to the set. Having a laptop sized 5 pin midi controller with arps, hold, faders and encoders allows me to riff during the show and easily control parameters that either don't exist on the units' own UI or are hard to get to.
EXACTLY this....The DIN MIDI port was for me the only thing missing on the Mk2. (apart from the fact this luckily has USB C)
Thanks for the review. Great video!
I totally agree that it should have its dedicated DAW control buttons (without having to hold the Shift key)
100%
The purpose of this controller is for portability. If you want a work station, its going to be a lot more pricey.
Thank god they put original 5pin midi… bolo what the heck is you talkin bout 🤷🏾♂️
Hey hey hey… just my humble opinion 😂
Fasho bro 💯... lol it's all good 👍🏾
@@BoloDaProducer It's pretty out there though, why would you not appreciate being able to work with midi properly?
Good job Bolo, I got the Midilab Mk2 , I think I’m a good ahead and get the 3 after chekin this out …. Salute Big Bro
Sweet review.
Thinking about picking it up, still mulling between the amount of keys/desk space/workflow.
Thanks Bolo! Great video. I have a Korg Volca FM2 and Elektron Analog 4 and Elektron Syntakt. Will I be able to use the Minilab 3 as a midi keyboard for them?
I appreciate the DIN MIDI port because it allows me to keep it connected to the computer via USB for MIDI Control Center assignments while still keeping it connected via DIN MIDI to my MIDI interface to control my other devices.
The wood grain looks dope on the side. Dope video Bolo 🎰
Thanks
The 5 Pin midi can be use to add Bluetooth.
Great choice for Arturia Analog Lab and V Collection users!
good info bolo..i just bought a minilab today...still try to hook it up tho
Using the arpeg on vintage gear w no arpeg and using the Midi port for that vintage board, that's one of the main benefits when you got a half dozen analog synths from the 80s
Bolooo💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks for the video! : ) Would you recommend this in front of Akai Professional - MPK Mini Play MK3 or the ARAI is better ?
How does this compare to the FL Key (Novation) ? Would you say it is any better, like the integration ?
I’m loving the white ❤😊
Yeah it dope💪🏾
@@BoloDaProducer I’m just thinking do I deserve it because I already have the akai mpk mini 2
I will say this. I don't own any other Mido keyboard, and I use this to compose all kinds of music because my desk is not big enough.
No issues, it's been great and sits perfectly on my desk. I do want to upgrade and use this as a portable midi keyboard. any RECOMMENDATIONS ?
Thanks Bolo that keyboard doesn’t seem bad tho👍🏾
Nah it’s not bad at all
I feel like the minis don't let you get down like I really need to. They are really flimsy. Good for bare bones starters - but not good for any wild performance qualities.
👍🏾
Yup the part by the pads flexes. It's cheap
Absolutely. And the keys are so hard that its a challenge to play fast tempo melodies on this.
Question… if i turn the master bass of a preset completely down to -10 dB does that cut out all of the low frequencies or are they just not hearable anymore ? Sorry I’m a newb and would appreciate some help on this many thanks 🙏
Torn between this and the launchkey mini mk3, which one would you recommend?
I’m confused between Novation launchkey or minilab 3 for Ableton, what should i pick?
I can’t really play on 25 keys. My only complaint. The feel is awesome and is perfect if you don’t need more keys.
I feel ya
Cannot agree more...I got mine was realised I should have ordered 49 or 61 key controllers...
Is pretty worth...is bloody good actually....next level
Dislike it…..took the 3 back and bought the 2 and loved it…..couldn’t get the 3 to link up…..it kept telling me it couldn’t recognize the usb port
didn't know about your channel before. but you have some awesome and honest review! and your voice is dope.
Hey Bolo, is there a way to set it up to use q links for my MPC one?
hey how did you get to control the MINILAB3 in studio one with analog lab v I'm unable to use the controls and switched to ARTURIA mode
I have a KeyLab Essential 61, I am extremely disappointed in the key bed. I am curious how the MiniLab 3 compares, I am very skeptical at this price point.
I have arturia minilab but I never used it....I'm so used to clicking in I forgot how to play keys 😆
🤣🤣💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
My mac no detect my arturia, when i plug it close the aplication arturia midi control
Native Instruments pretty much does the same thing with their software and hardware; Kontakt works awesome with their keyboards, and Maschine and Traktor follow suit with their respective controllers. But it can be like pulling teeth (without novicane) to get any other controller to talk to the software beyond really basic functionality.
It's frustrating; especially if you're new and just starting out with the intro/lite editions of the software, and haven't dug deep into what each suite can bring you.
Look into Cubase 12 Remote Controller Script. You can make custom layouts for any gear, this one in particular is just one click from full functionality.
Arturia MiniLAB 3 or M-Audio Oxygen Pro 32?
I need all the ports eventhough I don't use em lol
😂 💪🏾💪🏾
@5:50 That's why I bought it.
I personally wish they would add Bluetooth and Batteries to these controllers.
No way, the input lag would be unbearable!
@@lostlupo I use lumi keys.never had a lag issue with bluetooth
@@lostlupo I’ve used XKey Air and never had lag issues. It’s midi not audio. That’s different.
@@bjamminsincebirth3494 I guess you're right, I've just had a lot of trouble with Bluetooth stuff so I don't trust that a lot, not as much as wired at least. For this maybe I would opt for a 2.4Ghz adapter rather than Bluetooth personally since Bluetooth isn't really well implemented in Windows.
Where you get that triller hat 😮
I visited their offices
@@BoloDaProducer u perform too?! Wow how was that experience
🤠✌🏻WoooooWuuuuu YEAH🤠✌🏻
What would you say is better between this and a Komplete Kontrol A25?
They both work good on their respective software
Unless you need deep integration with KK, get the arturia. I have M32 and it's very clicky and loud but the controls for KK is really good. It's functional but I didn't fell in love with it. Also I bought Maschine mk3 so I have no use for it.
@@MS7.7 I’ve been debating on whether I needed it for a while now honestly. I’ve got the Maschine Mikro, and I use the keyboard and chord functions to play stuff already. But my wife got me one for Christmas, the A49 I accidentally found out the other day because she had it sitting in our closet. 😂 So I’m gonna rock with that and see how it goes.
What are you saying, the chord mode is not needed? Do you look at it from your view only?? :-) Same with the Midi. You do not want the midi notes transferred to your DAW?? It is called a Midi controller by the way ...haha...!! But no Midi ports are needed?
@@rea639 I understand that but you need some sort of Middi connection of course and a chord mode is great for a smaller controller
Can I got one for Christmas 🎄🎅🏾😁😁🎧🎧🎧🎹🎹🎹🎹 brotha show us How to play with in music 🎶 beat
Also late, because I couldn't get it to work on Linux :/
Get the 'Impact LX25+'
Honestly if you don't care about the software that comes with what you buy this is probably the best bang for your buck at this size.
You'll literally be able to control just about any DAW and any third party plug in!
And you also has a learned feature so you can customize the controls as you see fit.
It also gives you full size keys but it admittedly it's slightly less quality of keys but they're more full size!
@@brandonmoss7976 Thanks for the tip. Been abandoning it every year after another fruitless attempt to get it to do what I want. This time I'm a bit closer, as right after I wrote this I got it working slightly, now I need to integrate it into Renoise. It's the MiniLab btw, not the MiniLab 3. Odd how you pay for the device and then not even get a free good packet of synths with it.
No compatible with ipad. Arturia mk2 yes. I dont understand that
really? i'm about to get one of these to pair with an ipad 9.
ItzZLiTTYUp
Do you know why those who use soft synths or want to control external modules will never be fully satisfied with any controller? Because for the past 20 years that soft synths have dominated music production, no MIDI Controller manufacturer has thought to design a basic subtractive synthesis layout that would fully match what you see in 90% of soft synths.
It's unthinkable how for 20 years or more we've been seeing the same initial idea being recycled, that MIDI controllers resemble mixing consoles and NOT actual instruments ( with LFO, ADSRs, OSC, ENV AMT, FILTER, RESONANCE etc). Obviously with the addition of some extra assignable knobs or faders.
The only feature I agree with is the MIDI out feature, as neo-classical musicians who use different modules in live gigs are increasing day by day
Honest review but Minilab's target audience is not professional producers. So it doesn't make that sense to review it from a pro point of view. Chord and arp functions are really useful for beginners or bedroom producers for sure IMO.
Yeah I bought it as a beginner who knows nothing and has very little space for something bigger.
Disagree with the criticisms, arp and chords is a big deal for me
Late? Better you than your GF/wife.....
Tell the truth, this thing is a POS.
