I really wish they included missiles launchers like we had back in the day for the original seekers in their jet mode. Only Dirge and Ramjet didn't have them. It's amazing the amount of the accessories we got back in the 80s. Plus they had some diecast thrown in and still cost less money. I'd be happy if they just look liked launchers. They don't need to be functional if safety concerns are the issue. On another note, at least we don't have to wait for Toyhax to release a decal set. :)
You are right! The wings should have been removable. The underside of the wings in jet mode, should be facing behind him in robot mode. What a big miss from Hasbro TT!
If you want to keep G1 Cartoon accurate, the smaller front part of the wings(that look like fins) stay attached to the bigger part of his wings in robot mode. Maybe you can pop the bigger wings off and switch them on the opposite sides of his legs(unless those are locked into place by a cylinder piece of plastic or metal?)?

Good one Russ! Since I didn't get the 1st verison it's crazy expensive now, this is a good alternative as well. Picked this up together with Earthrise SkyLynx.. If you noticed on the boxset of SkyLynx, Dirge is seen at the lower corner battling with the mighty autobot!
Aaarg! G1 Seekers (coneheads) were never meant to be transformed into robot mode with the nosecone pointing up. That's why it looks so stupid. It should be pointed back as it was with Starscream, Thundercracker, etc. The box art and instructions from G1 confirm this. The whole 'Conehead' thing was created for the cartoon and was not based on the toys (which came first!)
Thanks for the early review. For the $35 USD price tag, this has now become a no for me. Specifically as I mentioned below, Robot mode wing setup is not accurate, Dirge's cone head being shorter than his shoulder points is not accurate, no front landing gear in Jet mode, also in Jet mode those fat looking type missile mounts should have been included and last those high shoulder points in Robot mode are supposed to be on top of his shoulders and not directly behind his shoulders.

Now I'm reluctant to open the boxes up on newer ones I posses now and I'm very particular about G1 Cartoon accuracy.
Let’s just hope they re-release Ramjet and Thrust now, it was pretty unfair to just not give UK collectors even a chance to get these figures back in 2020
@@thenuclearsandwich it was my first year of proper collecting so I guess I wasn’t as aware at that time. But it did lead me to getting a US Amazon account to eventually (and maybe a little luckily) getting some of the other exclusives on there in that year, especially Devastator

I was lucky enough to be able to get all of the ER seekers at retail during their original release. I really like all of them. The lack of landing gear sorta blows, but they are rarely in their jet modes on my shelf anyway. I’m glad they are finally getting these guys back out there…took them long enough…shouldn’t have been that limited to begin with.
I was really hope for a mold update similarly to what we got with 86 Ironhide because the ER Seekers don't have waist swivels and have the jet cones just hanging off the back in robot mode, which looks atrocious.
Just got this figure now I’m so happy they re released him since I missed out on the 2 pack with him and ramjet hopefully they re release him too but as much as I hope they will do it they probably won’t re release thrust😭 Great video btw
I hate how the SS86 Starscream was a just a redeco of the ER version. He doesn't look right for the Movie as he is not the right astethic in WFC. The alt mode is amazing, but he should be smooth and look exactly like the 86 Moive for SS. It was cheap and lazy for me. The accessories are wicked granted and the Earthrise one is perfect for WFC, but not for the 86 perfection in crayons.
Hello I’m a Joe collector but looking at expanding into modern TF. Is Dirge the first seeker released in the legacy line? If so, are the others expected?
There was an armada Starscream. But from the original 6 G1 he’s the first. Unless you count the core class size as we have had skywarp, thundercracker already and Starscream is being re packaged. Easiest thing is to go to tfwiki and look at the toyline
Mine came today as well. Glad I didnt spend 200 quid to get the two pack! Hopefully the other two are released soon. How much did you pay for your Thrust? I cant complain about the Seekers, except for my Earthrise Thundercracker is two different tones of blue! Oh and SG Starscream is pretty much a cream colour now! Spoiler pack Megatron has gone a bluey/green on some of the plastic as well, but he isn't a Seeker so who cares. Galvatron calls himself a Seeker in IDW Heart of Darkness, so maybe Megatron could pass for a Seeker by proxy?
@ToysareRuss blimey. That is a steal compared to a lot of the aftermarket prices. At least 100 quid and a lot more in some instances! I had a result today talking of expensive figures...RP44 Thomas for 95 including shipping. He is just missing the alt face. Bargain! Not the Fans Toys version which has been one of my grails for ages, but it is supposedly better in many ways!
@@ToysareRuss As Magic Square and Newage have proven many times, there is always a creative way for designers to get around those type of issues/obstacles. Hasbro TT lacks that creativity for a much bigger company. This tells me Hasbro TT only cares about mass production for profit and not about accuracy. A big company cutting corners. I could give so many examples of different big companies doing so. I apologize for being overcritical, but the fact is not everyone can afford/shell out for G1 Master Piece TF's which are usually more G1 Cartoon accurate, so there are some expectation to comes close even with some of the Legacy Evolution line in regard to G1.
Siege Skywarp would be another good repack, and then WFC Runabout!

How were you able to get this so soon? Dirge pre-orders aren't being released until August or does the UK get it sooner?

This one is based on the original. The ROTF is good but about half this one’s size
